Hey folks, please tell how to safely take off the glass cover without disassembling anything and does replacement cover comes with glue on one side for application?
And also how to make sure that you don't take off the black plate (the one having slots for camera and led flash) in the process?

Hi Everyone
Does anyone know how to take apart the VOX so that the camera lens can be cleaned... mine has some moisture behind it the lens cover.
I have tried to find a service manual but cant find one...
Anyone know ?
Cheers
SteveC
You can carefully pry off the silver back (saying 2.0 megapixels) with a small knife and then you'll have access to the plastic lens-cover, which also can be removed. It's just glued to the back.
However, I have the same problem... It's like a haze on the plastic, haven't been able to clean it :-( Have been thinking to just remove the plastic lens cover, pictures are much clearer without it!

Same problem here but I'm afraid the camera lens won't take the dirt and dust which it is exposed to even when using and transporting the phone very carefully. Thus I did not remove the cover yet, although the photos do look somewhat hazy.
Has anyone found a replacement lens cover for the DoubleShot? The only one's I could find online are attached to the rear housing (which makes sense), but I don't want to lose the serial/imei sticker on the back. My wife scratched up the lens cover enough to bother me.
If worst comes to worst, you can move the sticker.
I've replaced the entire body of a MT3GS and I managed to pull the manufacturer's stick off without too much trouble. Heat it with a hairdryer for a few mins to soften the glue and it should pull off easily. Then depending on the residual stickiness, you can simply transfer it over or add a little additional glue.
Hi
I replaced the broken screen on my Nexus 5, but now there is a small hole on the front of the screen where the front facing camera is. Water could easily get into it and cause some damage. I must've missed a part when putting it back together.
What can I do to plug this hole while still being able to use the camera? What specific part do I need?
Thanks, Chris
Tried ifixit.com?
was it an original screen?
A screen protector would probably cover it.

"A screen protector would probably cover it." Yes, but at some point I'm probably going to sell the phone.
Is the cover over the camera part of the screen or part of the camera or innards of the phone?
Hello,
Unfortunately my front glass broke. Touch display and everything still works.
That's why I didn't want to replace the entire digitizer, just the glass.
Has anyone of you ever done this? It would be important to know whether the entire display is covered with adhesive or only part of it.
The glass that you can only get in China comes with 2 strips. I had already dismantled a number of smartphones, but if the entire Gals is glued over the entire surface, I am missing the equipment
Thanks in advance
I've cracked the glass panel that covers the camera lenses on my ROG 5 by accident. I want to avoid replacing the entire back cover if possible, Has anyone seen the glass piece for sale anywhere? I haven't had luck finding it anywhere...

I went through this and had to change the entire lid friend. Now I have a cover for sale... The only piece I found was practically the same value as the complete cover, as we have to remove it to exchange it decide to change the whole thing... You can do it yourself, I used a hair dryer to soften the cover. glue I loosened the cover with a credit card (be careful with the flat lighting cable) and used the same glue for the other one. (I just put the new one on and the original glue was enough.
Wanted to avoid replacing the entire back but it might be the only option. The leans cover would be much easier to replace if it was easily available but I can't find one. Thanks.
