After updating my LG Quantum to Mango, the advanced button in Wi-Fi settings does not display the + option to add Hidden SSID's.
Anyone else having this issue on Mango? Or know of a fix?
Thanks.
turn the wifi on
Same issue here on a brand-new Dell Venue Pro (16GB) activated on T-mobile prepaid last night. I did have to force it using the trick, but had never installed any version of beta on it. Doesn't matter whether WiFi is turned on or off, the + icon is not present under the Advanced screen.
I forced mine, I have the +...maybe you got a bad flash...?
Firmware update?

You should have gotten a firmware update, as well. I had 7220 and didn't have the "+" until I got the Samsung update.
LG Quantum 7 also, I did install the LG Update also after the Mango update and still no +.

Simply means LG is not enabling it on your phone. Nothing to do with Microsoft.
Wait for the update from your manufacturer. My Omnia 7 is still on old firmware that won't let me run Samsung apps.

I have the + button and can add. But I have two questions.
1.After you add how do you make it connect, becasue it doesn't accept the WEP key(don't why they ask for a password)
2. How do you specify what kind of a network it is ( e.g. WPA, WPA2 etc...)
Incomplete feature and so it fail again unfotunately.

I think I have another Mango bug... :S
Sometimes my Omnia 7 shows it's conected to a WiFi network but I can't access the internet I have to turn off and back on the WiFi more than once sometimes...
The only thing I did was enabling Internet Sharing but I did that as soon as I got Mango so don't know if it's related... Any ideas?
Thank you best regards...
It's quite possible the Wi-Fi network you are connected to does not have access to the Internet, or it only grants conditional access to the Internet and your phone doesn't meet the conditions for access.
My Omnia 7 always did that, but in 3G (wifi never had any trouble).
I have the exact same problem with my Samsung Focus Mango 7720, chevron unlocked, IS is enabled via On-Device ProvXML TOOL[MANGO] - v0.9

So i'm not alone..
I figured it was because of the FW update... But since I activeted Internet Sharing 2 or 3 days after the update I wasn't sure...
Hope the updates coming next week fix this.. If we even get them.. LOL :S
Found a possible solution...

I was directly from 10A to 10F; b to d I did not receive updates; I do not know why?
Bump. Does anybody have more information on this update?
it removes advance calling and talk/text simultaneously is gone
You have to re-enable HD calling. in my case with Verizon, I had to login to remove/add the feature. After that, HD calling was longer grayed out.

I can confirm, I had to remove the feature via verizon website. then add the feature back. rebooted phone and advance calling was not greyed out and I am able to call and use data simultaneously again
ditto...
Using the US996, enable the phone to detect CDMA/LTE first and then go to your myverizon account and disable/re-enable the advanced calling in order for it to work.
Hello,
Today I wanted to use wifi direct feature but I have noticed it is greyed out. File dash is not usable with non OnePlus phones.
Is there any way to force enable it(ADB?) or is there any solution to use wifi direct on OnePlus 7 Pro?
I am on Android Oxygen OS 10.0.1.GM21AA
Best Regards.
Ok so I found a new update on Oxygen Updater and now option is working and I can even connect to different device but I can not send or receive anything, nothing is happening when friend sends me anything and also I have no option to send anything using wifi direct...
Received the notification for Pie update yesterday morning for Sprint HTC U11. Thus far, it seems to run smoothly. However, I can't find it anywhere in the setting to turn on the mobile hotspot. Anyone is experiencing the same issue?

setting>more........ it's under that.
Thanks for the reply. With Pie, it's no longer under more in wireless and network section (at least on my phone). Weird.

Thanks for the screenshot. For some reasons, hotspot and tethering is missing on mine phone. This is so weird. I hope I don't have to do it factory reset for that to reappear.
I am experiencing the same thing. Data usage and then NFC. No Hotspot option. Sprint also.

can you access it from the pull down hot spot should be in there.
Pull down hotspot quick setting tile has disappeared too.
I downloaded the OTA, but if I'm running Bad Boyz 8.0 rom, do I have to flash a RUU first or can I install this over Bad Boyz? Its systemless root using Magisk.

if you have root and twrp installed you can't, flash the oreo ruu(which will wipe you phone)and return you to stock then you;ll recieve the ota and go from there.
best way i know, if anyone else can do better then just chime in here.

damn, that is weird, wonder why?
try updating your profile in system updates, ...????
Problem solved. Please follow the instructions below:
Dial ##72786#. Note: If the dialer does not appear, tap the Dialer icon. Tap YES. The device will restart and initiate Hands Free Activation. After the device restarts it will automatically perform Hands Free Activation. Once the activation is complete, tap OK. The device will then update the PRL. Once the update is complete, tap OK. Tap OK. The device will restart.
After restarting, hotspot and tethering setting selection reappeared.

It has been said many times in the main thread, but here are only a few (I sold it because HTC is not going to fix anything):
Cannot disable the led into do not disturb mode
Digital wellbeing is not into settings menu (you have to use the search)
Adaptative battery is not into settings menu (you have to use the search)
Battery problems (I lost 1,5h SOT)
HTC sense companion is not counting steps (I think there was a new version of the app THREE months later to fix it)
Those are which I can remember and were persistent after factory reset and even after re-flash the RUU.
As I said, I sold it two months ago and I never will buy another device from this manufacturer.
I have a sprint model that i unlocked, since the update i can't use hotspot, i tried ##72786# it just gives me a menu with 4 options that i can't change.
Is there a way for me to get hotspot back?

How do i do it?
I don't have a sprint sim card
Hi Everyone,
I bought an unlocked OnePlus 7 PRO 5G online (Sprint GM1925), and using in Canada Telus carrier.
I just have 1 small issue. I notice when I switch from Android 9 (Default) -> Android 10 (April Update).
When the phone starts up from cold-boot, I get the following screen:
Configuring your device
Please wait
followed by:
Profile Update failed
The Device Configuration Has Failed
Contact Support (lower-right corner button)
Clicking on 'Contact Support' bring me to phone screen with '*611' listed.
If I ignore this on startup, the rest of phone functionalities (Wifi, Phone call, install/uninstall apps, ....) has no issues at all.
Has anyone else experience this, or know how to solve this?
i to get this error and wonder if you eventually found a fix? just did the new update Oct 2020 10.0.5.gm25cc.
Got the exact same situation like you. With same context although i am videotron canada and i was going from 10.0 to April update

I have the same issue only my phone won't do data roaming because of it i believe? it's been a minute anyone find a solution?
My One plus 7 Pro 5G works fully unlocked on MINT mobile except it won't do data roaming and i believe it has something to do with the profile update error not being able to complete.
someone ... anyone got a solution?
