How is the edges on your Honor 8? - Honor 8 Questions & Answers

I discovered my Honor's bottom edge feels off. Like the nvidia shield. It kinda cuts my hand. Anyone else have this on the bottom or do you have an all around smooth edge on the front?

Mines smooth and flawless.

[Q] Nexus 5 not flat? It wobbles like a ship on the sea

When I place my Nexus 5 on a flat surface, e.g. a desk, the top left and bottom right corners wobble back and forth. This is especially annoying if I am typing as the phone will move slightly and tap the desk.
I also use a Spigen Ultra Hybrid bumper. when the Nexus 5 is fitted with it, the wobbles are not so strong.
Does anyone else have this?

Sorry, I didn't miss that, but I'm a little bit confused, when I want to type a text, when the phone lays on a flat surface, and I need one hand to fix the Nexus 5.
Maybe I'm the only person in the world who doesn't like that.
You can obviously see the Nexus 5 back is far from flat, maybe you need to buy an iPhone if you require a flat phone lol ..

most people would hold the phone in the other hand. anyways. we are all different people, with differing ways to do things.. try plaving the phone on a piece of cloth.

While it is evident that the phone will wobble while lying face up on a flat surface due to the camera, this should not be the case with this bumper case on.
I have this same bumper case, and one day I noticed that the phone was wobbling like that on a flat surface, and I was like, what the hell?? I took the phone out of the case and put it face down on the same flat surface, and verified that the phone would still wobble... A LOT!
Yes, this cell phone bends easily!!!
I gently bent the phone the opposite way and got to eliminate the wobbling issue. But the issue reappears after carrying the phone in my jeans pocket as it is exposed to some slight pressure while sitting, so I try to avoid carrying the phone in my pockets, and I check that my phone is not bent every day (again, it bends easily; I have to "fix" it almost every day).
It is a real downer to see that such a high-end cell phone was built with such crappy materials. Yeah, yeah, you get what you pay for and all those crappy excuses, as if I asked Google to sell their FLAGSHIP phone for such a low price.

Blah blah blah.
What's the catch? You make money by defending Google? Nobody's allowed to make a negative comment about a brand here? Your teeth will come off if you read them?
By the way, it is really good to see you did not make any comment about the issue itself.
Stay on Nexus 5 but get a case.

That's the interesting part, my friend: I don't know about the thread author, but I've kept my N5 in a Spigen Ultra Hybrid case since day one, and even so I noticed this bending issue.
I'm getting this Ringke Fusion tomorrow, so in the coming days I'll let you guys know if this one's better at keeping this issue from occurring.

Not flat in a flat case or when lying down on the screen.
Something's funky if your phone bends. I carry my N5 in my jeans pocket and I just placed it face down on the counter. It's lying perfectly flat. And I was watching for something like this, coming from an all-metal Samsung Captivate.

Could be possible that some units came out defective. I'll think of the RMA option.

Could be possible you sat on your phone and deformed it. I'll think of the user error option. Especially since almost no one else has this gripe about the phone. And the N5 is the most griped about phone I've ever seen.

Sorry to say, but you're dead wrong. I take extreme good care of my phones, and this one is no exception.
An argumentum ad populum makes no case.
Can you post a picture of your bent phone? I'd like to see how the glass/casing is misshapen. Seems like such an unorthodox problem, first I've heard of it.

Bezel on gear s2 sport loose?

When I tap on the top of the bezel on my sport, it makes a little click noise like it has space beneath the bezel. It might be normal, but I don't know. The function is great and it spins smoothly. Since its new, I want to make sure it's performing perfectly!

Mine as well!?! Has anyone figured out if this is a normal thing? Or should I replace?
Seems to be normal to me. I returned my first one because i found a better deal. Guess what, the second one does the exact same thing.
Well at least I'm not alone with this one. Guess it's just part of the watch...
How is the bezel holding up so far? I just noticed that mine (gear s2 classic) is looser than it was when I got it. It makes a slight clicking sound when I tap the top. Wondering if I should exchange while I can..

Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
Yeah, I assume warranty should cover it, if it breaks. I've read some reviews on amazon to get a better perspective on durability of the ring. Only person had it break cause they bumped against something. This coupled with no reports on here about it being broken I guess it is normal behavior.
Any news on the loose bezel? Normal or not normal? Just got mine, sport version, with loose bezel but still working just fine.

Whatever you do, don't force it. It will rupture some gasket underneath. Happened to my friend. Now it works just fine but the bezel is very loose and lost its clickiness. Also you can hear like steel grinding on steel when you turn it. Seems that if you spray a drop o silicone based oil (airsoft guns type not petroleum based) around the inner side of the bezzel it runs smooth as butter, very smooth and clicky. Did it to mine when got some grit or something underneath and still rockin after 4 months.

Great case and Screen Protector for ZE570KL

I figured those of you who haven't decided yet, you may want some accessory recommendations.
Here is my case. It is perfect for this phone. Ignore the 1 bad review, they didn't even have this phone.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IUS5GS4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Here is my screen protector. It is a 2 pack of 9H tempered glass for $8. There is about 1mm of exposed glass on each edge after installation, but my case covers those edges perfectly. The cutouts line up perfectly and has a Hydrophobic and Oleophobic screen coating. The screen is super smooth to the touch and installs easily without a single bubble.

Those are the only accessories I've bought so far, maybe period as I can't think of anything else I could need. I have the 256GB so I won't need a MicroSD. Let me know if you have anything that may be better. I hope you are enjoying your ZenFone 3 Deluxe as much as I am.

Let me know how u like it. I love mine
I ordered the silver variant of that case last week. Suprised at how well the back stays on there with as little room it has to snap on there. Got a second one coming in for my Special Edition (own the 820 and 821 model).
Anyways, it's a great case. Just wish Spigen will come out with a slimline model of their cases for the phones. Had theirs with the kickstand for my note 4 and it was about as slim as this one and worked well for the 2 years I had the phone lol

So far it's pretty nice. However, I will say the back is slightly slippery. It has better grip than the phone itself, but not much better.
Other than that, a pretty decent slim case

I suppose the buttons are open to subjective opinion. I think they are perfect as they stick out so they are easy to find. They take a little force which I like so they don't accidentally press but still easy enough to press without adjusting your grip on the phone. It only adds a tiny bit of stiffness to the buttons, but I could see how some would press effortless button presses. I am on the opposite side of that spectrum though
Perhaps its just a matter of me geting used to it. One thing is certain it made me easier to get finger print read correctly.. With out the cover i used to get loads of misreads and with it its all fine... Quite happy with the purchase.
Sent from my ASUS_Z016D using XDA-Developers mobile app
Yeah it forces you to hold your finger vertically. That is the one thing I don't like as I wish they would've made the sides of the fingerprint edging just as slanted as the bottom.
If you are having issues with the fingerprint sensor, when you train your finger, be sure to train it a bunch of different ways. Change up the position with each press. Heck, I presume you could even train your main finger twice as two different fingers. We only get to train 5 fingers though.

Exterior finish

Hey guys,
Just wanted to get your opinion on something. I've used my U11 for some time now and overall I'm very happy with it. There's been one thing that has been been bugging me though. On the back when you feel the edges, one edge is very nice and smooth while the other side has a sharp edge running from top to bottom. You can really feel this when using the device. No other phone I've ever had has had such a rough edge. I got in touch with the store I bought it from and they told me I can send it back so they can have a look. I'm wondering if this is an anomaly or more U11's have this.
Thanks
Nope, my U11 is smooth on both sides, too smooth. Maybe your phone slipped past quality control.. I would compare it physically against another U11 by taking a trip back to the store.
My U11 is so slippery smooth that I've had to abandon the case that comes with it for something more sturdy for the fear of it coming alive like pinnoccio and running off down the pavement..

It's an issue with the rear panel not being glued in evenly and has been observed on quite a few units. PhoneArena even mentioned it in their review:
"For instance, on the two U11 handsets we examined during this review, each had one edge where the phone's back glass met the metal frame and there was a pronounced sharpness to the transition – while the other side was perfectly smooth. But with each phone we looked at, this sharp edge was on a different side – just not very consistent."

Oh sorry. Yes I got it. Took less then 10 min to install no issue. Touch response is perfect. No change. Finger scanner works as is. I tried taking a few pics but the camera I was using isn't very good. Screen is nice and thin. Don't even notice it's there. It's expensive but I think the best option. Plus this was the only screen protector I could get delivered within a few days.
Can someone give a review for this dome with video.. Im sure we all want to know more about it.
I had a thin glass protector as a gift when I bought mine
Works fine with the fingerprint reader but it has a black line contour which lies a little bit over the screen border. As a result I can't see the three lines for the buttons at the bottom and the top right notification is half hidden
imma buy it if they have discount
