mobile images are not viewed in the correct sequence - General Questions and Answers

Hello everybody. When I connect my Galaxy Note 4 to the computer as a USB device
and open the sub-folders of whatsApp or Viber that contain images,
I succeed to open the first image in the sub-folder but when I press the arrow keys on keyboard
(right, left, up and down) to view images sequentially, I don't get the next images present in the sub-folder,
rather, I get other images that seem to be icons or system images.
For example if the thumbnails of images present in the sub-folder show different images
of flowers, when I open the first image it is opened as a flower, but when I use arrow keys I see the image of
the Facebook like (thumb up), then empty image, then Google logo and so on.
When I use softwares like Apowersoft phone manager I can view images as a gallery in the correct sequence
but just when I open the mobile as USB device I get such issue. How can I fix this issue please?
And are there free softwares that can view mobile contents like Apowersfot do?
The trouble with Apowersoft is that I can view images but I can't export them to computer unless I pay
to register the software, so I wonder if there are totally free softwares that enable me to view and export images or videos
from mobile to computer. Thanks in advance

Viewing JPS/MPO files in 3D without going into gallery first?

Anyone know how to view JPS/MPO files in 3D without going into gallery first?
I use TwinPic to view the public gallery as well as sharing 3D photos between my brother (has O3D too), if we open any pic that it downloads it give a list of apps to open it in, if I choose the Gallery it opens in 2D and no option to change to 3D (no options at all like "share" etc, just zoom)
the only way I've found to view photos in 3D is to do it by going in to the gallery app, but most photos don't show up so I have to run the 3rd party app SDRescan to get them to show (very poor and time consuming, especially since I have a 32Gb card in that's nearly full!)
Users of the HTC Evo 3D just click a photo, it downloads and displays in 3D without them having to leave the app they are in (web browser or TwinPic) and they don't have to rescan the internal memory either!
The same problem faced me, I solved it by the following way:
Move all files from:
sdcard/download/twin-pic
To:
sdcard/twin-pic
Then, you will see all pictures in the gallery (It will do scanning automatically).
Maybe we have to ask the developer to allow us to choose the downloaded images location so may that solves the problem.
If you use Polaris Office or another file browser you can just browse to the folder where you stored the images and they open in the image viewer where you can enable 3D.

so no way to view straight away within the app like Evo 3D users can do?
we shouldn't have to move all photos to another folder
we shouldn't have to open up file explorer apps (Astro doesn't work btw, nor does any other that asks what app to open it in, if I choose the stock "Gallery" there's no 3D option, no share option etc, just zoom)

[Q] Can't seem to make swipe view work but eventually it works on its own

Hi
I use my Samsung Galaxy S4 that is stock and rooted with stick mount, an on the go USB cable and a USB compact flash reader to read compact flash memory to retrieve pictures from my trail cameras.
I load the photos from the compact flash to the external SD card of my device my device using My files and view the pictures using My Files
After copying the files to my SD card I can view the pictures one at a time just fine after loading.
When I select a picture Android asks me what app I want to use I always choose the Gallery
(note:I have tried other apps with swipe view capability of photos but it doesn't change things)
If I use My Files long enough it will start working the way I want/expect.
What I want/expect is to have a swipe view (sometimes there can be hundreds of photos of the same deer standing in front of the camera eating for hours, it can be a squirrel or a rabbit or just the wind moving some bushes so I want to quickly find some more interesting shots ) i.e. to be able to touch outside the frame of the picture and get a swipe view.
When I have the swipe view, I can swipe the current photo and got to the next photo or at the bottom have a list of little pictures I can scroll through to quickly and select the photo that interest me.
I beat and curse and thrash around to try to get swipe view enabled but I have never been able to make it work by actually doing anything but a few hours later it magically it seems to work as one would expect i.e. I use My files to open a picture (it then calls Gallery) and by touching outside the frame enables swipe view i.e. by swiping a photo to go to the previous or the next photo in the directory or scroll a list of little pictures at the bottom of the screen.
Can someone please help me to make this work out of the gate and not have to wait on the "magic" to happen?
A little background
My resident smart guy/employee/IT guy says that it must be building an index to create the swipe view, now this makes sense but sometimes I only have three photos.
I can understand it might take a while to build and index for hundreds of photos but for three pictures???
So if this is the case the build index must be scheduled to run periodically.
If I knew what needed to happen I could write a program that would force the build of an index.
A little more more background
Android version 4.2.2 (I would update but I've heard that it would/could unroot my device and not allow me to re-root (I don't want to re-root either)

[Q] How to change the date for video files

Hi, I've just rooted the Nexus 5 and, before doing it, I saved all my photos and videos on my desktop.
Once the process was finished I copied back all the files but now all my videos are on top of the gallery, while the photos are aligned correctly. The date of the photos are correct, the video's ones are not, the copy overwrited the creation date with the actual date.
I tried to modify that in Windows but once I copy them back the date is updated immediately.
Is there a way to fix this?
I tried to edit the info directly on the Nexus but in debug mode I cannot modify anything, I have to copy them on my pc (and if I disable the debug mode I cannot browse the Nexus on Windows)

Trying to find camera app that displays image file name

Just wondering if anybody out there might know of a camera app (or some other way to achieve this) that will display the image file name automatically for a period of time after taking a photo. I am using my android phone camera to record literally thousands of images of maintenance items and I have to write down the image file name on the inspection form each time. This is so that a link to the file can be built back up in excel and the correct image can be imported into the correct record back in the office. I can see the image name easily enough by selecting the image view soft button after taking a picture and then tapping the picture and the file name is displayed for a couple seconds at the top. The display usually disappears before I get the whole thing written down so have to hit it a couple times. This is just a pain and a time limiting factor when I have to do thousands. I'm trying to find a camera app (or other means) that will remove a step or two from the process. Any ideas?
The other thing that would help is being able to change the file naming protocol of captured images to sequential instead of the (often preferred) date/timestamp. I know this seems like a step backwards and most people try to change the protocol the other way but for my purpose, knowing I just have to add 1 to the previous file name is sooooooooo much quicker.

Android system takes smaller copy of all images on the device (thumbnails) and store them in various hidden locations ,even after you delete the original image or move it to encrypted application.
other apps as well doing the same process for catching images such as WhatsApp and Viber for the sent or received images
nowadays this thumbnails are no longer tiny or blurry images due to the massive screen resolutions
all these images are not visible in the system Gallery, but my app collect them all in one place so you can use them for
* Image recovery if the original images deleted
* Free up space
* or to insure that your private images no longer exists.
