Hi all i been searching for an app that dose group sms ... is that something that android supports out the box or > ? i know windows phone and ios do ? is there an app out there that supports group sms ? i know i could send a group sms ?

Don't know I've never used a stock messaging app.
Oh OK .. what app is the best to support group SMS then ? I mean I gave go SMS a try didn't seem to work

Go SMS.
Go to menu -> settings -> advanced tab -> send settings. Check 'MMS group chat'.

No.
Any of the 3rd party SMS apps will do this. Simply search "SMS" in Play Store and it will give you hits.
Specific apps that i've used are: GOSMS, Handcent and ChompSMS

I've been looking for a solution for this too so decided to check out Chomp on your suggestion. I can't find an option to enable group sms like there is in GoSMS. Am I missing something?

Try Handcent, it definitely supports group SMS.

Could have changed their features since I last used it. I am on gosms now and it has group messaging

Try GroupMe, I use it to talk to friends on iPhones and it works great :good:
Why don't you try something like GroupMe or Beluga. I used GroupMe and it worked phenomenally.

is there any kind of solution to mute a whatsapp group permanently?
I am in 6 groups and every 2 minutes my mobile phone is ringin' or sain' "HELLO".
In Whatsapp is only the 1 Week Muting Option ;.

In settings you can mute all whatsapp groups permantently. I don't know if there is a solution for only one group. Are you on the latest version of Whatsapp?

Yes.I have muted 2 of my groups permanently on whatsapp +.
Pressing the thanks button is better than typing it.. Be Lazy Think Crazy ?

Disa is a messaging app that does just this.
It's in Beta, so you won't be able to find it just in the PlayStore.
Go to Google+ and search for Disa. Join their beta test and you should be good to go.
Disa was pretty nice, but I couldn't handle the way the group messaging with MMS was setup.
They may have fixed that by now. I couldn't tell you, but the app was really neat and combined SMS and Whatsapp.

Yeah I had the same issue with using Disa a week ago, whatsapp never got verified.
Will try again today.
Btw, the new CYANOGEN MOD 11 is out for M8!! Anyone tried that yet? Wondering if they have the ZOEY feature?
I have the new Huawei smartwatch w2 (coming together with P10) and when I say the command "send a whatsapp message to xxxxx" it never recognizes the contact who I want to send the message. The system always is asking "who" again and again. It seems to not recognize the contact.If I say "send an email to xxxx" (same person) or a simple sms or call it works fine.
Also if I reply whatsapp notification, there is not an error, it seems fine , but the answer never is sent through whatsapp
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I got same offer.
You can recive whatsapp in the watch but no send any.
I use Skype or Hangouts to have conversations with my people.
I will come back always here to change information about my use daily with the watch.

I have installed the app "Messages" on the watch and now I can reply to whatsApp. I guess a have to take this solution until it works. I had a moto 360 sport before this watch and it is the same problem there with whatsapp. And that watch does not have android wear 2.0. It worked with replying messages earlier but something has happend...
my huawei watch has same problem from some days
Try to install the beta version of WhatsApp. It worked for me.

It sadly did't work for me
But I have read that android has problem with android wear 2.0, so thats why the release for other watches are delayed. So I wounder how good the android 2.0 in this Huawei watch 2.0 is?

Today i tried saying "send whatsapp message to XXX" and it asked me for the message and it went thru successfully.
I'm using the HW2 BT version
I'm having the same problem, my hw2 get stuck asking for the contact.
How did you solve it?
Use wear messages for WhatsApp and Facebook messenger. You will be able to respond that way.
So the trending theme here seems to be pronunciation of contact names. I noticed that most people posting to this thread seem to have english as a second language and from what I can tell, you are attempting to send the message in english. Try and speak the contact name slower, this will allow Android Assistant to learn the contact name easier over time since the name possibly sounds different when pronounced with an accent.
Watch faces
The problem, at list in my case resolve just changing the watch face that supports it. The once that I tried are the once with the "setting" icon. I'm using the Huawei watch 2 sport with the official watch face, the one on the demo.

Hi folks, I just bought a Galaxy Watch 4 and would like to have the option to send Whatsapp texts to contacts who haven't texted me yet. I know that Watch Chat had this option and now it no longer exists in the store. Is there and old apk that might work? Is there any other workaround? Thank you in advance.

I presume you can use Bixby to send a WhatsApp message. Do let me know if it works.
Bixby doesn't have many functions and I can confirm you it doesn't send whatsapp messages. There is a workaround to install Google assistant actually, but i was hoping someone could get watch chat to work or show me how to install it - thanks

Because it is not compatible witch GW4.
Additionally it is not really Whatsapp . It is general use notification app
You may try Informer. It is an app of this kind as above but not full Whatsapp client

I tried but I really don't like this app. I could sideload the messages app and it's working well now.

I use this , works well, but requires pre setting the contacts to be sent messages to (or called) in the phone companion app:

i don't understand how it's possible an application like whatsApp don't have any companion on GW4...
