I'm paying with Samsung finance. I brought from Samsung a T-Mobile phone. I'm currently with JOD, but I want to save my jump for the Note 8.

I see that in my account now, but honestly I think that is for people who don't have an account with T-Mobile. And after a month they don't activate the phone with the provider they choose on Samsung.com.
I never have a problem with that before, and I brought from them directly, Note 7, Note 5, Note 4 and Note edge.

I understand I use both T-Mobile and ATT now I just don't like that fee only showing up after I placed the order. I'm thinking I should switch the T-Mobile out with the AT&T phone.

Gotcha. Looked at the screen cap. I always pay in full for my phones. I don't do that monthly payment BS. If I can't afford to pay it in full then I don't need to be buying a new toy.

This was the first time I've ever financed a phone. I wouldn't have if that $100 fee was listed before I signed up.

I wonder if by activation they (Samsung) mean to boot the device up with an active sim card per whatever carrier...

Waiting 5 days now for an answer

I ordered from Samsung.com last week and according to my mom the Visa card has not been charged for it yet (paid in full) does this mean I might not be in front of the line to get the s8 plus even though I pre ordered early?

I ordered and am on AT&T but not much has changed and I ordered it on the 3rd.

A new cancel button popped up online so thats a good sign.

I wouldn't stress about it. Normally, credit cards aren't charged until the device has shipped or is right about to ship.

[Q] Bought S3 from Amazon. Do I have to use their sim card?

I am expecting my S3 to arrive from Amazon today. Are there any advantages/disadvantages to using the sim card they send with it opposed to getting one from the Verizon store?
I guess what I am asking is if there are any strings attached or anything like that if I use the sim card amazon provides?
Thanks!

It is a standard Verizon sim. Contract is still Verizon. Amazon just the retailer. Same as if you went to Best Buy, Radio Shack or the Verizon store.

Ok, thank you! Wasn't sure if it would have any sort of extra strings attached or anything!
This has nothing to do with the sim but just be aware if the phone was discounted and you dont complete the 2yr agrement with verizon, amazon will charge you up to $250 for early cancellation. They try and get their money back they ate giving the discount. My friend got hit with that crap which is sort of dumb but does make sense.

Just ordered Note 5. Question.

I just ordered the Note 5 taking advantage of the $100 discount. I currently have a Note 3 and was wondering if I could get any money or credit for it by trading it in to Verizon. I also heard some people got credit or something from Samsung after buying the Note 5. I just can't find the thread anymore. Anybody know of any credit I can get with my Note 3 from Verizon or Samsung? Thanks.

I know VZW had a promo going a couple of months ago where you were guaranteed trade-in credit for the Note5--but that's ended for some time now. You should be able to look up the trade-in value for your phone on the VZW site before going in-store.

I upgraded and bought my note 5 the same way 2 weeks ago. Online with promo code to get $100 off the phone. Before i did, i went to nearby verizon store and said i could get $300 credit if I were to trade in my note 3. But they said up to, if in above good or mint condition, depending on condition of your phone and manager descrition. Hope you enjoy your note 5

You did not say where you ordered your phone. It seems like the offers are always changing. I was able to get the best deal through Best Buy back in December. I got Best Buy $100 discount as well as $ off by financing through the Verizon plan of the day. I was planning to buy it out right. But it worked out to be cheaper to add it to there program. I had unlimited and they weren't about to let me keep that anymore.

Tmobile galaxy S7/edge BOGO REBATE ONLY, NOT VR/NETFLIX REBATE

I am starting this new thread for the 699/799 rebate only, since most of us have already gotten the VR or the 100 gift card. Please post your VR status in the other thread, and NOT here. This is only for the 699/799 prepaid card rebate.
My prepaid card rebate was submitted on 3/11, as today 4/24 is still sitting at "received" status. I spoke with the rep over the phone, they seemed to have no clue when this will be done. it's reaching the end of 8 weeks process time they proposed.
I am just curious if anyone actually received the prepaid card or has the status other than "received" Thanks!
Still on received.
May 13th will be week 8 for me. Still on received as well. Still have 3 more weeks. I'll be concerned after may 13th.
Be patient grasshopper!

For the 1st S7E we already had gotten it about 4-5 days before all we had to py was $60 (owner of the account has really good credit)
They told us in order to qualify we had to open a new line (we already had 4, but its 3 of us one wasnt being used) and close the one we weren't using, so we opened a new one and had to pay the $119 for it, we did the way the rep assured us we would qualify

I agree. When doing my replacement swap, they checked my account to ensure that I bought it from them.
Yeah I got my original note 7 off Craigslist right after the first recall. All sprint stores denied me exchange for a revised note 7 so I had to call sprint telesales to order me a replacement which I received last week.
As I figured, Sprint didn't allow me to exchange cause I wasn't the original buyer, no proof of purchase. Even though the phone is free and cleared from any accounts.
Had to contact Samsung and explained the whole situation. They will contact me know 5-7 business days for a resolution.

This is what I don't understand. Take the Takata (sp) airbag recall. Does it matter where you bought the car? No. The airbag could harm you, it needs to be replaced.
I would get irate with them on how they are endangering you and your property while they are deciding what to do. That is unacceptable in my opinion.
Good luck!
If what is being said is true, that the carriers are the ones forcing the termination of the Note 7, sprint should be doing everything they can to get all units off the streets so to speak. Regardless of where it is purchased.

Got my $200 AT&T trade in credit

Hello everybody. Want to share my experience for anybody that pre-ordered their v20 through AT&T and was planning on getting their $200 trade in credit. Just got back from AT&T store and process was pretty simple. I took in a old iphone they checked it out, asked for my v20 imei, then they gave me an instant $200 credit in my bill. They also said I could've used the credit instantly to buy accessories at the store, or wait to get some type of card that I could use later.

You don't have to go in store, but I believe its easier and quicker. You don't need an email to go get credit in store. Just tell them you pre-ordered and are there for the credit. I couldn't find a cheap prepaid phone to turn in. The cheapest I found was a AT&T iphone 4 on eBay for $50, that AT&T valued at $5 trade in credit.

what's a good phone (worth $5 trade in) to buy and use? prefer to pick up some sort of prepaid device, rather than try to meet up with a seller on Craigslist. thanks

Galaxy s3 is worth $10. I'll be trading that instead of my note 3.
