Hello, i have a question, it's a way to change from the stock t-mobile ROM to a stock unlocked version? i don't like the t-mobile apps and that stuff, i just made this process in my old M9 ans M8, but i don't know if the process is the same on the U11 life.
are the same steps? Unlock bootloader, make the s-off, change CID, install new ROM?
Thanks guys

Steps would be similar, Unlock bootloader, Install twrp, install new ROM.
S-off is not available for this device, no need to change CID.

Here is a question:
Where is US open market ROM for TWRP, or how can I build TWRP flashable ROM from official RUU?

Not sure on an open market ROM, to build one you will need the system and boot images from the ruu. Use the HTC-RUU Decrypt Tool to get them from the ruu.
Use superr kitchen to build the rom.
Here is a Stock rom based on the unlocked ruu 2.15.617.12
Works on T-Mobile

it is recommended to change your CID to SuperCID, however, for rogers users we don't need to..since our bootloader is unlockable from htcdev straight.
for custom roms.
1. unlock your bl if you havent
2. flash the custom recovery image, cwm or trwp..
3. put ur custom roms in your internel sdcard, and go from there.

yes, then you need to change to supercid and then relock your bootloader.
flash 1.85 ruu
unlock your bootloader
flash cwm
then flash cleanrom 2.1

This is the part that is confusing...we do or do not need to have SuperCID? For one, I have been holding off on installing any of the custom ROMs as im not sure about this step. I've been unable to successfully get SuperCID on my rooted/unlocked/CWM installed Rogers HOX. Would love to try some of the new ROMs. A Rogers specific guide would be awesome. Anyone up to it?

I'm pretty sure you only need SuperCID if you plan on using any of the other region's RUUs.
I think that the normal CID should be fine for just flashing CWM ROMs

Read the top post of the ROM thread you want to flash. It will usually tell you if there are any extra steps.
In particular, some ROMs may require that your kernel be from a certain firmware version. For example, many of the ROMs right now are based on the 1.85 kernel. But you can often flash the newer kernel by pushing the boot.img for the custom ROM using fastboot. But it should say in the particular ROM thread you are looking at.

What ROM do you want to flash? CleanROM 2.2 and Xi40 now have flashable boot images (boot.img). So no need to update to 1.85 first.
Sweet...gonna give it a try!
Hi guys im new with this device(HTC Sensation Z710e) so i have some doubts. This is what i have done:
*Unlock Bootloader with Revolutionary. I got S-OFF
*CWM Recovery Installed.
*Rooted device.
Now, my phone is xtremely bad in benchs... about 800 in Quadrant and some more little issues.
So, what more do i need to do if i want to install a custom rom?
Pd: I have read some about the radio and CID but i dont know if i have to set supercid to install a custom or if it is only for Ruu´s
Pd2:How do i upgrade to ICS? My phone is still on GB.
Thankyou all.

Hi,
Updating to super CID will make flashing firmware much easier.
Radio gets updated with the firmware.
To get ICS you need to update your firmware.
Look HERE
Quadrants are not the best way of judging the speed of a ROM

Hi,
In theory,yes.
I haven't done GB in a while.
You might want to SUPERWIPE before you flash the ROM.
This will clean your phone of any previous ROM.
Hope you've backed up your important stuff.
In theory, Hmmm... However, i will make a Nandroid Backup and if something goes wrong i will Restore and that´s all right?

Better would be S-Off, but yes, you should be able to flash a rom with this.
But don't forget to flash boot.img from your rom with fastboot, every time you flash a new rom.

Thanks, but I can't find any rom for my region, icm:HTC_J15. Could you give me a link to download a rom for my region ?
Don't mix it with official updates from HTC!
A (custom) rom is made not by HTC, this you can use.
A update by HTC don't have a rom.zip inside.
A RUU has a rom inside, but this is cid related.
So better clarify, what you are searching or what you want to do!

Your phone must have android running, then you can try rumrunner.us
Facepalm or moonshine are for previous software versions.
But as it seems, the side is down at the moment.

Hi,
I used rumrunner.us and now my device is S-OFF. Therefore I must be able to flash other roms after changing my cid and hboot version. Is it right ?
And another question is,
I've flashed Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed.zip and superuser.apk has been installed but those programs that want to get root access, can't do this like Root Explorer, and in RootValidator as you can see in the picture below, shows "Root was denied to this app!", and from ADB I can to get root access, but why programs don't have any root access ?
Thanks.

Depends on, if we are talking about official HTC roms/updates or custom roms. For custom roms you usually don't need to change CID.

You should use SuperSu, because i'm not sure that Superuser is still in development (especially for newer Android versions).
Grab the zip file here and flash in recovery (should also remove Superuser you have already flashed).

So I have s-off now but I'm not sure what to do about the firmware. It's running 1.27.502.5 but I don't know how to upgrade the firmare. The roms I see seem to require it. Is there a rom anyone recomends for my phone as is? Or upgrade?

If it IS us and not unlocked, see this thread to upgrade to firmware 1.57: http://forum.xda-developers.com/one...nvert-to-htc-usa-unlocked-1-12-t3271861/page8
