I have a Koodo LG P500H. I am having a very hard time installing TWRP.
Firstly Play store doesn't work. It has this old thing called "Market" that has some apps, but not all. Market eventually gets updated to Playstore, but I can't even find TWRP manager. There was another app in the Playstore that I tried called ROM Manager. It said it installed TWRP for me. I restarted the phone, and nothing happened.
Restarting and Holding power/volume down/home will show a picture that seems to be some sort of recovery mode. But it only run for 1-2 seconds before the phone restarts itself. Nothing happens.
I tried to use ADB. But after rebooting the device it just restarted without ever going into recovery mode. So the flash command just get stuck at "Waiting for Device." Does this phone even have a recovery mode?
This phone doesn't support Odin.
I am used to using TWRP. Without it I cannot flash the phone into new OS.
And every single time I fail, the whole phone seems to have reformatted. So I have to enter in my wifi password and gmail again. All of that typing on a very small keyboard takes a lot of time. I had spent hours on this phone without getting TWRP working.

The problem is when I reboot into fastboot (adb reboot bootloader), the phone will go into "phone off battery charging mode". It never actually goes into the bootloader.
Ok I did the following and it seems fastboot and TWRP works now. Be sure to enable USB Debugging on your P500.
1) Fastboot tutorial (I did everything here. I hit "ok" on the LGMDP 1.5 tool as needed. Do not wait till the countdown timer goes to zero.)

FastBoot Tutorial
1. Please download this (or from here) file and unzip it in to any folder.
2. Start LGMDP 1.5 tool with the phone connected (you need to have USB drivers installed) and click on Select Port
3. A separate window should appear like the one below
Just click connect
4. Another window will take shape (LGE Mobile security) with lots of options (links)
Click on the first upper right Browse and select the folder in with you have unzipped the files. You will get some errors that some image, table or headers are missing. Just click OK and in the end everything that should remain selected is Partition Table, APPSBL Image Header and APPSBL Image.
Now just close the window (click on x)
5. Now you are back on the main window and here you'll have to click on Download
6. You are almost done and from now on everything should go on automatically.
NV Backup
Autorestart in Emergency\Download mode and upgrade the files (you selected on step 4)
NV Restore (the last step) Do not disconnect the USB cable until the restore is done
Wait for the phone to restart in normal mode (your current rom).
That should be everything you need to do to get fastboot enabled.

2) Install PdaNet+ (This was the only thing I did in this tutorial. It fixed the usb driver and the fastboot can then communicate with my PC.)

(Note: On top of Partition Table, APPSBL Image Header and APPSBL Image in step 4, I also selected the TWRP image file as my RECOVERY image. Not sure if this make a difference. )
(Note 2: I think you can also get the LG drivers here.)
3) Restart, hold down power + home to boot to the fastboot. Or in ADB type adb reboot bootloader.
4) Open ADB (while phone is still in fastboot mode) and type fastboot flash recovery twrp.img (after downloading the TWRP image, renaming it and moving it to my ADB root folder. I am using TWRP 2.8.0.1 here.)
5) Type fastboot reboot
6) After the phone restarts, type adb reboot recovery. TWRP runs for me. Power+Home+Volume Down (3 button combo) also works now. (Previously this would reset the phone.)

Hi. What is your "brick" like? Does your TWRP still run? If yes you can just copy a custom OS into your Microsd card and install it from your Microsd.
You can also use ADB push to move files from your PC to the phone.

If you TWRP doesn't run, you need to install that first. Do steps 3 and 4 in the above post to boot into bootloader and install TWRP.

Before Starting
1. Can you boot ?
No. Go to Question 2.
Yes. You have came to the wrong place, but feel free to finish reading.2. Do you see the flyme logo when you boot?
Yes. Goto Stuck on Flyme Logo
No. Go to Question 33. Do you see the Meizu Logo and phone reboots over and over
Yes. Go to Testing
No. You flashed a wrong or damaged preloader, chances of unbricking LOW, Go to Sp Flash Tool
Testing
1. Shutdown your phone by holding power button (if you can)
2. Turn on phone with power + volume up until vibrates
I see a flyme logo & recovery options, Goto Stuck on Flyme Logo
Still rebooting, Continue
3. Turn on phone with power + volume down until vibrates
I see the words 'fastboot' at bottom, Go to Sp Flash Tool

Stuck on Flyme Logo
You see the flyme logo, and the logo spins couple every couple of sec and waited for over 30 min and still does not boot.
Get in recovery mode, two ways choose one.
Method one (easy)
1. Turn off Phone (Force by holding power button)
2. Turn on Phone with power + volume
If it does not work go to Sp Flash Tool or Method two
Yes, my devices is now in recovery mode, continue the steps, skip Method two
Method two (need computer and harder)
1. Turn on the Phone where the logo spins
2. install adb on computer (link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979)
3. Plug phone into computer and get drivers for adb
4. Type 'adb devices' in cmd
5. If you get a device in the list continue by Typing 'adb reboot recovery'
'adb devices' not displaying devices (try method one or install driver)
'adb reboot recovery' reboots phone but not to recovery, this confirms that the recovery partition is damaged follow the steps in Sp Flash Tool

What rom did you install? If official you might be able to get a replacement through warranty.
Try SP Flash Tools, instruction in the first post. Chances are low but test if it detects after pressing download.

i installed from official firmware after installing it rebooted and never turn on no vibration nothing(no warranty i bought it from china on aliexpres) and please look at error ive got sp flash tool

i used DA_PL.BIN and got the same error, maybe bootloader is locked thats why this error?
The error shows when your device started before the software can flash anything. SP flash tools works with locked bootloader, maybe your preloader is 100% dead

SPFlashtools fails to connect dead bricked Meizu M3S
Connecting to USB system recognizes as
MediaTek DA USB VCOM Port (COM7)
But other ports including Preloader are not
Do I have any hope to recover phone?
After following these steps, one by one, no matter if all went OK, my phone (m3s) won’t boot and it seems it is completely dead now. It can’t turn on. Power button looks unresponsive. What should I do? Is there any help?
many thanks for this guide @bluecub1st . The problem I have with my M3s is that it boots perfectly fine and works well, i just cannot enter recovery by using Volume + and power, and flashing a new firmware from inside Flyme OS just reboots the phone. I can enter fastboot though no problem, but i tried to do the SP Flash tool method listed and I just get this error message:
ERROR : S_TIMEOUT (0x412)
Any ideas how to fix this and get my recovery back? Really need some help so i can flash flyme 6...

enable it by entering your screen lock
allow usb debugging in developer options

extract them in pc
open extracted folder connect your phone with data cable
hit click shift + right click
open command window
here yu have to execute first command
adb reboot bootloader
then check your phone
and allow this computer alway for usb debugging
your cellphone will reboot into bootloader mode it not that re enter command and hit enter
now you are in fastboot mode
execute second command
fastboot oem unlock
third command is
fastboot format userdata
not plug out your phone and check
press 1 minute both power key and volume up
your mobile will reboot
and there will be a popup on main bootlogo that device is unlocked
than you have to get phone into fastboot mode by first command
and same process
then download twrp for your moto e3 power from official site
rename that file with recovery.img
and copy into extracted folder in your pc

Can't install this package on top of incompatible data. Please try another package or run a factory reset.
Updater process ended with ERROR 7
Any idea ?

problem
my p9 i do the things as you saying but it when it goes on fastboot stack on screen your devise is booting now...wont open and at adb says waiting for devise nothing else what to do ?
To get into fastboot mode you keep the phone plugged into computer and hold power and volume down until you get to the white fastboot screen.
There is no need to wait for the battery to drain as you can just force shut down a phone using power + volume down holding.

I came here because i tried to install miui on my P9 via trwp , somehow it wasnt mountable and after searching the internet i found the solution was to change the filetype.
Sadly i forgot that this would delete my backup, which happened and the miui still wasnt mountable.
I tried your method but after a few miliseconds of the forced update it gets an error and stops.
Or lets say i tried your method while being in trwp recovery mode because otherwise no devices are being detected by adb tool.
i tried to install a p9 stock rom but i cant even mount that one, somehow nothing works.
I seriously dont know what to do anymore.

Try to flash downgrade firmware...
Rollback Instructions
Step 1. Download the appropriate rollback firmware
Step 2. Copy the extracted dload folder to the external storage of your phone (micro sd card).
Step 4. Disconnect the USB cable and turn your phone off.
Step 5. Now hold Volume up + Volume down + Power buttons until the installation screen appears.
Step 6. When the phone restarts after completing the installation, your firmware version should now be “B300”.
Step 7. Try to find oldest marshmallow firmware and flash it using same way...
I want to android 6.0 as twrp. How ? Pls
That is only for unlocked bootloader??

YES i know what ur going to say (Enable OEM unlock)or(Enable usb debugging in setting) But the problem is that I cannot boot into OS nor recovery, I am stuck on the (Your Device is unlocked and can't be trusted (1)Press power key to continue ECT..... Is there any way Beside Enabling OEM unlock method to fix this or enabling me to gain access to flash recovery or any img file without Command not allowed error ?Ive recently Installed this rom https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rom-ncs-rom-v1-1-08-16-2016-t3440269 idk if that is part of the Issue Would be Much appreciated for the help
Forgot to mention that doing the 3 buttom method to restore using DLOAD , I get stuck on the HUAWEI logo and doesnt seem to boot into the Updating state.

I have exactly the same problem.
OTA with dload doesnt work - dont load ota recovery,just huawei logo loop
fastboot recovery is booted, but when I try steps in main thread I getting Error : Command Not allowed even if I try unlock the bootloader.
Do have somebody solution for it? Every idea is good. I dont want to put this phone to the trash

both are locked.
When i try to unlock bootloader,i getting the error message.
FRP lock is not possible to unlock becouse phone dont wont start.

That's the problem, when playing with ROMs you must take carw that you keep OEM Unlocked.
Maybe DC-Unlocker (paid) can help

Before starting you need to :
1- download unbirck tool (RM3, RM3S);
2- download TWRP for A11 (for both of them)
3-download minimal adb and fastboot tool ADB
4- Buy OTG Link
The Steps1- You should install the ADB
2- Go to fastboot mode then to Boot to edload (by using volume down) then press power the screen will be black screen
3- Open the unbirck tool and follow the steps which the developer put in his note
4- if the phone didn't open and still giving (device is corrupt) go to again to fastboot mode then open the TWRP tool (its in cn language so may be weird for you) and will explain the steps in pics
5- when it finishes go down in fastboot mode to reach to recovery mode press on power it will take u to TWRP (may u found it in cn language so follow that video to make it in eng)
6- Plug ur flash drive in ur pc and put the rom on it RM3S , RM3
7- Connect ur phone with that flash drive then in TWRP [ Mount > Select Storage > USB-CTG ] then go back and join [Install > the rom which u downloaded] after that restart the phone

Look i use RM3S software but i have RM3 .. i feel that RM3S software smooth more than RM3 software .. look i see u stay on A10 till they fix all bugs in A11 .. its my point + Pubg not working in A11 for RM3/3S so if u playing on it don't use now A11

I had problem about less charger mA on 3 charger and cables so strange on my red magic 3s, so yesterday i did buy another cable and same thing less mA like 100 should be 3000 , so i did use one charger adapter rampow for try , when i did put charger less again but the screen get blocked and reboot , when it restarted i did see that if i put to charger again also with orginal charger and cable will block screen and reboot so i did try to reset and install Europe & Asia: V212 , when did get 100% will show that " Device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and will not boot " ,this happen if you put one not original cable or charger i did discovery ,now the problem is if i put the cable on laptop for flash install roms windows will not detected the new hardware of red magic so how can i fix that now

i can t do that because windows not recognized the phone , so i should get that before all but i did see some solution maybe and afther can i do all maybe

I habe redmagic 3 stuck at device corrupted
I have tried almost every guide i could
Its still same
I tried your way and now it keeos booting back to fastboot
Even if i choose reboot to recovery or reboot to system after i use twrp tool
Any suggestions?

downloaded some files and viola
my device is running again
on cn version 5.11 android 11
rooted and with gapps installed

i want to do the exact same solution but i have bricked my rm3 with a downgrade. now my best problema is that pc not recognized the Phone on fastboot. i'm demoralized...

I also had that issue and i fixed it recently,
Just go to a mobile shop tell them to try to unlock bootloader step while connected to a box like miracle, ultimate where any of red magic series phone available.
After that the result got failed but phone starting recognizing in fastboot mode.

Bro around 15-20 days back I was on global rom, as it was not receiving any update lately thought to install cn android 11 rom. After installing the rom I was unable to find any twrp for it so, I downgraded it to android 10 cn rom, but my phone got bricked. I thought there might be some issue with recovery so I did a fresh install following:
Using cn android 11 rom
Using brioli
Extracted the sdat2img.py system.transfer.list system.new.dat system.img
fastboot oem nubia_unlock NUBIA_NX629J
Fastboot erase boot
Fastboot erase recovery
Fastboot erase system
Fastboot erase userdata
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot erase data
fastboot erase system
fastboot erase modem
fastboot erase dsp
fastboot erase vbmeta
fastboot erase dtbo
fastboot flash parameter parameter.img

But after installing the twrp, when I try to reboot to recovery, it reboots in fastboot again.
