My Mi4i shutdown for no reason and i am not able to turn it on again unless i connect it to the charger, but the battery is not empty
If i dont touch my phone it stays on for days without shutingdown, after a while i am working with it, goes down.
But if i keep it connected to my computer, as i use it for development, it works all day, without a problem!
Probably is the battery that is not working, but still this is a weird behavior...
Try to install a MIUI firmware via fastboot, might work out.
Did you find a solution?
Any luck fixing this?

I changed the battery some days ago and it's working fine.
The autonomy is not the best, but it was a cheap battery...

Try charging a battery externally and then put it!
Thanks for the answer. I can charge the battery using my second Polaris, but it is a pain to change it all the times. Was this what you meant?l

Hi,
Sorry for my language, I'm french. I'll try to explain you my problem.
Sorry one more time if I'm not in the good place to post here.
My SGS 2 switch off himself (itself?) after few seconds of using (all king of using : when looking photos, calls, apk, SMS etc.).
I don't have this issue when the phone is charging.
Just 1 second before the phone swtch off itself there is a trouble on the screen like when you call someone and put the phone near the TV set !
Thanks for all
Jeremy
Hi,
I recommend resetting your phone. Just backup your data, that should help and if it persists you might have a larger problem.
Hope it helps
Thank you for helpin.
But already done :/
Maybe my battery causes these troubles ?
The phone switch of just when I use it a little bit when it's on battery, not on charge.
I feel the battery is the problem, I feel it's a little bit swollen.
Private messages for pictures because I haven't post 10 times yet...

Try replacing the battery may be defective, are you running any custom rom or kernel?

Yes I'm waiting for the mailman.
Custom ROM, custom KERNEL from few months, but I have this problem for +/- 10 days.
To specify, my phone doesn't switch off when I call... It did that in call just one time.
What could make these issues ?

Good , if your new battery doesn't solve the problem , I suggest you install a different kernel as it may be the problem

Many things but most likely a bad battery. I had similar shutdown issues on my SE Xperia X10. I bought a new battery and everything works fine now.
I have received my battery ! PolarCell from Germany.
1800 mAh !
I have no problems now !!!
Hey guys. I got some battery problems. Although my battery lasted 2 days I'm not happy with it.
I have no idea about deep sleep but I think my phone doesn't. I lost 10%!!! over night in airplane mode.
First of all I'm not using any gapps at all.
Im on cm12.1 15th nightly but earlier versions resulted in the same.
Then I have mobile data disabled 90% of the day, I usually use some wifi over the day. And some Bluetooth when I'm in the car.
I made some screenshots, maybe someone can tell me something about my battery problem. Thanks!
You can try this fix

Yeah. But the battery drain is caused by the OTA update checker !
That fix worked for me.
Give it a try if nothing else works.
Right after I installed marshmallow I wanted to test the battery leak so I left my phone away with just wifi on to see a drop from 67% to 46%!! I made this thread to ask if there's anyone with the same problem and if so guide me to some sort of fix for this

android os is always another app which keeps your phone awake, so you could try uninstalling apps until the drain stops
Yepp I have it too. Sprint Galaxy S6 6.0.1... Android OS stay awake= 1hr 15min and using 20% of my battery!
Using MM 3.0 Rc1 XtreStoLite rom. Works awesome with hacker kernel 13.2. ???
For those having battery drain while wifi on.. I suggest-
Wifi Settings>more>keep wifi on during sleep>only while charging/never...
Hope this fixes the problem..

in the past wakelock detector was pretty good for this but you need root nowadays, there is a windows version which doesn't require root but isn't as good as the android app. I don't even know if it works on MM

Surely it works, but it shouldn't be an appropiate solution for those as me have this problem. Before MM none had to change this setting to avoid this issue.
I noted after first days from MM XEF and PHE firm the battery consumption was very good, but after some days (or maybe any app setting change) this issue appeared.

I suspect this issue depends on the connected wifi net. I need some more days to check, but I can see as battery consuption graph slope is greater on the period I am on my wifi work than on the hotel wifi where I am standing these days... has anyone experimented this?

There's no such problem with SER firmware.
Greenify with the 'extreme doze' feature works great. No battery drain whatsoever on PHN, unrooted.

Hi dear.
No, it's normal!
It only turns off when it's under pressure and a few apps run at a time.
For example, when I turned on phone data and I want to take a photo by camera or video, It suddenly turns off.
Or for example after calling, it turns off!
Please help me!:crying::crying:
