I have separated before minutes the digitizer from LCD and i dont see any broken or wrong with LCD.
What is the reason to not see a Lighting when put to charge? Is that a software problem/missing?

have you tired to enter download mode or heaweis equivalent
or recovery
was it rooted
kinda need a little back story here
I work in service and the truth is i dont even remember if the display was showing correct, but maybe it was.
I have purchased digitizer and lcd from Ali and the digitizer is in me > just wanted to make the phone full functional.
What key combinations to try?
Is there the possibility that the display foil has gone off with the glass?

After getting throught this problem http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1644971 I got another one. My device felt down and now I got a small "slot" bbetween the display and the chassis. But thats not the only problem. The touchscreen (digitizer ??) does not work well. The four "onscreen" buttons dont work and about a quarter inch above them the screen doenst react well, sometimes it does, most of the tim not. I want to repair it by myself but I do not know much about it. I know how to assemble and disassmble, but thats it. Is this http://www.ebay.de/itm/270933343810 the part I have to change? Or is there even more or an other part?
Thank you so much guys!
I disassemled the hole thing now and I can see that there's a mini-crack in the lcd at the top right. No matter for the display at the moment. It must be the digitizer?! Is it possible that it is broken, while I cannot see a damage onit?

this is the part you need http://www.ebay.de/itm/LCD-Display-...75910021?pt=Handy_Zubehör&hash=item337330cc85
thats the whole assembly otherwise you will find it really hard because the touch screen digitizer and the main screen are together attatched.
Yesss baby! I replaced the digitzer and it works fine again.

Hi people,
I know there is some similar topic to this one but i couldnt find it, so i opened this one.
My problem is that my nexus s screen is not holding anymore on top, where front camera and sensors are. Glue weakened so upper part pops out a little bit and i can press it in. There is no problems with that, im just afraid that whole screen can pop out in some days if glue weakens. So, my question is, if i give it to Samsung center to repair it, would i get new screen or they would just glue this one back? Also, will they make factory reset(wipe my phone), so i know to make proper backups? Thanks.

Cannot answer the screen part, but they're quick on the wipe. I think it's one of the mandatory steps no matter what. They also advise that they're not responsible for your data loss when you turn it in, so i'd backup if I was you. Mine got wiped when I had my BGA failure.

So if they make wipe, there is a big chance i lost recovery, root etc. Backup it is. I will think about sending it for repair. I might keep it until screen falls of or something. i have 1 more year of warranty.

Watch out though because if you "break it" per se (crack the screen cause it falls or something silly like that) they might not cover it and you might have to spend from your pocket. And that sucks.

Hi,
A friend of mine dropped his miro and it cracked the screen. He bought another phone and gave me the broken one.
The phone works fine, it's just the cracked glass as you can see in the pics. I'm planning to use it for dev, but if i can get the screen fixed even better.

Try to turn the phone on, see if the screen still shows, behind the cracked screen, check if there are no dead pixels, if not, than you can use that part to replace indeed. But you will need to warm the screen, else it won't come loose.

Thank you
Honestly, no, I had a broken screen before on my Tipo but I brought it to some Service point, not an official Sony one. But I know you COULD use a hairdryer, and you should mostly warm the edges. Not TOO warm though because that can cause screen damage also.
It's kinda tricky to find out how. And theres no dissamble video or instructions for these phones yet... so...
EDIT: I could figure it would look something like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqypUFCL3Ak
But I'm not sure. You'll probably also need Torx screwdrivers.
Edit 2:
Theres some guides now, but it doesn't show anything about the screen itself.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36OQfj3eFcw for Miro
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nz79YQukiyE for Tipo Dual, (I think Tipo Single is 97% the same).
Here how to replace lcd and touch... anyway replace touch also is very easy just heat some and you can easy remove.
Dont forget take tape black from older digitizer and put in new one because when you press touch makes like water bubble.

Hey
few days ago my HOX ATT fall down. all the buttons were ok but after some days they had stopped working. i have tried to do factory reset but it didnt helped. all the touch screen works but the buttons not. i sent the HOX to Repair shop and they told me they have not seen thing like this before that only part of the touch digitizer working.
can you help me solve the problem?
Thanks.
The fact that the repair shop has never seen it before, does that mean they won't even try to fix it?
He said that he need to order this part to fix it and he even not sure that it will work.
is this hardware problem?

Since you dropped the phone recently, I'd be inclined to say yes.
I'd try to RUU, and if the problem persists, its probably a hardware failure caused by the drop.

Please search the forums regarding LCD changing. It's not an easy task.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1720900
You must buy the entire LCD - Digitizer -light guides bundle . It's almost impossible to separe the screen from the LCD, so buying the digitizer is a waste of time if you dont have the LCD.

the same thing for me, i have tryed everithing and not fixed yet, in a few weeks you will see how other parts in the touch screen will not work too.
As javierarenas has said, Purchasing the digitizer alone is a bad idea. Nearly impossible is an understatement. even with a heat gun and an unlimited amount of patience you would be lucky to separate the digitizer from the LCD.
As Redpoint said, if RUU doesn't fix it, you will need a new screen.
Take the phone apart prior to buying the screen. Check the colors of the ribbon cable and try to find the EXACT same screen. This will save you a lot of trouble. Make sure to keep the old screen in case you need to sync the new screen otherwise you are totally screwed.
Good luck.
I tried taking apart my phone and it was not an easy task.....AT ALL! MAKE SURE TO BE PATIENT!

Funny thing is I never had to take mine apart. But did have to reattach the screen, sat down with phone in back pocket and when I pulled it out it had separated the screen from body and had to use some iPhone screen double sided tape to glue back down.

:what:Then I guess either ur screen guard(if any...) is dusty... or something has gone under ur LCD.
coz pixels(defective or normal) don't shine after phone has shut down.

Not dust, but I think it is a damage, but have no idea how it happened. I'm always careful to avoid damage.
I have the same problem. It is from home/car keys, metalic stuff, metal on the jeans/pocket.
They are tinny cracks in the screen. Hope they don't spread and eventually break

Screen is O.K. Not white, blue, green and red dot.
Like a follow poster already said: When you shut off the phone, these dots shouldn't be visible unless it is a physical damage.
Or dust. You prob. have to clean or replace the screen then.

Windows Phone 8 have all what I need. Almost all of the applications that I use on Android have its equivalent for Windows Phone.
As for the phone, I think it has very good features for its price.
Thanks for opinion and I respect your opinion, and about the taste is not discussed.
