3800Mah replacement battery - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note5

Was tempted to grab one of these, has anyone ordered one yet? Thoughts?
http://m.ebay.com/itm/192028794956?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368

Yes. Its only 2100 mah

I did, the battery was actually smaller than stock. Also the connector piece to the board was a bit short. Didn't give enough so the connector was popping off easily. Could have put in and taken the chance of it coming off but just decided to go back to new ORM battery. I just rooted and flashed new kernel. Battery life has been pretty good.

And u battery life is pretty good due to maybe new cells vs old and drained. My stock oem battery degraded to 2100mah...this battery last longer of course even though same mah

Don't do it - it is literally impossible to stick so much capacity in a battery for the DHD. There are tons of fake batteries on eBay. The easiest way to confirm they're fake is the rating
If you really want high capacity, the only option is the Mugen battery (1500mah), check the threads in this section.
Alternatively, try custom ROMs, since that will reduce battery consumption
Please try and stay away from those "business" or "gold" battery, I had the misfortune of getting one of those a couple months ago, the battery last quite long initially, but after 3-4 cycles they lost about 80% of their runtime, tried to get a refund but it was some shady ebay vendor, don't bother with any of those batteries, not worth the trouble, not to mention any potential damage they might do to your DHD due to their shoddy construction and circuitry
Yeah, I agree. If Mugen can't double the capacity without doubling the battery thickness - it probably can't be done. Last time I doubled the battery capacity, the battery was double the thickness.
The battery was excellent though and made by Mugen.(They even sent me 2 battery covers.)
Example for Toshiba G900: (Click for larger images)
I have one of them gold battery. Does not show real temperature stay on 24°C all time. Run time like on original. I wouldn't recommend it..
I got one, stock battery has more power, poor substitute
If I set myself up as an Ebay seller, with a 2650mAh Gold DHD battery for $15, will you buy it?
Or will I need to drop the price a bit?

Good one
Sad and annoying
the battery lasting one day is ferly sad and annoying. I was talking about batteries that claim they have extra amps but unfortunetley they are 99% rip-off's if they are the same size.... the only solution is a external battery case pack...
a bad solution but at least some solution

In my opinion we know very well how we use our phones. The battery consumption varies from user to user, from rom to rom and from location to location. So.... i think only same user with same rom in same location can see and feel the difference.
My experience till now with this battery is very satisfactory. I think is at least 40% better than the stock one. The things i think about now is the life cycle of it.

Quite old thread
Unfortunately until a new type of battery is presented the lithium ion batteries can't exceed 1300mAh for this tiny space we have. So anything above 1300mAh is fake
P.S. I wish there was some sort of control so they don't lie SO much and if they went that road someone could sue them according to some law
So is the physical limit around 1300? Beacuse I read 1600 in some other threads here.
Thanks!

Anker 2800mAh and GTMax 3500 mAh Batteries - my observations

I got a new battery, extended battery to be precise, from Amazon. I felt it was a good deal $12.99 + Free Shipping and ordered it. I got it in 3 days after placing order.
First battery observations:
Anker 2800mAh Extended Battery and Back Door for Samsung Infuse 4G, I997 - White [With a Free Card Reader]
I was kinda skeptical on how it would fare.
I popped the battery in my phone, put it on charge to 100%. And took it off.
After about 24 hours off the charger, here are the stats:
1. Standby: ~24 hours
2. Display: ~2 hours
3. Calls: ~2 hours
4. GPS: ~15 minutes
5. Brightness: 50% of time on auto, rest of the time at ~12%
Current battery level: ~52%
I will update this post with new observations when the battery comes down to 5%.
Note: This is still the first cycle since I got the battery. I think battery life will increase slightly after a couple of cycles.
============================================================
Second battery observations:
GTMax High Capacity Extended Replacement Battery (3500mAh) observations
Observations at ~50%
Observations at ~50%
Observations at ~2%
Observations at ~2%
Standby: 1 day 23 hours 8 mins 8 secs
Voice calls: 2 hours 32 mins 18 secs
Display on: 6 hours 8 mins 4 secs
Display was at 12% for ~1 hour of display, and rest of the time in auto.
Note: There are some minor "ups" in the graph. Looks like battery is setting itself now. See the charging component below, its not on charge the whole of the time. Maybe once the battery calibrates itself, it will all flatten out. Also note that this this the first discharge cycle of this battery.
I got the 2 pack of 1800mah batteries and they get an average if 17-19 hours of usage, they're great in my opinion. I wish they had this option when I was looking for batteries. Is it a Sim battery or does it need a new back plate?

Its about 1.5 days plus on standby, with about 3 hours display and 3 hours calls, and battery is at about 35%. Pretty good so far, I must say.

When I held it for the first time, it felt a little heavier, but that's expected. Been using since I got it, and hardly feel any difference now. Only thing is, I can't use my existing phone cases anymore.

I've had this one for quite some time. Real good battery. Downsides are the lack of case. Since I rooted and loaded the Zeus rom, battery life has improved dramatically. So the extended battery is less of a need for me. I get over 12 hours on a single charge easily. Someday I'll have to pop this puppy back in and get some numbers to post.

Question about battery choices

I have an AT&T Note 4 and need to figure out a battery option. My current battery is showing signs of dying.
1) Replace with OEM Samsung: Keep the current one as a back up.
2) Buy the Anker deal with 2 batteries and charger: Basically just rotate all three batteries through usage. I'd have to get a new case that was easier to take off to swap batteries consistently.
3) Buy a bigger/extended life battery and deal with the fact that my percentage indicator will never be accurate. (Unless I can temp root to calibrate??)
Thoughts? I'll probably keep this phone AT LEAST until the end of this year.

Ill be totally honest with you, i have tried all three options
And picked up a ibestwin 10000mah battery half the price of the zerolemon
Very impressed im on around 10hours sot from 6am this morning its now past midnight. Phone is saying still 25percent
I reckom there all the same batteries basically 3 standed batterys in one case...
The case isnt as good as the zerolemom but its sleeker and slimmer.
Anker have a good write up but its just a pain waiting for your battery to die etc
Let me know what you do...
Im llcurrently looking for a way to calibrate my battery.
The app on here is for exynos only

I'm reading all sorts of mixed messages about calibrating battery. Some people say that cycling will calibrate. I've had the Anker before and cycled it multiple times and in now way was I getting the correct %. I could go to 50%, reboot and get back to 65%. Go down to 10%, reboot, and go back to 30%.
Is battery calibration, while stock, a myth?
I think that's rubbish too but I can guarantee you the cheapest zero lemon battery I mention will last you all day
There is a zerolemon full gauge fix, i can post the link if you wsnant. Its also for other 10.000mah batterys and seems mostly accurate, changes the capacity for the phone that it will think the real mah or something like that. Its implented in custom kernels like the emotion kernel give it a try, nothing to lost if your phone is rooted. I have used a 6440mah seidio an the "battery widget" app worked for me to be accurate, its also in the
3c toolbox, try it if you want, dont know if this function need root :s

Battery Experiment

This battery i ordered cost 8 dollars and is 3800 mah plus free shipping. The "stock oem" cost the same and is 3000 mah
Decided 2 test 2 more. The 4000 is from china. Oem is from china also. I will use 2 different apps to test thes3 batteries also
The whole reason is this. I noticed my phone taking a bit longer to charge now and battery draining faster. Its been a year since i got the phone
I did a 97% fast charge and this is how much energy i got
so i had no luck removing the glass with a sucction cup following this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j23exUFwslw
but i was able to replace the battery. discharing now to test true mAh. if its not 3800 like gold promised i will open ebay case
And i turned up brightness and gps. Kinda hard to drain now compared to stock battery
So testinf the gold i got these results. I did battery repair and calacration. First thing i noticed right away is the battery is lastinf a lot longer
Ouch. RIP back glass. We may all have to eventually try to replace the battery so any tips on where you went wrong on the back would be helpful too. Glad to see the battery worked and is at rated specs. They are often lower than the specs written on the battery.

If you ever have to open the back of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 again to replace the battery or anything else first buy a heating gun and a laser temperature gage and then heat the back edges of the glass up(not in the center) to about 190-200 degrees Fahrenheit but do not exceed 212 degrees Fahrenheit and always keep it in motion don't ever stop and just direct the heat into 1 spot because it'll burn easily since most of them start at 500 Fahrenheit and go all the way to 1000 Fahrenheit.. after heating the glue around the edges up use your pry tools and playing cards to slowly push them through the glue and if you have to heat it up again which you probably will just do it... The 1 major thing needed for this job is patience and work slowly.. There's no need to rush!

Can I ask how that 4000 mAh battery from China worked out for you? Was it better than the original and does fast charge still work with it?
First clear up. The gold 3800 for 7.89 isnt 3800. It tested out at 2100. I got 4 dollar refund because its 55% less what promised. But im usint it right now because it last longer than my stock battery. My stock also measured at 2100 due to degradetion. But this gold battery discharges a lot slower. The 3200 battery shouls be here friday and the 4000 battery from china should be here around 20 days. And i just got a regular hair dryer, was afarid of over heating so i cut a small hole and forced the flat head in cracking everything. An oem reppacement is 15 dollars, but a generic with no galaxy note 5 on it cost around 8. Also what is the point of the glass back if the phone is kept in a case the whole time
And i recalabrated the battery twice. That fixed the surprise battery %. Where you get to 0 and turn on phone its 15% or where it says 98% and jumped to 80%. Calabrating fixed it and yes fast charge is working normal

I seen the same one in mine too.. What I'm interested in is a battery that's going to last longer than the 3,000mAh one did.
The 3200 battery arrived and is installed. It came with 70% charged. Gonna calabrate it and then discharge to 0 to do the mah charging test
Promises 5 hour screen time. Already noticing its taking longer to go from 100 to 99 and still stuck at 99
Didnt charge yet, but 2 early to tell. So far this battery seems note 3200 either but few more discharges to see if anything changes

My Note 5 3,000mAh battery is currently at 82% charge and says 5 hours SOT left. I usually do get between 7 and 9 hours SOT with all of my settings the way they are and nothing is running that shouldn't be and all carrier junk is removed or disabled! I would be curious to see what a 4,000mAh would do with my settings..
Ok this 3200 battery discharged 2800mah. Maybe it will go up to 3200 after 5 discharges like it says but right now another battery as not advertised. Waiting on the 4000 from china

This is kind of why I hate crap from China because they advertise 4000mAh and in reality it's only a 2800 or 3000 just wrapped up in a different way to make it seem better.. I think the 4000 is just going to be junk too.

Extended battery 11800MAH for the NOTE 4

Hi everyone,
i just wanted to share my experience with a battery from TQTHL built with the latest 2017 battery technology.
it's the most powerful battery i've ever seen for the note 4, insane 11800mah and when i tested it i got 12130MAH out of that battery so even more than the claimed 11800mah.
i tried the zerolemom 10000mah and the hyperion 9600mah but so far this is the best battery i've tested.
the battery comes with NFC and a good case cover...
just google TQTHL 11800mah or you can see a youtube video testing too
UPDATE 10/08/2017
check post 30 below for screenshots and insane battery settings

I actually just got that battery. Can you please walk me through your settings?
@aminofgodseeker I'm currently on the MoDestRom v9 ROM, and am using the ZeroLemon battery. I'm on my second ZeroLemon, as my first one seemed to not be charging/discharging correctly any longer. I bought it maybe a month and a half ago and I recently just discovered this battery. Wish I had waited.
My ZeroLemon battery, I've drained it to 0% while on this ROM, and the ROM author had released a kernel that supports the ZeroLemon battery. It seems to calibrate well, as there are no 1% issues. I wouldn't know if the same setup would work for this higher capacity or not.
To give you an idea of how well my ZeroLemon battery worked one day, I essentially unplugged my phone at 7:30 am, used it more or less for 4 hours just searching the internet and then playing offline games while i was on a 2 hour plane ride, and then using it for another 5 hours for a car triip (with Google Maps). 15 hours later of extremely heavy usage, full screen brightness, not being plugged into power, I was down to 21%. I doubt a stock battery can handle that. Not only that, prior to the Verizon variant being unlocked, I'm pretty sure I would've gotten to 3% much sooner, had to deal with the dimming, and I would've survived on 1% for a very long time.
So maybe give that ROM a shot if you have this battery and see what you think. I'm sure if there was enough interest, if necessary, the author would modify his kernel to work with this battery.
Beware This battery doesnt have the NFC chip. My battery is going back to Amazon.
Does anyone know of a reseller who will ship to Australia? Everyone I've found so far seems to be US-only and my Zerolemon is dangerously bulging!
I'm very curious about this battery. Can that has this battery tell me, how loose the charging cable connector is when using this battery? I'm on the ZeroLemon battery at the moment, and while the battery works fine, the charging port isn't very secure, as the insides are wobbly.

There is no reason for the battery to have any effect on the USB socket of your phone. I also have the Zerolemon battery on my Note4. The case that comes with this battery gives you full access to the charging port without any obstructions.

With your ZeroLemon vs the stock battery, is the charging port more loose?

Like I said before, there is no effect on the charging socket of your phone when using one of these batteries with their case. It is impossible for the battery to cause your charging port to feel or become loose. Something else is wrong with your phone. It's not the battery.
Can somebody else test the NFC in the battery?
