Hey guys, how can i check which Honor 8 FDR i have?? I want to roll back to android 6 if i cant succeed rooting android 7 https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/development/firmware-huawei-honor-8-stock-firmware-t3470454 which rom is for my phone and what android version they are?
I can only see that is the model it says nxt-l29 its a Europe model i guess since it has multi-language support.
Every time i boot into the TWRP i can't see anything on the storage so i cannot install SuperSu, i have tried several recoveries like from this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/how-to/guide-unlock-bootloader-tested-root-t3443946
And this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/development/twrp-t3566563
After the manufacturer update to 6.0 I can't root my device.
Kingo root etc don't work.
I can't flash recovery either, I can't find any working drivers.
Hello,
I can't find a functional root instruction for the device Nomu S30 mini with Android 7 and a MTK 6737T in the whole web until now.
The best way would be for me to flash the bootloader and install TWRP and root it over SuperSu.
But where I can get the right scatter.file for the flash tool? I think, I need some files especially for the S30 mini?
Hi!
Here is firmware for nomu s30 mini. There is scatter file:
drive.google.com/file/d/0B1h2hVZanhgjaUdvSHVZLVZiaFE/view
Can you make custom recovery?
Thanks for this official firmware.
But I think for installing TWRP and using it, I need the customized/modified image of this firmware incl. a customized/modified revocery.img. This I need for boot later the TWRP.
So have anyone any tipp for a customized/modified revocery.img. build for the S30 mini?
Any news?
The 'Nomu S30 mini' is still not in the device list of TRWP and Kingroot does still not offer root permissions. - after 3 month of the release!
:crying:
Without root this brand new phone is not usable and not sensfull for me. If I see no solution in the next month, I will throw it in the garbage bin...

Hi Folk!!
I built TWRP recovery for NOMU S30 Mini.
With this recovery I successfully installed SuperSU 2.82 and got root.

Thanks for your work. But on my S30 mini it didn't work. Better: It crashed the phone. It was not able anymore, to boot normal or to boot in the recovery mode again. So I throwed it into the garbage. Also I don't have time to wait nearly one year to have a root solution. So I will buy antother phone with prevoius root accessability.
I have Honor 8 L19. I was using Emui 4.0, rooted. I decided to update to newest version of EMUI and android. I flashed recovery to stock recovery, installet all updates. I try to flash TWRP recovery using Multi-Tool (v8 and v7 version) but i receive error. Flash TWRP did not finish. I still have stock recovery. Of course I have bootloader unlocked, I have enabled debuging USB, I have enabled ADB debuging during charging.
Maybe it is better to try with older version of TWRP? I tried only with 3.1.1.1 version.
Yo Sup Again, The TWRP In Their Website Only Works For Android 6.0

I tried to root my Huawei mate 9 today but when I try to install supersu from twrp the device reboots when the (creating image) message pops up I have no idea what to do, should I try to force it in with fastboot? my Huawei is an L09 Vodafone version with android 7 and emui 5.0.1 I tried the SuperSU-v2.82-EMUI5-SELEnforcing.zip version and it didn't work, it just rebooted while doing the creating image message, I also tried the phh's superuser method but that directly didn't install it just straight out give me an error also one click root does not work, tried king root, nothing, right now i'm rethinking the idea of downgrading it to Android 6 (or Android 5 if possible) or maybe I should try to wipe the firmware and install a non vodafone one
