Using the standard keyboard with the swiping method especially, it keeps kicking me out of the app I'm in almost as if it's sensitive to certain gestures. Anyone seeing this problem? Happens a lot using Tapatalk.

It's a more general problem: touching or sweeping near the bottom of any app screen can cause Android to think I'm taking one of the bottom row buttons, for example using the shutter button on the camera. Anyone else?

Running VERY well on my KitKat rooted Maxx, but I have a new icon showing up somewhat randomly. It's white/grey, upside down teardrop with a blackdot in it. Warren Robinet couldn't help me (obscure 'dot' reference humor)
fat-fingered and Maxx-ed out.
Isn't that a location pin, like you would see on Google Maps? I took this symbol to mean that the GPS was on, and active, when this little location pin appears

Yeah, pretty sure it's the new icon for active GPS.
Yes that's the new icon indication for active Gps instead of the blinking dot.

I just saw the same icon but it was a Google Now notification. Had nothing to do with Location because it was about my favorite football team on the opposite side of the country from me.

It's the active Gps notification. Google now does occasionally trigger it to check where you're at for weather/sports/nearby events/etc. Open maps. It'll stay there permanently til you exit.

hello,
i am using my Note 5 with a 1st gen Moto 360. disabled power botton lock and set the watch as a trusted device.
My phone still locks while it's connected. Anybody using this combo?

I am using Nova. The squeeze assistant does not function on my phone. Is the squeeze feature a function of the launcher?
Thanks .
I'm using Nova with squeeze. It's independent of the launcher. Did you turn it off?

I didn't turn it off. Dang. I gotta figure this out.

Play around with the squeeze settings, it's a little tricky

Did you turn it on? Make the sensitivity a little more so. Reboot.
Also, check your language. Somehow mine got changed to a variation of English other than U.S. and assistant stopped working. Changed it back and, boom.
Thanks for these replies. I really can't understand what's going on. So far I have:
rebooted several times
Settings-->System-->Languages, input & gestures = English, Active Edge = On, Tap Active Edge and adjusted sensitivity.
I am using a case but it doesn't work without the case either. FWIW, I am using Swiftkey.
Any other settings I need to look at?
Thanks again.
I found the problem. I had enabled immersive mode ala https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-enable-system-wide-immersive-mode-without-root/.
I didn't read that this disables the active edge squeeze assistant. Now I need to decide if I want more screen or Google assistant. I'm leaning toward screen as I have never used the assistant. I thought something was brokedick .

Just got a pixel 3 and went through the same issue. Has a workaround been found for this? I love immersive mode and would like to not lose active edge if possible. Please help!
