Bezel on gear s2 sport loose? - Samsung Gear S2

When I tap on the top of the bezel on my sport, it makes a little click noise like it has space beneath the bezel. It might be normal, but I don't know. The function is great and it spins smoothly. Since its new, I want to make sure it's performing perfectly!

Mine as well!?! Has anyone figured out if this is a normal thing? Or should I replace?

Seems to be normal to me. I returned my first one because i found a better deal. Guess what, the second one does the exact same thing.

Well at least I'm not alone with this one. Guess it's just part of the watch...

How is the bezel holding up so far? I just noticed that mine (gear s2 classic) is looser than it was when I got it. It makes a slight clicking sound when I tap the top. Wondering if I should exchange while I can..

I feel like warranty should cover it you should have longer?
Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk

Yeah, I assume warranty should cover it, if it breaks. I've read some reviews on amazon to get a better perspective on durability of the ring. Only person had it break cause they bumped against something. This coupled with no reports on here about it being broken I guess it is normal behavior.

Any news on the loose bezel? Normal or not normal? Just got mine, sport version, with loose bezel but still working just fine.

My bezel is sticky as hell. Hard to turn it

Whatever you do, don't force it. It will rupture some gasket underneath. Happened to my friend. Now it works just fine but the bezel is very loose and lost its clickiness. Also you can hear like steel grinding on steel when you turn it. Seems that if you spray a drop o silicone based oil (airsoft guns type not petroleum based) around the inner side of the bezzel it runs smooth as butter, very smooth and clicky. Did it to mine when got some grit or something underneath and still rockin after 4 months.

htc one s screen light leak?

Hey folks!
Today I got myself a one s, ics is amazing and the phone is super fast. I gotta say I'm not hugely keen on the plastic cover for sim access. Feels flimsy everytime I power the phone, these gripes I can live with.
But I'm really quite frustrated by light leakibg from where the screen meets the alu case at the bottom. Is anyone else experiencing this? It's along the entire bottom and cornrs. Quite noticeable.
It's the grey version and I was happy to get a s4. Purchased yesterday from Three UK, I know they are particularly funny with returns.

Frustrating as it is I prob will learn to live with it, but I feel it spoils what could be brilliance otherwise.
I'm tempted to go look at the shop display model and ask some questions, as sad as that sounds.

The plastic covers are necessary or else you would never get reception...
The light leakage may be part of the device, but there is a chance that it could also be a defect. Go back to the shop and see if the display unit has the same issue.

dont have this issue in my one s S/N SH23XW
mayb its a particular product line defect.

He was referring to light leak along the underside of the glass at the bottom, not leaking light upwards from the capacitive buttons (which is indeed normal)
what' the cause of the light leakage?

Just got a leather flip case for the SIII at a T-mobile store. The nexus 4 fits perfectly inside. The volume buttons are not covered and the power button is half covered but still fully functional. The camera also works well with the case.

Oh yeah and what about the camera? Doesn't the S3 have its camera in the middle as opposed to on the side?

tried it out...it grabs onto the little space between the chrome bezel and housing. It some what fits but the camera gets a shadow from the case, which im pretty sure can be opened up with a little sanding. Not completely sold on it, but still not taking it out of consideration. Good find OP.

Aww... damn... I got the Poetic Slimbook pre-ordered for $5 and this looks a lot closer to what I wanted from a case. The lack of edge protection is worrisome, but that looks less bulky than the Slimbook. Hmm, should I buy a second case? It'll technically be my 3rd since Exact-Deal sent me an S-line TPU case in consolation for the delay on the Slimbook.
EDIT: I've decided against getting a second case. The hardback has the face flap open to the right, but I'd prefer it open to the left.

I would guess because most people hold their phones in their right hand, and would flip the cover open with their thumb. I'm checking this out first thing tomorrow.

The hardback case has a catch to help it stay closed. It'd be easier for left hand users to open the case via tightly gripping the phone with four fingers on the face, then popping the catch up with their thumb. The flap also has a bend in the middle for propping up the phone, but the bend also facilitates this action opening by the manner I described.
I'm a right-handed person but prefer using the phone with my left hand. Just feels more comfortable to me. This case would be better for me to open, but I prefer the right side to be open so that it's easier to access the power button at all times.
I'll buy if it's cheap enough as a temporary case until official n4 accessories come out.
Looks like a d3o case.

I think I would fill it with tissue paper before putting the phone in it.
Weight it down good and leave it under 1' of water for a few hours, then check the tissue to see if it's still dry or not.
Goods idea, here are some crappy pics of the case

What he said.
Well I did an overnight water test and it was successful with no water intrusion.
I have used the case for about a day so far.
My initial impressions are that it is much bigger than my previous case (slim armor view). The material is a hard plastic. The screen is glass and there are not perceivable distortions. Once snapped together it is hard to open again, which I guess you would want in a water tight case.
The touch screen is responsive with only a little difference in accessing the pull down menu. I haven't taken an actual call without Bluetooth, so I can't report on how it sounds to callers. I was able to hear my voicemail fine. I did leave myself a test message without a headset and the recorded sound was pretty muffled.
Biggest issue for me is the home button is really hard to press. I end up using my finger nail to get enough leverage. Maybe that will loosen over time.
Don't have qi charging, but am thinking about getting a receiver and seeing if it will work. It is not very convenient to use the USB cable
Not bad for 25; looks to have good protection for drops and ingress. Wouldn't pay more than I did shipped.

Nor Facebook or twitter.
I would like to give an update after using the case for over a week plus.
The touch screen has become more difficult to use over time. Especially when trying to enter text.
The door that covers the charging port seems to be getting looser over time: I am not sure how much I would trust this under water if it gets any looser.
The headphone port is so solid, I think it would actually break if I opened it.
about pepkoo casing
I've using my pepkoo casing around 2 weeks.
Everything's in good condition and I could hear any caller's voice very well.
Sadly, there's a problem when I tried to make for call out to friends.
It seemed they can't hear my voice clearly.
For some other reason, it has an echo sound of my own voice.
What's happening here?
May be because the type of waterproof casing?
Does anyone has any opinion on this issues?
Thanks so much.

I got the new model of this over the weekend. I got 2 and both had issues adhering to the lower right hand corner of my screen. Phone's screen was super clean and I even wore gloves to make sure I didn't get any oils on the screen. I left the one on for a day thinking it might lay down flat but never did. It started getting snagged when I put the phone in my pocket so I took it off. Tried the 2nd one and had the same thing happen. Not sure what the deal was but I opened up a warranty claim with IntelliArmor.

No worries. I think I will. From looking into it though it might be a manufacturing issue and the replacement might be warped as well.
Mine adhered OK in 3 of 4 corners. I think the 4th not adhering might have been my fault (when I lined it up to drop it onto the screen, it "air hockeyed" and slid a little bit out of place so I had to gently pry it back up.....the spot(s) I had to pry it back up are the spots that arent adhering as nicely)
I have to say I love the protector itself, just wish I had gotten it to land correctly the first time and wish it hadnt taken so long to get here. I mean, I ordered the iVolar one over the weekend, for $0.95 after coupon, and its scheduled to be delivered tomorrow or Wed.

Is there a protective plastic piece on the home screen button?

NO! There is not. Despite feeling a terrible edge and being sure there was a plastic protector on the home screen button right out of the box, I have now managed to scratch the coating off the home screen using my finger nail.
Not even 5 minutes out of the box and now I need to replace the phone.
Quality of feel has improved in every way over the s6 I have sitting next to my s7, except for the home button. What the hell, the rough edge led me to being so sure there was something on the button.
both my sprint s7 had one over the home key, finally took it off after 5 days, lol

I don't know. But watch out I damaged the ND filter on the back of my Moto X as I thought there was one. Ended up picking a bit of it off!
lol nice work OP.
You must have thought it was quite a resilient protective cover.
Its a funny world we live in if thats covered by warranty.
That being said, it does feel pretty bad. Not a nice design.
My gs7 had plastic on the home button. It wouldn't read my fingerprint

I thought it was very resilient, but sometimes the tiny ones are. The first time I tried to "grab" it it did peel the corner a tiny bit which again led me to think that it was for sure a cover.
Maybe I should add this was a TMO phone. Didn't think they would come protected differently based off carrier.
And yes, not a nice design compared to the s6 I have.

I am curious about this too. Is there a camera sensor protection? On the S6 there is a plastic protection over the heart rate/flashlight sensor.

I suggest not doing anything. What carrier do you have?
Mine read my fingerprint fine, just felt and looked like there was a protector. When I picked at it it curled the edge up a tiny bit leading me to believe even more that there was one.
