Requirements:
The Device Needs To Have Usb Debugging Enabled
In Case Usb Debugging Isn't Enabled And You Have Recovery,you Can Run The Same Instructions From Recovery
For Some Methods Root Is Not Required (Though It Will Be Better If Device Is Rooted)
If None Of This Methods Works For You - Unfortunally You Probably Must Full Wipe Your Device
METHOD I
Solution For Everyone With Recovery (Cwm, Twrp, Xrec,Etc...) Installed:
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Download this zip Pattern Password Disable (Download from attachments) on to your sdcard (using your PC, as you cant get into your phone, right )
2. Insert the sdcard into your phone
3. Reboot into recovery mode
4. Flash the zip
5. Reboot
6. Done!
Note : If You See The Gesture Pattern Grid Or Password After Restarting, Don't Worry. Just Try Any Random Pattern Or Password And it Should Unlock.
METHOD 2
Solution For Everyone Without Recovery Installed - ADB :
What You Need:
=>A computer running a Linux distro or Windows+Cygwin
=>USB cable to connect your phone to the PC
=>Adb installed
How to install adb:
1. Open Terminal
2. Type:

sudo apt-get install android-tools-adb
Hit [Enter]
3. Follow the instructions until everything is installed.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Connect you (turned on) Phone to the Computer via USB.
2. Open a terminal window.
3. Type:

4. Done...Now You Just Have To Reboot.

METHOD 3
Solution For Everyone Before Lock Accident :
SMS Bypass - Download Link - Install It On Your Device (Download from attachments)
This App Allows You To Remotely Bypass Your Phone's Screen Lock By Sending A SMS.
It Removes Your Gesture Pattern Or Password After Receiving A Preset Keyword Along With A Secret Code Via SMS.
SMS Bypass App Requires Root.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1.First, make sure you give permanent root access to the app.
2.Change the secret code to your preferred choice. The default password is : 1234
3.To reset your screen lock, send the following message from another phone:

Note 1 : There is a space between your secret code and reset. Also the secret code is case sensitive.
Note 2 : There is an option available to change the preset keyword. Default is : reset - Your phone will restart and your lock screen will be reset.

METHOD 4
Solution For Everyone Via Adb - SQL Command :
INSTRUCTIONS:

METHOD 6
Solution For Everyone With USB Debugging Enabled :
INSTRUCTIONS:
Primary Step for all method:
Download & Extract to anywhere - Bypass Security Hack (Download from attachments)
Open SQLite Database Browser 2.0.exe in SQLite Database Browser.
Run pull settings.db.cmd inside By-pass security Hacks folder to pull out the setting file out of your phone.
Drag settings.db and drop to SQLite Database Browser 2.0.exe program.
Navigate to Browse data tab, At table there, click to list down the selection & selete secure
Instruction To Remove Pattern Lock:
Now, find lock_pattern_autolock, Delete Record
Close & save database
Run push settings.db.cmd and reboot your phone
Instruction To Remove PIN Lock:
Now, Find Or Create lockscreen.password_type, double-click & change it's value to 65536, Apply changes!
Now, find lock_pattern_autolock, Delete Record, If doesn't exist, Ignore
Close & save database
Run push settings.db.cmd and reboot your phone
Instruction To Remove Password Lock:
Now, find lockscreen.password_salt, Delete Record
Now, find lockscreen.password_type, Delete Record
Close & save database
Run push settings.db.cmd and reboot your phone

METHOD 7
Solution For Everyone With Recovery Installed :
INSTRUCTIONS:
1.Download and Copy Aroma File manager.zip (Download from attachments or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646108) to your memory card.
2. Open your recovery (press volume Down + Power button or it can be different according to the phones. Generally the phones who have press able button on the middle they have to press all three buttons. Google for you pattern there are lots)
3. There’ll b an option in recovery called “mount”. Go in that option and then mount all the cache and everything it is there.
4. Then select “update” and select “apply update from SD/external” and select aroma file manger.zip file that you downloaded using above QR code above.
5. After Flashing or updating, the aroma file manger will open. Use volume keys for up/down and power button 2 select like you use to get into recovery.
6. In aroma File manager , Go to menu , which is located in bottom strip and then select Settings.
7. Go to bottom n select “mount all partition in startup ” then exit from aroma file manger.
8. Now after exit , re-update that aroma file again and it will open again.
9. Go to data >> and then System.
Then find ‘gesture.key’ (for pattern lock) and ’password.key’ (for password lock) then long touch on gesture.key or password.key and sum option will be prompted , choose delete and delete that file and restart.
Note : If You See The Gesture Pattern Grid Or Password After Restarting, Don't Worry. Just Try Any Random Pattern Or Password And it Should Unlock.

Worked great.. did the Aroma method because I already had that installed... just a note. at&t Galaxy S4 4.4.2 mine was sparepassword.key and there was not password.key and I was using a password.

Note 3. 1,4,5 and 6 didnt work. Kept getting settings.db permission denied error.
Method 7 didnt work either. all I could see was gesture.key, deleted it but it ddint get rid of my pin lock.

So, please update the link, with the zip linked above it worked perfectly! :good:
//edit: And there is one more very simple way, if you have activated the device manager as device administrator (for some odd reason my phone deactivated all device admins, that's why I locked myself out in the first way, I use TimePIN and suddenly my code and the failsafe didn't work ) :
Go to https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager klick on "lock" and enter some pin like 1234, the current lockscreen will be overwritten by the 1234-lock.

My Galaxy S2 slipped from my hand and battery popped out. After turning the device on, the phone would not accept my PIN! Strange as it seems.
Tried method 6 initially, but did not work. However went for Method 7 and profit!
I had TWRP recovery already in place, so didn't actually had to use the aroma file manager.

Try the option "upgrade from storage"
Normally it's called install zip from sd card. If it's not working, change the recovery.

2)THE CAMERA IS IMPOROVED.YOU NEED TO REDUCE THE EXPOSURE A BIT IN ORDER TO GET FULL SMOOTHNESS BUT THAT'S IT.IT JUST HAS MORE DETAIL THAN 4.2.2.
3)NO BLOATWARES,NOTHING.YOU CHOOSE WHAT TO INSTALL,HOW TO PERSONALIZE YOUR PHONE.
4)ALL THE CM11 FEATURES AND CUSTOMIZATIONS.
5)IT'S JUST KITAT,YOU WILL SIMPLY LOVE IT.

1) INTERNAL STORAGE DOESN'T FULLY WORK.WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

-IF YOU WANT A BIG GAME,YOU CAN PUT IT'S CACHE IN INTERNAL STORAGE(BY CONNECTING THE PHONE TO PC) AND THEN INSTALL THE APK.IT WILL WORK.THIS WON'T WORK IF YOU PUT THE GAME'S CACHE ON SD CARD.

1)Back-up contacts,apps,etc and save everything you need from sd card(optional ~ if you want to format it too) and from internal storage and format them.
2)Reboot your phone,connect it to pc and in internal storage create a folder named " 0 " (without quotes) and move all folders and files there(the one that Android automatically creates).This will be your new internal storage.Whatever is outside that folder (0) it won't be accessible after flashing CM11.

4)MOVE ALL OF THEM(EXCEPT CM11.RAR) IN THE " 0 " FOLDER.

AFTER 2-3 MINUTES CLICK ON "SELECT KERNEL TO FLASH " AND SELECT BOOT.IMG.IT WILL TAKE 5 SECONDS OR SO.
11)AFTER THIS CLICK "REBOOT TO SYSTEM" AND WAIT FOR PHONE TO BOOT UP.YOU CAN DISCONNECT THE USB AND CLOSE FLASHTOOL.
12)OPTIMIZE THE PHONE A LITTLE.IF YOU WANT TO DISABLE SYNC BEFORE FLASHING GAPPS(I DID THIS BECAUSE I DON'T NEED SYNC ~ I RECOMMEND TO DISABLE SYNC AND MANUALLY SYNC ANYTHING YOU NEED LATER) GO TO SETTINGS-> INTERFACE - > QUICK SETTINGS PANEL -> TILES AND LAYOUT -> TAP THE " ADD + " BUTTON AND SELECT SYNC.THEN DISABLE IT FROM NOTIFICATION BAR (TAP IT).AFTER THIS REBOOT AND LEAVE THE PHONE ASIDE FOR A WHILE.
13)DOWNLOAD GAPPS.CHOSE WHATEVER YOU NEED.I CHOOSED MICRO MODULAR PACKAGE AS I DON'T USE GOOGLE SERVICES.I RECOMMEND YOU TO DO THE SAME IF YOU MORE FREE RAM.HERE'S THE LINK TO CHOOSE: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942
14)CONNECT YOUR PHONE TO PC ( FIRSTLY GO TO STORAGE -> TAP ON OPTIONS AND SELECT MTP MODE) AND MOVE PA_GAPPS ZIP TO INTERNAL STORAGE/0 (IN THE FOLDER WHERE graphical_glitches_fix / kitkat modules / UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.94 zips are ).
15)DISCONNECT YOUR PHONE FROM PC,PRESS POWER BUTTON AND REBOOT.WHEN THE LED LIGHTS UP AND SONY'S LOGO PRESS VOLUME DOWN.THIS WILL GET YOU IN RECOVERY.DO A FACTORY RESET AND REBOOT.
16)ENTER RECOVERY AGAIN -> GO TO INSTALL ZIP -> FIND THE " 0 " FOLDER (IT'S IN SDCARD FOLDER) AND SELECT graphical_glitches_fix AND FLASH IT.REBOOT.DO THIS FOR THE REST OF THE ZIPS IN THIS ORDER:KitKat modules by stenly , UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.94 , pa_gapps-modular-micro-4.4.2-20140412-signed .AFTER FLASHING THE LAST ZIP TAP WIPE CACHE/DALVIK CACHE AND REBOOT.
AGAIN,I RECOMMEND A REBOOT BETWEEN FLASHING ZIPS EVEN IF TWRP GIVES YOU TO OPTIONS TO SELECT UP TO 10 ZIPS TO FLASH THEM ALL AT A TIME.
17)AFTER THE PHONE BOOTS UP,PLAY A LITTLE WITH IT AND DO A FINAL SIMPLE REBOOT.
18)GO TO CAMERA AND TAKE A PHOTO.IT'S VERY IMPORTANT,THIS WILL GET INTERNAL STORAGE TO BE SEEN BY THE FILE MANAGER.AFTER THIS YOU CAN CHECK INTERNAL STORAGE(IT'S CALLED " 0 ") WITH THE FILE MANAGER.
19)IF YOU GET CAMERA FORCE CLOSE DO A REBOOT.I GOT FC FIRST TIME AND AFTER A REBOOT SINCE YESTERDAY I HAVEN'T EXPERIENCED ANY FC.DO NOT CHOOSE THE CAMERA TO SAVE PHOTOS ON SD CARD.IF YOU HOWEVER DO THIS,GO TO SETTINGS-> APPS -> ALL APPS AND WIPE CACHE FOR CAMERA APP.ALSO REMEMBER TO REDUCE EXPOSURE A LITTLE IF THE CAMERA ISN'T 100% SMOOTH.
20) CONNECT YOUR PHONE TO PC,MOVE BACK ALL YOUR FILES YOU'VE INITIALLY BACKED-UP AND THAT'S IT.IN ORDER TO RESTORE CONTACTS FROM SD CARD,FIND THE PIM00001.VCF FILE AND TAP ON IT.OPEN IT WITH CONTACTS AND IT'LL RESTORE ALL CONTACTS.FOR SOME REASONS,MY CONTACTS ARE SHOWING THE PHONE NUMER TWICE,I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY BUT IT'S NOT A BIG DEAL AND I HAVEN'T THOUGHT ABOUT IT MUCH.
PERSONAL OPPINION: I'VE BEEN USING THIS CM11 FOR COUPLE OF HOURS( ~ 24 HOURS ) AND I DON'T HAVE ANY COMPLAIN.IT'S SMOOTH,EVERYTHING ELSE WORKS,IT'S FAST.

1. Download all and move it to your SD Card.
2. Take a nandroid backup.
3. Make sure you following Mr. Stenly's storage instructions first to get internal working.
4. Go to recovery.
5. Wipe data, cache, and dalvik cache.
6. Flash kernel and then ROM.
7. Reboot
8. Go to recovery again, flash GAPPS and then reboot.

- If your WiFi isn't working, try to flash KitKat Modules and then wipe cache and dalvik cache. In case still not working, try to reinstall CM11 using normal method by @StenlyAndroidProds
- Flash SuperSU / Root if you want to root your phone. (do this after last reboot)
- Flash Graphical Glitch Fixes if your phone faced graphical glitch bugs. (do this after last reboot)

I'm facing a small issue though. My phone is not being read by my laptop or my desktop either and I can't seem to access sd card from the file manager. Any help?

Man, how is this any different to #root cyanogenmod? Is this just his cm and links to patches you didn't create?

Bliss rom for LENOVO VIBE C A2020a40

First and foremost , i am not the developer nor do i take any credit for the rom.:angel:
I have personally tested the rom and found no bugs except that the camera flash doesn't work through the camera app, but works through the flashlight.
I am making this thread because i couldn't find anything anywhere.
The only other bugs is that the selinux is disabled meaning viper4android won't work.
I have the 16gb 4g variant , so i can't say if it will work on the 8gb variant. And obviously i take no responsibility if something happens to your device . Proceed at your own risk.
There is MIUI8 by the same developer , wait for me to check it then i will provide the download link.

Status : Final Build
STEPS:
1) Go to settings -> about device -> click on build number till you have unlocked developer mode
2) Enable Unknown source in security settings
3) Install kingroot.apk from the archive and root your device (sometimes you have to try 2,3 times before you get root )
4) Enable OEM unlocking in developer mode , and plug your device to pc , go to A2020a40 unlock and click unlock bootloader.bat and wait for it .Backup your data before this because it will be deleted.
5) After the device reboots got to twrp1 and run flashtwrp.bat and press 1 after everything is done.
6) Copy blisspop.zip and gapps pico to your sdcard and plug your device to the pc and run runtwrp.bat from twrp1 folder.
7) Twrp starts in another language choose second option on the right and select english , the nselect never show again and swipe to get into twrp.
8) Go to backup select storage as external sdcard , and backup everything.
9) After backup is done go to wipe and wipe everything except external sdcard.
10) Flash Blisspop.zip -> wipe cache and dalvik -> flash gapps pico -> wipe cache and dalvik -> flash supersu zip from chainfire's site -> wipe cache and dalvik-> reboot device.
11) Enjoy.

Beanstalk question .

Hi everybody, I'm new here and I hope my question does not sound too stupid . My grandson brought me his Galaxy tab 2 GT-P5113 and it is a rooted device . It has android version 4.2.2 installed and it will not update because the device has been modified appears . He does not have the original data cable just a cable that will charge . Here is the question. Do I need to hook up to a PC to install Beanstalk rom or can it be installed off of the SD card ? Any help and install procedure would be greatly appreciated . Thank you .

As long as it has a custom recovery installed such as TWRP you can download and flash any rom that you like without a pc

Search for twrp recovery and download and install the correct version for your device (if it's not already installed). Then install the rom using twrp (no pc needed for this).

THIS IS A LONG(will take upto 1 hour of your time) BUT EASY PROCESS. SO DON'T WORRY.
After reading your question I understood that you want to install beanstalk ROM on your device.
I suggest you NOT to install beanstalk as it is discontinued and not updated ROM.
To install the ROM you should have a custom recovery.
I will proceed you as following :
1. Installing a custom recovery.
- Download Flashify from play store.
- Download this recovery from here :- https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=962021903579495495
- Open Flashify and open the flash(or install tab), it must be opened by default anyways.
- Select 'Flash Custom Recovery' and navigate to the file downloaded.
- After you click install, you device will reboot.
- Now you have a custom recovery installed.
2. Downloading the ROM and correct gapps
I suggest you to install this ROM(as it is updated and supported at the moment) :-
- Download the ROM. :- https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=746010030569950580
- Open this website :- https://opengapps.org
- Select ARM, then 7.1, then Pico and download the GApps(google apps, play store and all).
3. Flashing
- Power off your device(make sure you have atleast 30% battery).
- Press Volume Up + Power button until your device vibrates.
- If you get some sort of message, just click "Keep read only".
- Click wipe.
- Click advanced.
- Select : Data, Dalvik/ART, System and cache.
- Swipe the slider to right and wait until you see " Done in the dialog box"
- Press the home button
- Click Install
- Locate the ROM first and select it and swipe the slide towards right again.
- Once you see "script succeeded result = 1.000000" press home button.
- Click install again.
- Locate to the GApps.
- Install it just as you did with ROM above.
- After installation click home button.
- Click wipe and select : Cache, Data and Dalvik/ART. DO NOT CLICK SYSTEM.
- Click the home button.
- Click reboot.
- Click system.
- Done!!
IMPORTANT :- The first boot will take around 5-15 minutes, this is normal. After your device boots, please connect it to your charger and keep it aside for 5 minutes and then set it up.

Make sure OEM unlock is enabled in developer options
1. Boot into download mode
2. Use latest odin and flash provided img.tar file in AP slot
3. Device will reboot and will say verfication fail bla bla!! tap on reset device will reboot after reset setup device
4. You will find magisk manager in app drawer open it and install full version it will ask for additional setup allow it
5. Voila! you are rooted with latest magisk 17.3
Note - do not use img file with any other build strictly for A750FNXXU1ARIC

open magisk manager after flashing boot img then open magisk manager it will ask to install full magisk manager allow it and install apk then open it will ask for additional setup allow it.

Phone reboots every time I'm trying to change priv-app permissions in order to copy a file into it.

Hi i just bought the galaxy A7 2018 and i can't enter download mode..
i can enter recovery mode without a problem but when i try to enter download mode, it just keeps restarting to the first screen saying 'SAMSUNG GALAXY A7 secured by knox' , can someone help please?

Power down the phone. Hold Vol Up + Vol Down and plug it into the computer. It will boot to DL mode. Cheeky Samsung...
