im using international rom, and flashing chinese rom...
so i think its possible for you too...
as long as you made your backup using twrp or cwm youll be fine....please made a backup first
method used
flash directly from local update
if fail, you must root your phone before you can flash
flash boot.img, recovery.img, system.img , cust.img using fastboot
you should be ok after flashing this
if bricked or cannot boot, reinstall your cwm or twrp, and install your backup
I have the same situation. I made some trials and here are the results;
I was on Chinese version B250. I udated manually to Chinese version B260 and this was successful.
I unlocked my bootloader successfully.
All trials to flash the International version B324 with Lollipop and (EMUI 3.1) have failed. I even tried with a relocked bootloader but still the same. No root or custom recovery; all stock.
Of note that I could successfully flash the International version B142 which is a Kitkat and (EMUI 3.0) but could never update to the succeeding update OTA although it is being downloaded successfully by the Huawei updater.
All flashing was through virusplus Multi-tool
These are my observations. If anyone has a better input regarding fully flashing a Chinese PE-TL10 with an International firmware with working OTA updates later on then please share it.
Thank you

NO Root

Hey there,
I installed the news Nougat update through Huawei. Phone was never unlocked.
NXT-L29C432B560
Since I wanted to try the new Google assistent, I follow this tutorial
[TOOL] SRK Tool Huawei Bootloader/ROOT/Recovery/Backup/Utility (STABLE - 20161002)
Unlocking the bootloader worked fine.
When I came to the point to install the TWRP, I installed a different TWRP "[Unofficial] TWRP 3.0.3-0 Mate 8", since the SRK Tool only had EMUI 4.0 and 4.1 TWRP versions ready.
First question: Was that correct to do? I tried the one for EMUI 4.1 and 3.0.2-0 as well. But they were not able to boot.
Also rooting does not work as I get the error from TWRP "could not mount \data...."
What am I doing wrong?

I am on L09C432B560. I used twrp from
http://sillanwali.com/downloads/twrp-3.0.3.img
I got into twrp, mount system and vendor. Then I flashed patched boot from:
https://mega.nz/#!Yx4h3LwL!XNdOjpo-J...j6opIqSemyqI80
I now have full root. Remember, this might not work with your phone. You should be prepared to reflash the stock boot.img of your rom if it does not work. The kernel version of this patched boot is Dec 28 16. If the date of your current kernel is after this date, you might still have root but not all functions of the phone works.
The above link does not work. Try the link in post #3572

[Need Help] I need to install Oreo (EMUI 8.0) Stock ROM in Mate 9 using TWRP 3.2.1-0

Hi folks. Sorry if this topic has been covered before. I really tried to find threads with a solution but I wasn't able to get specific answers. Kindly help me out.
This is the current status of my Huawei Mate 9 - MHA-l29
My Huawei Mate 9, MHA- L29 is working okay, aside from a few bugs I noticed after upgrading to Oreo (EMUI 8.0) using TWRP last year (a previous version)
I am running Android 8.0 Oreo. The version reads System 8.0.0.42(00YC) when I check in the "About Phone Section". When I check this version using HiSuite, it tells me that is the official one.
I have unlocked the bootloader FRP...basically everything is unlocked.
I have installed TWRP version 3.2.1-0
I suspect I may have accidentally wiped out the recovery for my device, so if I tried to do a factory reset, it may not work. That is why I wanted to just do a fresh installation of STOCK ROM for Oreo.
Now this is what I need help to do.
I wanted to do a fresh installation of the stock ROM for Oreo (8.0) for my Mate 9 device. I figure stock ROM will be more stable and it will be the official one anyway.
The reason I want to do a fresh install is because I noticed the current version has a few bugs that kept recurring whenever I did a factory reset (issues with themes, calendar, etc).
I wanted to know if I can use TWRP 3.2.1 (currently installed) to do an installation of Oreo stock ROM for my mate 9 using maybe the SD Card. I saw somewhere that I can simply copy the files to the SD card and then use TWRP 3.2.1-0 to do an installation.
If the above is possible, what do I need to do?
If it is not possible to use TWRP 3.2.1, what can I do instead so that I install a new stock ROM without bricking the phone? Please assist.
Thank you in advance for your time and help.

Stuck at 4.4.2?

Hi guys. I got this phone yesterday and wanted to unlock the bootloader, flash to a stable lifghtweight image etc. First "WTF" came out of my mouth when I found out, that exactly a week ago - Huawei ended support for unlocking the bootloader. SO I paid 4EUR to DC Unlocker and it was done in a minute..
Anyway. After this the whole nightmare started. I tried several different images to flash it. Via fastboot, viac TWRP 2.8., via "push-all-3-buttons". Everything seemed to almost bricked the phone. None of the standard flashing procedures was able to start the phone into the OS. It has always somehow stuck at the boot Huawei screen. So maybe at 2:00am I downloaded a B127 stock FW (android 4.4.2 EMUI 3.0), copied the UPDATE.APP to a /dload of a SDcard and by using the "push-all-3-buttons" I was finaly able to get into EMUI recovery, upgrade the OS and start the phone into Android.
It was unfortunately version4.4.2, so of course I wanted to upgrade via OTA to either 5.1.1 or 6.0, but the installer said, that I am using the most recent version. Sorry, what? The Huawei Windows APP said the same. The only real progress I was able to make was to download a 2018 image from Huawei support page, which by using the push-3-buttons procedure "upgraded" the phone to 4.4.2 . In other words, it did nothing.
I have tried to use several let's say stock images from this page https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-7/general/huawei-mt7-l09-l10-stock-firmware-ota-t3275784 , but neither via fastboot nor via SDcard procedures were successful.
So is my Ascend Mate 7 really stuck on old Android without a chance to upgrade??
Huawei MT7-L09
Android 4.4.2
EMUI 3.0
Kernel 3.10.30-00234-g62b075b-dirty
Build MT7-L09V100R001C00B127
Custom Version CUSTC432D127
Have you tried extracting the .img-file from the UPDATE.APP which you downloaded with Huawei Update Extractor?
This image should be flashable via fastboot. Be careful to use only those full firmwares.

Help for getting back to stock emui/region version or to installa a proper cRom

Hello,
I was running PixysOs on my Honor 6x till today but I decided to try to get back to stock rom mainly because with PixysOs Bt is not working properly and because system was not using the SD card so I was always running out of space.
In order to install PixysOs I rebranded the phone from BLN-L21 to BLN-AL20 in order to get stock Emui 8 version and flash PixysOs over.
I did a lot of tries with TWRP and MultiTool following different tutorial and at last I managed to boot into eRecovery which download and installed latest stock image for BLN-AL20C00 so actually the system has booted in a kind of Emui splash screen showing different options I can't understand as they are only in chinese.
Maybe we can start from scratch and someone can address me on how to get back to stock rom or how do install a stable custom rom?
Try dload the same stock firmware and see if you could manage to boot.
i was just writing an update.
I manage to boot the system and I can see that actually I am on Emui 8.0.0, model number is BLN-AL20 mobile network is not working as I am on China/Indian version (I think).
As far as I know I should now have the prerequisites to install a Pie Crom, any suggestion for a custom rom with working BT and SD Card?
Or do you think is better to get back to stock Emui going through rebranding?
As for rebranding I've seen that latest MultiTool no longer supports rebranding functions...
thanks,
Andrea.
Any hope to get an answer?
I would suggest to get back to full stock with everything functional. Once you fix, you can then switch to elemental rom. Haven't tried any custom ROM though on emui 8.
With full stock you mean Emui8 which will be in chinese and with no SIM support as I am on BLN-AL20 or do you mean to rebrand to BLN-L21 and to flash stock rom on it?
Actually I flashed original Emui8 and I have no SIM support.
If I have to rebrand how can I do it as MultiTool no longer supports rebranding?
I know it's an old device but is sad to have it dead on my desktop.
