One of the issues I have with my current phone (Xperia Z5) is heat, which is probably common to all Z5 users. The phone would get too hot sometimes and the battery then drains pretty quickly.
To put it simply, how hot does this phone (XZ) get?

I haven't noticed it getting too hot till now, it does get warm with too much of heavy usage but nothing noticeable or alarming, Sony has done a good job with the thermals of this device.
Forget about heat, the way the 820 is placed in the XZ allows excellent heat management.
I have no issues. Still cold or Little warm never Hot.

Hello I have noticed with the new update my phone heats up a lot during normal use.
This never happened with the 4.4.2 nor the 4.4.3
Is this an issue that many have dealth with? And will Google address this as well?
by the way Im on stock
Heat is normal. If you feel as though it is abnormally hot you should download GSAM or another app which measures temp and post your results.

Could it just be warm weather? Even when idle, the phone can never be cooler than the ambient temperature around it.
Somewhat normal. Custom kernel's can help...
Its Normal, all high middle models of smartphones getting heat temp, if temp is to high CPU thermal throttling cut down actual frequency

SO I was wondering how long does it takes for xperia z3 dual to get warm or hot without using camera app ?
hi friends. i found this app on xda forum(apps and games) and i am very happy with this great app, because z1c dont have "double tap".. oh god, my english
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2227516
Very fine app but it costs about 7-10% of battery on phone so if you don't need extra 10% battery is right for you for me I can live with power button in my Z1c and I need 10% of my battery extremely but very nice idea with this app

With gravity you can have double tap ?
Using Gravity Screen for a while now. Battery usage is not that high for me though (3-5%). It depends on how often you lock/unlock/check your phone. Also it might depend on a setting inside the app "unlock by motion" timeout (less time= less battery usage). Overall I like the app very much.
Hi,
Happy XMas to everybody!
Got to see a Z5 Compact yesterday in a shop. Really interested in this device.
Could somebody tell me if STAMINA mode with performance restrictions option enabled reduce the heat issues?
I can live with less CPU power, but heat is a little bit of a problem, as I will get a case for the phone, and heat will dissipate less favorably.
MF
Edit: heat issues in camera/video mode is a not a concern as I won't shoot for more than 1 or 2 minutes. Talking about web surfing and games mostly here.

You will need an aluminum case for any of Z5 model.
Iam thinking to buy xperia z5
I don't experience any heat problems
Sent from my Xperia™ Z5 using Tapatalk
I received the xperia z5 1 month ago. First i had a z3 compact with snapdragon 801. I have noted some heat differences. It's true that the z5 is an hot device, but not so much as you think. The most important problem is the battery... 1 day of normal use. With z3c i was having 2 days in normal usage.
Sorry for my bad english, never studied it.
That's right, I have no heating issues, but the battery could do better.
I have heating issue when play any game above 300mb it heat like heater so not able to play any good game but sometimes it dont heat while playing games like asphalt 8
I think its heat related to cores when shift
I experienced some pretty bad heat problems, the phone will get really hot while watching YouTube videos or open more than 4 apps. I still like it but it can get pretty hot sometimes.
