Something wrong with my LG G4?(charging and discharging) - General Questions and Answers

Hi every1 ,first time here I own used LG G4 H810 i've some questions and need some suggestions
I know ampere app works well cuz when i charged galaxy j7 prime (My brother's phone)with its original 1.55 amp at 5v charger the app showed absolure 1500mah charging speed
When i charge my phone(LG G4) with 500mA(5v)Charger Ampere app shows average charging speed of 220mah at 39-4.1v
When i charge my phone with 2.1A(5.1v)Unknown company Charger Ampere app shows average charging speed of 800mah at 39-4.1v
i charged my phone with lg quick charger(1.8A 5v and 1.8v 9v) and ampere app showed charging of 1400mah at 3.9-4.1v with no quick charging notification
Most of the times after after charging the phone discharges very fast (like -500mah)for like 5min and then returns to normal
Once my charging was kinda stuck at one point so i restarted phone and charging percentage jumped like 15% is there something wrong with my phone ,?
Im intrested in buying extended slim batteries from ebay with 4000mah and 5000mah capacities, should i go for them?
guys i need your help

charger problem!!

Whenever I charge the phone THE CHARGER.. gets very very hot..
Is it normal nor I solid go for a replace as it is the original Motorola charger provided with moto G?(in the box)
there was no original charger provided with the moto g. I know that some stores sold the moto g with an additional charger but it they did it themselfs.
it is pretty normal that phones get hot while charging, because of the chemical reaction in the battery. If the phone is in use while charging it gets even hotter. When I charge the moto g in the car, while using maps on it, the battery reaches temperatures of around 45 °C, which is not good, but still acceptable for the circumstances.
In germany there was a recall because one company added a charger that could break the charging port. the charger was from the company "iProtect". I was affected by this and could easily exchange it, the store just sent me an original motorola charger that charged a little slower (around 850 ma compared to 1a of the first charger).
If you want your phone to get less hot while charging you can do the following:
1. don't charge it at a hot place (like on a window ledge where the sun is shining, in the sauna or near a heater)
2. don't use your phone while charging (the CPU and GPU also create heat when they get stressed)
3. use a charger with a lower ampere rating (the moto G support all chargers that output 5v and 0.5 - 1.5 a. I have a charger from a sony headset (MW600) that only outputs around 600 ma that I use when charging over night. in day to day situations I use the 850 ma charger from motorola and if I'm in a hurry I use the 1a charger from my HTC.
What is the current output of the charger? If it´s something like 500 mA (some Indian guys said that was the charger bundled with the phone in India), it really shouldn´t be hot, not even too warm. If it´s something like 2 A, the battery gets warm when charging, but not really hot.
Since the phone has battery temperature sensor (Antutu can read it for instance, just as many other programs), put it on the charger and tell us what the battery temperature is and what the charger output is. Only after that we can tell if it´s too hot.
MY mistake
The charger gets tooo hot
Lol. Yeah, chargers can get hot. Nothing strange about that unless it starts melting
I have noticed this also. Both my Moto G's came with a Motorola branded charger. The charger gets pretty hot while in use. More than I'm used to seeing on any of my Samsung chargers.

Charging thoughts.

I just got this wonderful phone, but there are some mysteries that I would like to get solved. Mostly, they are about charging. I would like to use wireless charging, but most QI chargers only deliver 600-1000 MAh. If it delivers 1000 MAh and the power conversion rate is set by manufacturer to 70%, does that mean that it only charges with 700 MAh?? That way it will take 4.5 hours for it to charge from 0-100%. BUT... my original wall charger shows appx 700 MAh when I check it with the pro version of the app Galaxy Charging Current and the pro version of Ampere. The phone says the phone is done charging in appx 1.5 hours. What decides the rate of charging?? I have tried a LOT of chargers, even the now leftover charger from my Galaxy S4, but they don't charge as fast. Some of my USB wall chargers take over 3 hours to get the job done, and I would like a spare that does it as good as the original. There are som 3 Ampere chargeres on ebay, are any of them any good? Hope to get this clarifyed.

Hi,
Which phone? Kindly provide us the more details.
My phone
What? You are not psychic?? ;=) My bad, I thought I posted this in the Galaxy S7 forum, but must have been sleepy. Like I wrote, it is a Samsung Galaxy S7. Sorry for the slip.

Battery lasts longer after normal recharging than turbo charging

Hi,
I noticed that when I recharge it with a charger that is only 650ma the battery last much longer than with turbo charger that came with the phone.
Even in standby after recharged it takes one hour to consume only 1% but after turbo recharging it takes about 10 min to drop 1%.
Is there anyone experiencing something like that?
Funny it is.... The case is opposite for me... Although I use Transomart QC 2.0 charger. My battery lasts longer when I charge it with quick charger compared to standard 1 Amp chargers.
That´s so weird.
I am preparing a comparison to figure out what's happening.
It happens the same here. I've a Aukey turbo charger and the battery drains faster

I also got Aukey and it's the same
There's no way to actually know the charge (in mAh) of a battery without draining the battery. The way that phones estimate the charge is by measuring the voltage of the battery. Quick Charge 2.0 (supported by the Moto X 2014) uses a higher voltage to charge the battery faster. This can make the battery hit max voltage before it is actually fully charged. That is why Quick Charge always advertises how quickly it gets to 80%. To get to full charge (not just when it shows 100%, but when it is actually fully charged) will take about the same time as a standard charger.
Heat and Turbo charge destroys your battery.
if i turbo charge , my phone will suddenly die when it's between 10-20%. W/ regular charging I get sudden death at 6-8%
i use a moto razr 850mah charger and solved the 8% sud power off, took 2 charge cycles from death to 100% leaving it overnight. Now battery works as it should
.
As I've been reading around (can't recall specific scientific data), the faster you charge the battery, the less capacity it can hold. So it makes sense that it lasts longer if you charge it slowly. I don't know how much would be the difference tho.
It is normal in my opinion. Slower charging is also healthier for the battery and usually will last longer
Has anyone ever used a wireless charging pad with the phone. I bought a stick-on one from amazon and it charges fine,,,slower but fine. However, I noticed that it tends to get suck at certain levels and if I take off the wireless charger at say 89 percent,,,it takes less than a min to go to 100 percent charged?
Recomendeed is charge with Motorola original charger of this device, i mean 1150mAh dual port charger
Anyone here with experience of using Motorola's Turbopower 15 wall charger? I'm thinking to buy one, because waiting for 1 hr to charge to 100% is quite annoying.

Quick charge not working.

Hi. Posted this in a couple other places already. Got my XZ yesterday and it doesn't come with a quick charger. Fine, I bought some. None of them are working though.
Tried Anker and Aukey, and also the charger from my wife's HTC 10. Any ideas why this isn't working?
Everything I've read (the specs on the official site) say that this phone supports Quick Charge. I've tested the HTC 10 in all 3 chargers and it quick charges so I know it's not them.
Tried it with Battery Care off and nothing. When Battery Care is on all I get is messages saying "Battery Care has crashed" or something. Pretty annoying, considering I just dropped about £50 on new chargers!

Sony enable Quick Charge only when battery is under 60% for safety reason.

Battery was at 15% dude.
When it's quick charging, does it give any indication? I know the HTC 10 says "charging rapidly".

There is no indication.
You can check with Ampere.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gombosdev.ampere
This app doesn't show exact charging current, but if it shows over 2,000 mAh (wait about 30 sec) quick charge is working.
Please note there are heat throttling, so quick charge is disabled when device is really hot.
I bought Aukey QC 3.0 and when the phone is over 85%, I get 680ma; below that I get higher rates over 1000ma.
UPDATE: I put my phone in charge at 50% and I got over 2000ma but when it reached 80%, it changed to 600ma. So it supports quick charging but when it reaches to almost full, it activate battery optimization for the safety of the battery.
confirming above, I also came from a HTC10 and was expecting to see a "charging rapidly" message. My XZ also doesnt display this.
When using GSAM, I can see the rate of change of charge, when connected to a QC2.0 or a QC 3.0 charger and at low battery capacity, I can see rate of change of up to 60% per hour, this is in line with my other QC phones. It does appear that Sony throttles charge speeds more than HTC does above 80%, but I can understand that, and it doesnt bother me too much.
Yeah, I've had some time to look at Ampere and would conclude the same.
My XZ on the Anker charger is peaking about 2190ma when charging at a low percent, whereas my Z2 on the old standard charger peaks around 730ma - this is after 5 minutes for both.
Was just a little freaked that it didn't indicate that it was "charging rapidly". Guessing the throttling will also help battery life, although it was a bit of a sore one seeing the wife's HTC 10 peak around 2900ma.
Anyone know if the Galaxy s7 chargers will output 3.0 with the international models??
Did you buy a used phone? My XZ came with an OEM SONY QC 3.0 rated charger. Using Gsam battery monitor pro I get readings up to 2200+ mAh charge rates between 30 and 60% battery. That is generally considered to be the safest range to fast charge lithium ion batteries (fast charge generally being a charge rate higher than .5C, which for this phone is 1450mAh). I don't get any indication it is fast charging, it just does it. QC 3.0 applies a varying voltage and amperage throughout the charge, offering more gradual and "healthy" charge curves as opposed to conventional or QC 2.0 charging. Basically your QC 3.0 charger charges the battery as fast as is possible while not sacrificing battery life (say due to excess heat or overcharging).
Hi, I have recently bought a new XZ & bought the original Sony charger UCH12W at same time. The hour of charged is need approx. 2 hours from the battery percentage 30% to 100%. Is that any one face this ? Or maybe is my charger or either my phone problem.
Try this
Use the the detect usb in the notification keys before connecting the charger,, this will solve the fast recharging issues,, even if phone will recognice charging after few seconds,, charging will be fast and normal

this solves the problem, its sad that you need to do this first and its not automatically fast charging .
Still buggy
Its the only method that i find it working,,, but still there is a chance that phone still wont charge fast so keep an eye on the charging process,, and its temporary solution till next update for soctware as i hope its a bug in android 7

Slow Charging!

My 1.5 year olf Q6 is charging very slowly. The battery backup is still 1 day. But the charging rate is very slowly. It shows 3hrs+ for a full charge! What can I do?

get a minimum 2 Amps charger, this phone supports quickcharging (at least thats what i see, and what others said). the stock cable is fine but you might have to try another cable if your charger is already a quickcharge compatible. i can charge from 0 to full in about an hour with 2 amps, you might get better result with a better charger brick but i can't confirm.
I have a V30+ charging brick. That's QC 3.0 Will it work? EDIT: just tried it. It doesn't work. My phone has never shown Fast charging. It just shows charging. The stock brick is 5V1.2amps.
Which brick do you have?

i forgot to tell you it won't show anything that tells you its on quickcharging, the only thing that shows is the faster charge estimation, please try again and observe. my charger brick is a samsung adaptive fast charging with 2amps maximum rating, your charger should be better than mine. borrow another fast charge compatible brick if necessary, and also cable quality matters. else, welp might be hardware issues...
Tried a fresh cable and the stock charger. The old original cable was the culprit for the slow charging time. Charging time has come back to original fast levels. But it's the same with the V30+ charging brick. Don't have another phone that's QC. But will try if I get an opportunity
I'm using Battery saver in Maximum mode (with VIbration enabled) + Comfort View (highest level) with Grayscale. With moderate usage, it takes two days to drain the battery after fully. Though I recharge it at end of every day for an hour for the battery durability. I've also replaced Home with 'ap15 launcher which for me has proved lightest and most practical one.
My lg q6 canadian variant came with fast charging. It's region dependent. Though i don't know if you had fast charge on your variant
Same as my DSK unit. Charging slowly for about 5-6 hour with original wall charger
