[HELP] Honor 6+ UL00 - Bricked - Honor 6, 6 Plus Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
today I got a new Honor 6+ UL00 from China.
I wanted to upgrade the system via ota, but it didn't found any updates (4.4).
So I wanted to upgrade it manually and at the same change the system to european.
long story short:
BOOTLOADER
bootloader - already unlocked (~~~ only boot, cust, system, recovery, data & userdata flashable)
flashed cwm_en (from http://www50.zippyshare.com/v/fMf6BCWv/file.html - Huawei Honor 6 Plus Root Tutorial by Annie Y - #7 Post)
CWM
made backup
flashed superuser
SYSTEM
downloaded oeminfo (as backup from /dev/block/platform/ff1fe000.dwmmc0/by-name/oeminfo)
[I forget to patch the european oeminfo -.-]
CWM
flashed update.zip ( honor 6 plus b571 marshmallow firmware [europe] )
[failed to mount emc]
restarted
\-> Bootloop
After the bootloop occured I tried to get again into the recovery, but strangely it didn't work (normally continues bootloop).
After some testing&searching I found a working TWRP ( https://twrp.me/devices/huaweihonor6.html ).
At last I also tried flashing the hopefully original .img from ( http://emui.huawei.com/plugin/hwdownload/detail?modelId=127 - B200) extracted via Huawei Update Extractor, but the bootloop still continues and I can't load the original stock recovery (nether from stock nor from cwm-backup).

....I just noticed, that TWRP now only mounts ~4GB internal storage instead of ~8+ -.-'
I hope that I didn't destroy the emmc.
I hope someone can help me to fix this problem.
------------------------------------------------------------
The system runs again after replacng the update.app in the update.zip with die updte.app from the chin. Stockfirmware and flashing the result.
But the problem with the smaller internal storage still remains -.-'

The storage could be due to you flashing the EU ROM and it is added onto the China one. Factory reset and restore backup or flash stock ROM might fix?

Thanks jkccl9,
factory reset fixed the problem

for ling time ago, I also desire to flash EU ROM on my PE-UL00 , but I am sure it will brick the device, so I managed to avoid head pains and I stayed still. Thanks for sharing your experience . But, I guess, you were so close to finnish the flashing right ...maybe next time you'll do it fine.

I managed to mess up my H60-L04 again.

Hey, I've tried to fix this for almost 48 hours now, I have been trying to resolve the issue by doing a bunch of things that I've been told. I tried to install a fresh H60-L02, L01, L04 , L12 kernel but nothing is working.
Every time I'm flashing System.IMG , Recovery.IMG and the rest of the IMGs it ends up being stuck in a bootloop.
I'm not stuck on H60-L01 with emui 2,3 version.. And my phone was originally L04 version with the newest 2,3 emui.
All this began when i couldn't update to the new 3.0 emui version, so now I'm lost and have no solution for this, is there anyone that have had this problem before and could assist me?
Best regards
Thomas

Download the full 3.0 Rom from here:
http://d-h.st/qErv
Extract the following with HuaweiUpdateExtractor and flash them via adb/fastboot:
boot, recovery, cust, system, cache and userdata
That's what I've done. but now my problem is it isn't displaying the correct internal sd size! Hopefully you don't get that issue...

Bricked Honor 6x, no OS, no Custom Recovery

So, the thing is im pretty new here.
I had Marshmallow on my 6x, i had TWRP, then I performed a wipe of every partition (except of Micro SDcard) and installed Resurrection Remix.
It was installed, there was a little Problem, so i wanted to go back to the Stock Firmware.
I wiped it again, and installed the first one of the update.app's (from http://www.stechguide.com/update-honor-6x-to-android-nougat/ ) via dload Method.
Then the second update.app was installed via dload Method. I wanted to reboot the device, but now it doesn't boot into Nougat. Instead it boots to eRecovery.
And now I'm stuck here, no OS and no TWRP (problably got removed by first Nougat update.app)
So is there any way I can install a new OS? or maybe wipe the system partition for a clean start?
THX in advance,
-Paul

Dload method is your friend
yes it helped me a lot of thanks to @shashank1320
he given his valuable time and personally assisted me on telegram
what is the ultimate solution of all type of brick is dload method
many people says it works with internal storage ,works with twrp intstalled need to put this or this file into dload folder etc etc
my experience is this
NONE OS METHOD WORKING NEITHER FASTBOOT FLASHING ANYTHING NOR TWRP RESTORING BACKUP OR FLASHING ANYTHING
FINALLY I TRIED DLOAD METHODS BUT IT DIDNT WORKED AT THAT TIME
MISTAKE WHAT I WAS MAKING WAS THAT I WAS USING FIRMWARE WHICH WAS ON OFFICIAL SITE OF HUAWEI
LATER @shashank1320
GUIDED ME TO DOWNLOAD THE FIRMWARE EXACTLY SIMILAR TO MY PHONES FIRMWARE THIS IS MUST IT SHOULD MATCH WITH YOU FIRMWARE
THEN PUT ALL THE FILES UNDER DLOAD FOLDER(THERE WERE 4 FILES)
SOME SAYS JUST PUT UPDATE.APP BUT FORM ME IT DID NOT WORKED SO I PUTTED ALL 4 FILES UNDER DLOAD FOLDER CLEANED ALL OTHER FOLDERS,FILES FROM MY SD CARD THERE WERE ONLY DLOAD FOLDER
SO I SHUT DOWN PHONE THEN PRESSD ALL THREE BUTTONS TOGETHER(POWER +VOL UP + VOL DOWN) AND AFTER STUCKING ON HONOR SCREEN FOR 5 6 MINUTES ITS STARTED FLASHING
AND I GOT MY PHONE WORKING AGAIN
HOWEVER MY BOOTLOADER AND FRP IS STILL UNLOCKED
TWRP IS STILL THERE I DONT HAVE STOCK RECOVERY AND BUILD NUMBER IS NRD90M TEST KEYS
BUT IT DONT MATTER FOR ME NOW
THANKS @shashank1320 @RedSkull23
BOTTOM LINE IS DLOAD METHOD IS ULTIMATE SOLUTION IF YOU DO IT CORRECTLY.

Hi , would you please tell me how can I "reboot and install again" ?
Since the touch screen is not working , I restart the phone by pressing the power key a few second . Restart the whole process for more then 10 times but the touch screen is still not working .
ASUS messed up the touch screen by updating the firmware nearly in every version, I suggest you upgrade to the newest ROM and flash twrp again. For reboot just issue ' adb reboot ' ..
May I know your firmware version ?

Hi , thank you for your suggestion .
I can't get the firmware version in the hardware information section , so I bet the software version will work as well ? Actually , I just updated my phone few days ago , so I think I'm already in the latest version .
( maybe this one ? )
After entered the TWRP , no matter ADB or Fastboot has no response , so the only way to reboot is to press the power key for about 10 seconds .

If still on TWRP recovery copy the full ROM (downloaded from ASUS, do not unzip, just copy the zip) to a SD card or to internal memory of the phone, reset to factory from within TWRP and perform an install. Worked for me. First boot takes ages

Well , I've tried this at the very beginning , but no luck . Seems the recovery is corrupted and keep stuck in it .
Finally , got a .img reocvery image , flash it via TWRP and the system resumes normal , at least it is working for me now .
Hello everyone,

Hello everyone,
I installed the twrp on my Asus Zenfone 4 (ZE554K -WW_14.1050.1708.36). I tried to root it, but no success... After several tries, I just gave up and now I'm trying to get the stock recovery. I couldn't find the stock recovery.img on "google" for this model. Is there any way to remove the twrp from this model of phone and some way to get stock recovery.img ? I tried to download the firmwares from official site, but I couldn't find the recovery.img inside zip files.
Thanks in advance.!

I just use the above TWRP, just can use it to install Magisk to get root.
This cannot backup data...
(Therefore suggest just boot off the custom recovery TWRP without installing it until a new version release)

Thanks again for your suggestions.
I was on 14.1060.1709.80 version of ROM with the TWRP 3.1.1 (2017.10.11).
Somehow I've managed to update to the latest 15.0405.1801.89 stock, and then flashed TWRP 3.2.1 from the @shakalaca Medium blog, so the credit goes to him anyway.
Seems like it works just fine, I successfully did a nandroid backup and flashed the latest Magisk version.
P.S.: Unfortunately I can't post external links, so either you find it yourself or the author would post the link in this thread.

Thanks! Good news for about TWRP 3.2.1 !!!
Then I searched in Google and found a web site: Android Infotech
then download the TWRP 3.2.1 version and tested,
it can use the sd card and also can read the data!
Therefore it can use to backup!

Sorry for delaying on reply and thank you so much for helping !
Next day, after I posted here, I searched a bit more and found a link with some recovery files.
Unfortunally I can't post the link cause I'm new user, but it's a Stock Recovery from shakalaca, on androidfilehost.com (thanks to him).
Then I got the stock ROM and everything gone ok. Then I updated to Oreo and now I'm trying to troubleshoot an usb file transfer issue. Another long history...
Is it safe to do this? I am with ZE554KL and a week, and I want to do root, but I am afraid and doubt, if someone can tell me if it is safe, I am grateful.

é seguro fazer esse procedimento? estou com o ZE554KL e uma semana, e quero fazer root, mas tenho medo e duvidas, se alguem puder me afirmar se é seguro, fico agradecido.
Any way to un-unlock the phone? I unlocked the phone and never had any luck booting into twrp. Ended up in a boot loop (fixed) so just going to give up on it for now before i brick it. I see no point in leaving it unlocked

It is safe to root the device , however , please make sure ALL your data already backup .
I'm not sure if it is due to the new android file system or not , but my storage is totally wiped out after I root the device . it's not happened for my previous android phone .
Just my 2 cents .

Honor 8 Hard Brick

Hi World,
So, i've tried to go back into a stock rom after dealing with serious problems with a bad flash on TWRP, i've gone from EMUI to LineageOS then tried to go back into stock.
i flashed :
System.img
Cust.img
Boot.img
and Recovery.img
from the Duke-L09I_C675B130.rar i saw on XDA.
problem is i can't perform a factory reset neither wipe the cache partition and every time i try to do the Dload method it stops and doesn't move at 5% the there is a "!" in the middle of the circle.
my phone is an FRD-L09 and im in france so if somebody can help me, your welcome.
Have a nice day !

Have you tried flashing the rollback to marshmallow package via dload? If it works, then you have to flash the marshmallow software, both the rollback and the software can be found on honor support webpage, once you flash the marshmallow package it should boot up and you are free to update back to nougat if you want.

[NEED HELP] Unbrick Honor 6x

I've somehow bricked my 6X.
I have an EU version successfully debranded to India variant BLN-L22 and upgraded to EMUI 8.0, unencrypted and rooted with Magisk.
Something went wrong during the flash of AEX for hi6250 devices (which is reported to be 6X compatible ): I was mainly stuck in a bootloop except for two times when the phone booted, but internal storage wasn't recognized properly (in settings I was able to see the correct percentage of available space but in default file manager I wasn't able to access it and also downloading files to internal storage was impossible, as if my it was full - which isn't true since I was able to move file there through TWRP file manager).
At that point I was pretty pissed, I've forced fastboot and used update.bat to flash stock Oreo again and here things screwed up.
I took a full TWRP backup before experimenting with AEX and copied it to my pc; I'm able to push it to internal storage through adb, but then TWRP isn't able to restore it, dunno why.
My phone is in these condition now:
fastboot is available, commands from pc are working here
bootloader is unlocked
FRP is unlocked
I have a working TWRP recovery (askuccio 3.2.3) which I can access and use; I'm able to replace it with Elemental 3.2.1, with the one provided in the "update.bat" thread (which is another 3.2.1 version) or with stock recovery
if I replace TWRP with stock recovery and boot into it, it shows the update screen and it freeze at 5%, then reboot; no factory reset option there
when I'm into TWRP I can push files from pc to internal memory through adb
pretty sure my phone is still decrypted, dunno if it's still rooted tho
eRecovery is gone
I have no idea how eRecovery gone missing since I never touched that partition; trying to flash ERECOVERY_RAMDISK.img through fastboot using "fastboot flash erecovery_ramdisk erecovery_ramdisk.img" which fails (remote: command not allowed) and "fastboot flash recovery2 erecovery_ramdisk.img" which fails (remote: partition length get error) as well as through Multi Tool (the size or path does not match the file system markup); if I try to boot into eRecovery I get error mode screen: Func NO : 11 (recovery image) Error No : 2 (load failed) and I have no idea how to try to restore it in another way (pretty sure all I need is to factory reset through it and then reflash the firmware for unbrick my phone).
Atm I've tried only Multi Tool: I can successfully flash everything in the unbrick section but it doesn't solve my problem (guess it's due to my missing eRecovery).
I still need to try Image Download method (which I would like to keep it as last resource since it requires to disassemble my device and since I have a working fastboot and TWRP), HuRu and dload (I don't have a micro SD big enough atm, only 2GB - dunno if it can can work from internal storage the same).
Thank you for any help.

I would say the safest option you have is to restore to Nougat via dloading the b340 image which you might have used for debranding. You should be able to restore easily.

How do I do that?
I mean, flash OEMINFO and Custom Bin and then dload method as per debranding guide or HWOTA7, since I'm on Oreo/Emui8 now?
You already debrnaded to Indian version and then updated to Oreo right?

Exactly. I was on BLN-L21 Nougat (EU), debranded to BLN-L22 (Indian) through fast method (flash oem and cust bin, dload, update through system update) and then upgraded to Oreo through HWOTA8_BLN - script method.
Multi Tool list my device as BLN-L22 8.0.0.510(C675).
Just dload b340 indian variant. You should be fine
I restored my device countless times with HuRUpdater, the best tool I used on Huawei devices. It always go fine, but a microSD of at least 3GB is required (files to flash are usually 2,70GB). Probably the device won't boot with stock recovery because as you pointed out, it needs to format first before booting since that you was decrypted. HuRUpdater needs to be executed from microSD because it flashes files from there to internal storage, so flashing from there isn't allowed due obvious reasons.
Looks like you'll need to dload, as my friend Shashank1320 said. You need to start again with a fully working system before going elsewhere and at the moment things look bad. The rest is always obtainable again (TWRP, ecc.)

dload doesn't work, I guess it's because I miss eRecovery.
If I hold vol+ vol- and power my phone boot into TWRP; I've tried replacing it with stock recovery but it freeze at 5%.
Any way to flash eRecovery from fastboot or as a zip from TWRP?
Gonna get a SD and for HuRu if I won't be able to solve it differently.
Edit: managed to boot into dload screen, but it states "software install failed".

That message is because the package you picked is wrong. What was your build number, BLNL22C636B510CUST..? (Don't remember if this is the build of first Indian Oreo build dated June/July 2018)

I'm not sure since I don't have my device at hand atm: yesterday I got a 16GB SD and tried with HuRU but without success (trying to flash the zip returned me an error with every version of the package), so I contacted the assistance since I still have some months of warranty. I've tried to restore it as stock as possible before handling them the phone so I hope they won't make me trouble and fix it
Anyway I've always used firmware provided by shashank, both to debrand to indian variant and to upgrade to Oreo, so you may recover build number from those threads for scientific purposes!

For me HuRUpdater never failed a shot, you just have to choose the correct build and rename the zips as per instructions in OP. Usually the zips are three, by the way. "BLN-L22HNC675CUSTC675D1B510 (8.0.0.510)" is the correct build number for Oreo India, if you use HuRU with the three zips included in this build the successful flash is guaranteed (done it personally many, many times).
Now, if you contacted assistance and you can take advantage of remaining months of warranty wait and see what they say. Good luck!
Reflash EMUI 8 with Hwota 8, but first wipe data partition with TWRP.

Wait: wiping /data with TWRP makes it visible through custom recoveries since that it removes encryption, but when you flash whole EMUI 8 on system stock recovery_ramdisk is reflashed on the recovery partition too, and it forces to reformat /data before booting because if not it'll say that OS is seriously corrupted bla bla bla... EMUI 8 doesn't have to run encrypted?
By the way HuRU is faster, easier and leaves bootloader unlocked.

Nope: don't get me wrong, but I'm here since 2012 and I'm pretty used to this kind of stuff.
I can assure you I haven't picked wrong packages nor any other noobish error: in fact I wouldn't even had to post here if I had encountered just some standard problem lol... my device wasn't fixable through usual ways, or else I would have been able to

Just heard back from assistance and they are waiting for a new motherboard since there was nothing to do, good to me I was still covered by warranty.
Now it would be nice to know what screwed up my device so bad, since I hadn't any problem till the flash of AEX for hi6250 devices (so 6X compatible) and even in the case it wasn't flashing a wrong rom has never fked up a motherboard in my experience, but whatever.
My only trouble is I'm pretty sure I won't be able to unlock bootloader when my phone will be back, now
Also, thank you to everyone who tried to help!
try this
i had issues also until i found this step by step, i named everything just as he has pictured and made sure to just add the .zips all 3 needed, got correct FW from FW finder and also be sure to put the actual HuRuUpdater.zip in the same folder with the FW files and name the parent folder just like the pic on post shows...poof working stock FW and did not relock my BL....Honor 8 FRD-L04 reverted from no OS to stock 7.0 on EMUI 5 https://www.getdroidtips.com/hurupdater-tool/#comment-109621
