Since the time I have rooted and flashed custom rom, my charging has slowed down drastically. It takes around an hr to charge 10 percent of the battery so usually 8-10 hrs for full charge. Another problem I am facing is that I am not able to connect it to a computer anymore so I am not able to use it to restore to stock too. I have theorised the following problem options :
1) I am using twisted mate rom which I think is for Al10 and mine is L29
2) something is wrong with the hardware but as I didn't find anyone who can repair it so I have no way to know for sure
3) recovery is not compatible.
Has anyone else encountered such problem? Can anyone help me with a proper troubleshooting ?
The only problem is that I can't afford a new phone so I want to minimise the risk of losing this one too. ☺
I would really appreciate any help. Would also donate what I can if anyone can help me fixing this issue.

Sometimes it won't find any networks, and sometimes it'll just find one particular distant network briefly that I have no relation to. Often plugging it into the mains will solve the problem. USB power will not. Usually the problem occurs with a low or high charged battery and rarely in between. Manual connection does not help.
I know that there's not much to go on really, but I wondered if anyone who knew more about this stuff than I do could offer suggestions for a fix? The ROM is Xuantunt's 7.8 ROM v5.5. A newer version is out but I can't flash it as I'm away. The problem has been persistent on all releases that I've tried.
Thanks
I have successfully rooted my RePad 10 (RecPad 10) by Rectonics but all possible updates beyond 5.1.1 have caused bricking. I have bricked it and unbricked it over and over (tried even using RePad/iFive AIR firmware since they have the same specs), but I really want to upgrade it to 6.0.1 so I can use SD for internal storage. I also would like to have some of the other nicer features of.
It’s a quality tablet and excellent for being sub 150$ but android 5.1.1 is awful.
Any help?
I can provide you with an incomplete early build of 6.0.1 that Rectonics was working on before they just suddenly stopped. I have tried it, and while it works it doesn’t let the battery charge for some reason and is missing GAapps.
If it didn’t have the issue where your battery never charges then it would be fine. I had to go back to stock because of this issue.
Here are both of the roms and the installer just in case someone could possibly fix the battery charging issue.
right now I have been using G4 for a long time.
And many problems start to appear on my phone.
I have got Bluetooth lagging, so sometimes disconnected with my earbud.
I have got no internet on 5G wifi, but 2.4G wifi works fine.
I have overheating problem and battery draining problem.
I want to know what I can do to fix or reduce the problem. Please don't tell me to buy a new one. I know it can be a solution.
Another problem is it only get Android 6.0 and I have att version but I am on Tmobile network.
I also want to know if any 3rd party Rom provides have a 7.0 or 8.0 for that?
Any suggestion can help.
If no way to fix or improve, I will look for a new one.

If you google LG g4 boot loops it’s all a common issue. There are fixes like baking it in the oven, taking it apart and redoing to heat sink or whatever. But only actual fix is replace the phone. The G4 is common for hardware failure. Just make sure you backup everything as it wouldn’t be a surprise when it bootloops, usually there’s no bad signs before bootloop but can still happen especially since your having hardware problems.
You’ll need an AT&T sim to update the device. Sorry can’t answer on custom Roms though.

Hi there,
Have something that botheres me for a while.
My daughter's S7 started overheating not long ago and it seems to get worse every day.
Random reboots every few hours. I was next to her whrn watching a live stream and the video stopped and the audio glitched (buzzzzzzz) just before the phone restarted again. Is this the end or a software reboot can fix that? Or probably a new battery?
Still using the original software version. There has never been unlocked or installed a custom build. Of course its out of warranty long time ago.
Thanks for your help in advance.

I wouldn't worry, it'll probably explode while you're asleep taking the whole neighbourhood with it.
So the answer is, as device firmware is updated so are the apps you use, which demand ever more CPU resource and battery power. This will be the primary cause of the excessive battery drain and hence extra heat on an older model. Of course there's the fact that eventually a rechargable battery will start behaving crazy the older it gets. They are only supposed to function correctly for 500 recharge cycles, after that all manner of craziness happens.
A temp fix would be to check the firmware is the lastest version which goes someway to correct these issues, but eventually nothing will remove the need for a battery change or new phone i'm afraid. Like most electronics they simply arent build to last.
You could also flash a custom ROM and only have the apps you want but that's a different conversation.
Thanks for the reply ?.
I guess you're right. Its like trying to run a compatible game on an old PC while using the video and cpu on their maximum capacity all the time.
I'll look for a light custom rom. Done that many times to some of my older phones so I think I'll manage to install one. Thanks again for the above
Hey guys,
Posting here because I am at my wits end with this issue and nobody else has seemed to have this issue. So anyways I am using a Tencent Rog 5 (I know I know) running the latest WW firmware but it didn't seem to matter what firmware I use.
Here is the issue, the phone runs awesome when I am using it but when I leave my phone and it goes idle (screen shuts off etc) the phone will just randomly reboot, I have looked through the logs I got from before and after the phone rebooted on its own but I am not sure what sort of error I should be looking for. Has anyone else had this same issue and solved it? I can't find any posts about this issue.
I can sit here and play high graphics FPS games for hours and no issues it just seems to be when the phone goes idle.
If anyone has some spare time and willing to help me out that would be greatly appreciated.
In case anyone wanted to try and help me figure this out, I really don't know what I would be looking for as I am no tech guy for phones.
