I was directly from 10A to 10F; b to d I did not receive updates; I do not know why?

Bump. Does anybody have more information on this update?

it removes advance calling and talk/text simultaneously is gone

You have to re-enable HD calling. in my case with Verizon, I had to login to remove/add the feature. After that, HD calling was longer grayed out.

I can confirm, I had to remove the feature via verizon website. then add the feature back. rebooted phone and advance calling was not greyed out and I am able to call and use data simultaneously again

ditto...
Using the US996, enable the phone to detect CDMA/LTE first and then go to your myverizon account and disable/re-enable the advanced calling in order for it to work.

YOUR DROID 2 GLOBAL BY MOTOROLA
JUST GOT EVEN BETTER.
Verizon Wireless is pleased to announce a new software update, Version.4.5.600.A956.Verizon.en.US,
for your Droid 2 Global by Motorola. This update provides several improvements for your device, as
well as upgrading to the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System (OS).
Droid 2 Global by Motorola
SOFTWARE UPDATE
****Lastest update 10/12/11:
Everything must be squared away now, as the new build of 4.5.608 has been approved and should be made available shortly. Normally when these support documents arrive, the update shows up within a week or so.
Letter from Motorola:
10/12/11:
Hi.
"I want to thank you for providing feedback on the Droid 2 Global Gingerbread upgrade. The feedback from Motorola Feedback Network members helped us identify a serious issue and stop the general distribution of the software before a larger number of owners were impacted. I want to personally thank you for your contribution -- it is just this kind of thing that demonstrates the value of this group.
Now we've put in the needed changes to eliminate this single serious issue and we're ready to resume the rollout. Because you provided feedback before, we will include you in the initial push and ask again for your feedback.
We will not do a private community as we think we understand the strengths and gaps of this software based on our first soak. I will be sending a survey -- maybe two -- to make sure that you are able to update, and to see that the encryption issue that caused us to delay has truly been addressed.
Expect the push of a new load tomorrow. You should see no change in how the device operates overall -- unless you encountered the encryption issue. That should disappear.
I will send out a survey tomorrow -- in the event that you have any update problems, use that to let me know.
Again, many thanks for participating in the Motorola Feedback Network. You are really making a difference.
Regards,
- Matt

VERY interested in the improvements to system stability and GSM radio .. just last week I lent my (currently idle) D2G to a friend, and now the update that sounded forever away, suddenly appears.. by the time I get around to getting the handset back, this will probably be old news
If somebody could update this thread when it's actually released, I'd really appreciate it. Would love to make a backup of my current Fusion install, SBF, and then give it a shot.
Ok here the news straight from Verizon Tech suport the update is scheduled to roll 615am cen time ...
Off network install
Will there be a way to install this update if I am not connected to the VZW network? I am currently living in Saudi Arabia (i am from Kansas(insert joke here)) and I am using the STC network with their sim card. I can not get connected wifi due to the proxy problem either.
I am able to install .apk files with android manager, but I first need the downloadable file.
Thanks,
george
i dont think so, but no worries, im sure by the time youll get a chance to install, there will be a downloadable file, if your phone has 5g you can probably download it directly to your phone.
You don't need to be on the Verizon Wireless network for the update to be able to be installed.
Any data connection, be it GSM/UMTS 2G/2.5G/3G, or WiFi, will suffice. The update process is performed over the TCP/IP stack. In case you want to get it over cellular data, you need to remember that the update is about 105MB in size.
About proxies: there are a few applications available on the market that allow you to set Android's proxy configuration, though I am not sure if these settings affect anything besides the web browser.

The update was released @ 06:15 CET and is going out in groups; grouping is probably done by device MEIDs.
You can go to a Verizon store and ask them to push the update to your handset, though.

[Q] Hidden SSID Option not available after Mango Update

After updating my LG Quantum to Mango, the advanced button in Wi-Fi settings does not display the + option to add Hidden SSID's.
Anyone else having this issue on Mango? Or know of a fix?
Thanks.
turn the wifi on
Same issue here on a brand-new Dell Venue Pro (16GB) activated on T-mobile prepaid last night. I did have to force it using the trick, but had never installed any version of beta on it. Doesn't matter whether WiFi is turned on or off, the + icon is not present under the Advanced screen.
I forced mine, I have the +...maybe you got a bad flash...?
Firmware update?

You should have gotten a firmware update, as well. I had 7220 and didn't have the "+" until I got the Samsung update.
LG Quantum 7 also, I did install the LG Update also after the Mango update and still no +.

Simply means LG is not enabling it on your phone. Nothing to do with Microsoft.
Wait for the update from your manufacturer. My Omnia 7 is still on old firmware that won't let me run Samsung apps.

I have the + button and can add. But I have two questions.
1.After you add how do you make it connect, becasue it doesn't accept the WEP key(don't why they ask for a password)
2. How do you specify what kind of a network it is ( e.g. WPA, WPA2 etc...)
Incomplete feature and so it fail again unfotunately.

I received the update yesterday afternoon, and my phone 'freaked out' for a full hour or so after receiving it. The Home button was seemingly locked, the device wouldn't go to sleep, and nothing would run properly. After a few reboots and letting it sit for a while, everything seem to be back to normal. As a matter of fact, it seems a bit snappier now to be honest.
How would one go about tweaking the QC9 Hotspot fix to use for QF2, or does it even need it?
After the G930VVRU4BQF2 (S7) update, I can no longer get apps to write to the SD card. I do have Package Disabler Pro in use. Is there something I may have turned off by accident?

Pie update is live

Received the notification for Pie update yesterday morning for Sprint HTC U11. Thus far, it seems to run smoothly. However, I can't find it anywhere in the setting to turn on the mobile hotspot. Anyone is experiencing the same issue?

can you access it from the pull down hot spot should be in there.
Pull down hotspot quick setting tile has disappeared too.
I downloaded the OTA, but if I'm running Bad Boyz 8.0 rom, do I have to flash a RUU first or can I install this over Bad Boyz? Its systemless root using Magisk.

Problem solved. Please follow the instructions below:
Dial ##72786#. Note: If the dialer does not appear, tap the Dialer icon. Tap YES. The device will restart and initiate Hands Free Activation. After the device restarts it will automatically perform Hands Free Activation. Once the activation is complete, tap OK. The device will then update the PRL. Once the update is complete, tap OK. Tap OK. The device will restart.
After restarting, hotspot and tethering setting selection reappeared.

It has been said many times in the main thread, but here are only a few (I sold it because HTC is not going to fix anything):
Cannot disable the led into do not disturb mode
Digital wellbeing is not into settings menu (you have to use the search)
Adaptative battery is not into settings menu (you have to use the search)
Battery problems (I lost 1,5h SOT)
HTC sense companion is not counting steps (I think there was a new version of the app THREE months later to fix it)
Those are which I can remember and were persistent after factory reset and even after re-flash the RUU.
As I said, I sold it two months ago and I never will buy another device from this manufacturer.
I have a sprint model that i unlocked, since the update i can't use hotspot, i tried ##72786# it just gives me a menu with 4 options that i can't change.
Is there a way for me to get hotspot back?

November 2020 security update is now available

Hi,
Just got it
Only 7MB... I don't think it will fix performance errors after several days
By now I highly doubt these updates have ever fixed anything
I'll probably still have to restart my phone every day to keep it snappy.
Yes, at least for me bugs are still here. Made a clean install
Our device is officially abandoned by Xiaomi even though there's still 8 months of security patches for it. They just refuse to fix anything since they updated to Android 10. I had a slight hope but not anymore.
Funny thing, if you use the navigation gesture the icon text is bigger lol
For exemple, in the app drawer it will display "Chro" instead of "Chrome".
If you go back to 2 buttons navigation the display is correct.
Dont know how to fix that without tweaking dpi in dev option...
Wanted to test again the stock version but it's not very good... lol
Could you report if it has been any improvement?
I'm using it second day and RAM management is much better, phone feel more snappy then v11.0.10.0.
Problems with "customize your pixel" and "add another email account" are still present.

I can confirm that, I can see an improvement too. The fingerprint reader also works better.
Unfortunately, the transfer of USB files to the memory card is completely unstable. Sometimes I have to reset my phone to see the changes.
For me, these are the first changes since updating to Android 10. Unfortunately, many things still don't work, for example Volte.

I tried, Volte in my country stopped working since android 10 update. It worked fine on android 8 and 9. Now I have Volte in options (it's not translated...), it is active and the phone still logs to 3G while talking. Many people have complained about this on the official Xiaomi forum but it has not been corrected. The code *#*# 86583#*#* also gives nothing. In the menu *#*#4636*#*# Volte is active but the phone does not use it.

Yes. Don't expect a fix any time soon. We're only getting security fixes and that's not a security issue
Battery is draining faster since the update.
Battery seems ok to me. At least the same as before when i was using custom rom.
But i am pretty sure that my battery is dying as i cant get more than 6h of screen on time now, no matter what rom/kernel i use lol
I'm not getting any update. May it be because of unlocked bootloader? I'm still at May security update for now.
