Battery problems (maybe deep sleep) - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys. I got some battery problems. Although my battery lasted 2 days I'm not happy with it.
I have no idea about deep sleep but I think my phone doesn't. I lost 10%!!! over night in airplane mode.
First of all I'm not using any gapps at all.
Im on cm12.1 15th nightly but earlier versions resulted in the same.
Then I have mobile data disabled 90% of the day, I usually use some wifi over the day. And some Bluetooth when I'm in the car.
I made some screenshots, maybe someone can tell me something about my battery problem. Thanks!

You can try this fix

I've done this today only. Will let you know if it works.

Yeah. But the battery drain is caused by the OTA update checker !
That fix worked for me.
Give it a try if nothing else works.

Did they ever fix JD for the Charge?

I remember a few months ago we heard the Juice Defender team say that they were going to add support for the Charge but I haven't heard anything about it since. Is our device supported yet? I can't seem to find a definitive answer on Google or the XDA search engine.
I'm only curious because I've been hearing people on XDA/Rootz say that they were using JD which leads me to believe it's working.

It doesn't cut out your data or anything? No issues with getting certain settings that toggle data to work?

I set on aggressive and everthing is working fine. I used facebook a lot and no connectivity issue or any others. You can download the free version and try out.

Tested it out and JD seems to be working. Awesome!
i personally use balanced mode so it doesnt interfere too much with the system process
The issue was a bug with the implementation of Froyo on the phone, not with JD. Gingerbread fixed the issue (and did so from the very first leaks).
when i was using it, it mainly worked, but i ended up uninstalling it because a lot of the time my data wouldnt come back and id have to toggle data and that became a real annoyance.

That was a Froyo issue. It's never been a problem in GB.

Perhaps you should go into your accounts and stop many of the the Google services from syncing. I only have Calendar, Contacts and Gmail on. That might help with battery life.

Make sure you read the last post, it streamlines the process, I just haven't had time to update the OP.

Why would they do that? The whole point of having a smartphone is having instantaneous access to your info and using these features. This is a known bug affecting many. Supposedly oneplus one will fix this with the next ota update.

Things running constantly so that you can have instantaneous and continuous access will drain battery-operated electronics. That's nothing unique with OPO, other smartphones, or any other electronic device which runs on a battery.

Yes it will drain your battery, but not excessively like the google services bug present in cm11s. Most people don't buy a smartphone to have everything turned off on it. My g3 has all the same things constantly active and battery is a beast on it.

That is a great suggestion for a temporary battery life improvement but hopefully the update coming from oneplus will resolve it permanently. I hope it does, I really like this phone but will switch over to the g3 permanently if it doesn't get fixed.
this did the trick on mine. I made this video for couple friends
just stop all the services and do immediate reboot
should be fine after

Once you reboot, the process starts again, so they are running again. Por thats TVE way it should be?.

Android P, System and Android SO drain battery?

88% of battery with almost no use, I've been facing this problem since last update, not sure if it was present in previous Dev.
I tried turning Ok Google off, GPS off (completely), WiFi scanning and other stuff too but the problem persist as you can see in the screenshot.
System, Android SO and Play Services are always on the top; yesterday I got almost 3 hours of SOT and those services was the top 3 battery drainers, even more than the SOT that I was expecting stay at top.
Is this normal?
I know that I'm on a beta build but some people here get way better SOT.

Hey everyone,¨
Just noticed update version 1.8.5 is out for the international version (Honkong, Taiwan, Russia, India version).
Not too big of an update, but lets share personal findings/ improvements here.

Cheers. Just reinstalled and can confirm it works now.
It feels like but not confirmed yet:
Accessibility setting are sticking. I used the jovi button which i have assigned to back action immediately after the update reboot. It worked, and is still working after 7 hours. Will report later.

Failed. Had to update accessibility settings after 13 hours.
Seems like battery monitoring apps(such as Accubattery) are now not able to read battery stats from phone after update. It shows attached error. Worked fine before.
Thanks for nothing, vivo.

Why you wana calibrate unnecessarily and that too even without root ? U want to calibrate battery, do it non-root method way
Method 1
Discharge your phone fully until it turns itself off.
Turn it on again and let it turn itself off.
Plug your phone into a charger and, without turning it on, let it charge until the on-screen or LED indicator says 100 percent.
Unplug your charger.
Turn your phone on. It's likely that the battery indicator won't say 100 percent, so plug the charger back in (leave your phone on) and continue charging until it says 100 percent on-screen as well.
Unplug your phone and restart it. If it doesn't say 100 percent, plug the charger back in until it says 100 percent on screen.
Repeat this cycle until it says 100 percent (or as close as you think it's going to get) when you start it up without it being plugged in.
Now, let your battery discharge all the way down to 0 percent and let your phone turn off again.
Fully charge the battery one more time without interruption and you should have reset the Android system's battery percentage.

This is kinda great idea. Anybody just post a screenshot of changelog as soon as the Update of Vivo Nex comes so that some people who passes by who are suspicious or reluctant about Vivo software updates can see the proof . How about it ? Just post under a single thread to avoid overflooding with multiple threads

I do not want to calibrate my battery. This is what the AccuBattery terms for reading the battery consumption. Read the entire message and the screenshot message.
May I know how to revert back to previous version? The battery drain is so bad at this firmware. And how to download the previous version?
Same here quite the drain after the new update. Still bearable but way better before...

What are these wakelocks?

I am experiencing some screen off battery drain issues and these are my results from BetterBatteryStats. I have been told that the PowerManager wakelocks are just the sum of the partial wakelocks. But the times are absolutely off so I don't think it's true for my case.
Thanks for any help.

Alright, thank you, will do. I managed to fix all my battery drain issues yesterday, so I'm currently writing an extensive guide on what I did to fix everything with my OnePlus 6 so no more people will have to struggle. lol.
