Hello guys,
Here is the problem in a nutshell. Rogers Nexus 5, unmodified. Stock ROM. Working 100% normal until yesterday. No kind of water or physical damage at all. Just died. Does not power on. Nothing shows on display. Does not charge. Totally unresponsive.
The only response I get is that when plugged into the wall charge and power button is held long, it vibrates every 7 seconds. If unplugged, no vibration whatsoever. Also when plugged into the PC, it is detected by Windows but only as portable media player which is completely empty when double clicked.
Do I simply need a new battery? I am baffled. Please help!
When you connect the phone to a wall charger, does the led blink red or us there nothing?
Absolutely nothing happens. No LED light, no Google logo on display, nothing.
It may be a dead or defective battery. Only way to really trouble shoot would be to replace the battery to see if that solves the problem.
Taking the phone apart is quite easy.
I replaced the battery but still nothing. It only vibrates when power button is pressed long.
No other response, LED or display whatsoever.
The phone was never modified or damaged in anyway. Please help!
To help diagnose the problem, having another Nexus 5 would help a great deal. If you swap your motherboard into a working phone and things work as normal after the swap, you know it is not the motherboard that is bad.
Hello.
After falling to the ground with my S6 in my pocket I noticed it was off. At that time I thought I just ran out of battery even tho it didn't show the zero battery logo. After plugging the phone the battery logo showed and it started going from 0 to 94/95 in a matter of seconds (like 5% per second). I turned the phone on, it charged normally from 94 to 100 and after unplugging the charger the power was cut - immediately turned off.
It does this every time I plug it in: "charges" stupidly fast to 94%, turns ON and works normally until I disconnect the charger.
Do you guys know what the problem is? I find odd if the battery is dead because it went In for service 3 or 4 months ago and they replaced almost everything except screen, camera, back panel and frame. I would send it again to service but I rooted it so Knox is cracked.
Maybe because of the fall I took the battery cable was disconnected?
Thanks
Certainly sounds like a hardware issue because of the drop it took. Now it is charging but obviously erratically, could be the charging daughter board or the ic that needs replacing. Either way it needs to go in for repair, id try and get some quotes

I just find it weird because the phone was in my pocket when I fell to the ground. I see all the time S6's with cracked screens almost destroyed but working well. My S6 has no external damage.

The only way you'll know for sure if this is not a software issue is to factory reset or flash Stock firmware, it very well could a connection has come lose or some sort of damage to the charging part of board if you continue to have issues.
Sent to repair and they replaced the battery. Since I live in Europe Knox 0x1 wasn't an issue.
Hi everyone,
I'm having a big problem on my Xiaomi MI4C; When I powered it on its shows the logo and immediately powers off. I don't of if it is a problem of software or something else. Note that a few months ago the phone fall down and the screen cracked and part of the screen was not working but I was able to use it. I also noticed a few days ago that the screen started flickering and the phone and the phone restarted when that happen. I ignored the problem as it happened rarely but now it only shows its logo and powers off. Can you please tell if it's the screen the problem or a software issue or even a battery problem. Please help me out because I need to repair the phone urgently. Contact me on [email protected]

Hi, here is a battery test:
- turn the phone off
- connect it to a quality 2A charger via a short (<1m), thick, quality USB cable
- turn it on (while still connected to the charger)
If your Mi4C starts OK now then the battery is 100% bad.

Hello guys,
I had my Nexus 5 six years ago and it worked fine till the past 2 years, I had to change the screen, battery and the flex cable. I changed the battery two times before but I had to change the screen with digitizer because it had some damages.
After replacing all these stuff the phone won't boot and when plugging it into a charger it blinks for ~5 times Red LED then stops and nothing happens.
I think it might be motherboard problem but I want to check, I also tried to reach any repairshop but they keep telling me they no longer supporting the mentainance of this mobile phone and no one in Egypt would fix it.
I am really miserable but this phone means a lot to me, anyone could help me figure what is exaclty the problem??
Thanks

Are you sure the battery isn't dead? that blinking red led it typical of a dead or empty battery, try leaving it to charge for a while

Thanks @GriGiu for your response.
Yes, I know that the red LED is an indicator for a dead battery, but only if the red blinking keeps going it just keeps blinking 5 or 6 times then silence without any further actions.
I tried also to replace it with 3 other battries and the results are the same, I think maybe if we have a charging circuit on the motherboard it might be damaged but how can I make sure of this???
While working with no problems the night prior, the device refuses to charge, or power on after auto power off. I don't know what to do with a brick. Is this an issue with the model? Like is there anyone else with a similar problem?? And what may have caused this? Battery un-plug, or a motherboard malfuntion. The device was 2 weeks old and was not dropped, was not in the presence of moisture above weather, was never splashed. So I really don't know what's up.
