Hi there!
Here is the latest app by Facebook: Hello — Caller ID & Blocking.
For now you can download from the play store only it in the States, Nigeria and Brazil (go figure). I am not in one of those 3 countries and it works just fine :good:
Description from the Play Store:
Make your phone smarter with Hello. Built by Messenger just for Android, Hello combines info from Facebook with the contact info on your phone so it's easy to stay in touch with the people you care about.
Now you can see who's calling, block unwanted calls and search for people and places on Facebook. You can also call and text people for free using Messenger.
• See who's calling you, even if you don't have that phone number saved in your phone.
• Easily block unwanted calls.
• Automatically block calls from numbers that have been blocked by a lot of other people.
• Search your phone contacts and people and places on Facebook, without switching between apps.
• Always have the latest info about your contacts, including their profile pictures and birthdays.
• Open a Facebook profile or Page with just one tap.
• Call and text for free with Messenger.
• Call, add and edit contacts — just like you do on your phone.
Download Hello and make it your dialer.
Needless to say, I am not responsible/the developer of this app.
Enjoy:
it works good brah thank you

I don't know about Facebook, since I've stopped using it long time ago, but WhatsApp application does it very well actually, provided you enable the option in the application itself as well.
I have the new Huawei smartwatch w2 (coming together with P10) and when I say the command "send a whatsapp message to xxxxx" it never recognizes the contact who I want to send the message. The system always is asking "who" again and again. It seems to not recognize the contact. If I say "send an email to xxxx" (same person) or a simple sms or call it works fine.
Also if I reply whatsapp notification, there is not an error, it seems fine , but the answer never is sent through whatsapp
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

"We provide notifications for Android Wear. We do not, however, have a dedicated Android Wear app. If you are unable to receive notifications on your watch, please try all troubleshooting steps on our FAQ."
Thats the answer from Whatsapp. Really not what i wanted to hear.

Today i tried saying "send whatsapp message to XXX" and it asked me for the message and it went thru successfully.
I'm using the HW2 BT version
I'm having the same problem, my hw2 get stuck asking for the contact.
How did you solve it?
Use wear messages for WhatsApp and Facebook messenger. You will be able to respond that way.
So the trending theme here seems to be pronunciation of contact names. I noticed that most people posting to this thread seem to have english as a second language and from what I can tell, you are attempting to send the message in english. Try and speak the contact name slower, this will allow Android Assistant to learn the contact name easier over time since the name possibly sounds different when pronounced with an accent.
Watch faces
The problem, at list in my case resolve just changing the watch face that supports it. The once that I tried are the once with the "setting" icon. I'm using the Huawei watch 2 sport with the official watch face, the one on the demo.

I'm having the same problem.
I have tried the different solutions proposed in the thread, but the problem continues.
Have you found the solution?
Thanks
I want to use Android messages on my Note 8 with the S3. It works! It allows me to reply and has a list of quick replies. BUT FOR THE LIFE OF ME, I can't find where to edit that list. It is a different list than the quick replies in the settings. Those work with the native samsung messages app. I want to use the Android so I can see my messages on my computer!
I have looked in the app, on the phone, on the watch app. Just can't find it!
Any help would be appreciated.
When I bought the watch I was under the impression that it can reply or at least quick reply to social media messages and not just SMS. I see that there is an app that enables the functionality for Telegram, but I need it for Messenger, Viber and Slack.
Does anyone have an app or workaround or should I switch to a Watch 3? (Can that device do this reliably?)
So to answer my question. I was planning to make Plus Messenger work on my watch, but the Plus Messenger phone app couldn't connect to Huawei Health. I reported that to the developer.
The other plan was to somehow channel Messenger and Viber messages into Telegram in both directions maybe with sameroom.io so I could at least quick answer messages on the watch.
All in all I decided to upgrade to a Watch 3 Pro...
What did you gain by switching? I do have them, but i am pretty unhappy with notifications. Can't reply to anything, notifications are one big chaos. Dismissed on watch doesn't mean dismissed on the phone. Emojis are not show first, only later when you browse notifications manually in a pool of equally looking threads with same frikking application icons.
I realized you can answer only to SMS, Telegram, Whatsup, Messenger. That's not enough, i don't use any, i need universal notification processing like Garmin. It also won't react at all to phone alarms, or messenger calls.
I did upgrade to the Watch 3 Pro and started making watch faces. Check them out on https://celest-watches.com
While I truly love the way the Watch 3 Pro looks and the great battery life, the OS leaves a lot to desire. I wasn't at all satesfied with the notifications and replies and had some strange bug: I walk to my job every day and of course I'm tracing it with the walking training program. Unfortunately every few minutes the watch buzzed, but there was not notification or any other rational explanation why.
As I wanted to expand my watch faces to Wear Os, I switched to the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and I'm truly satisfied with the OS there. Not so much with the battery life as I have to charge it every morning....
