Can I revive my hardbricked Moto G 1st Gen? - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey,
I had this problem with my Moto G 2013 (xt1032). I was installing a ROM with TWRP but, unfortunately, the process failed. I decided to leave TWRP and proceed into recovery mode in order to install the stock rom by adb. Right before leaving TWRP, a pop up showed up saying "No OS installed. Are you sure you wish to proceed?" After that, the phone turned off, and I tried going into recovery mode (vol -, power button), and it wasn't working. That was when I found out my phone was dead. I've tried to hold the vol - and the power button for like 2 min and it didn't work. I have also tried the "blank-flash.bat" method but it didn't work as well because there is no OS installed on my phone. I have done lots of research on pushing a ROM but I don't really think that is going to work. If any of you guys can help me on this I would be really glad because I really loved this device. Thanks! (forgot to mention that my PC recognizes my phone and that every time I connect my phone to the USB cable, the LED blinks and every time I hold the power button for 6 seconds, the LED blinks and I think the phone restarts or something.) Finally, thanks for opening my thread and for helping me!

[Q] Motorola xt316 won't start up after root

Hi!

After rooting my device I have install 'rom manager', an application on android market that lets you backup your rom, when I tried to backup it the phone shotdown.
Now my device won't start, I pulled out the battery and the sim card, even the SD card and tryed to start it again, no result, when I say no result I mean that the phone doesn't show the moto logo, nothing, just the standard soft buttons light up and the they turn off, I tried to press the POWER button while putting the battery on and the same thing, only this time it vibrates, I have tried the volum up and down, still nothing, just the vibrate and the lights of the buttons then nothing.
When I connect it to my computer, after pressing the power button, my windows 7 searches for a driver, the driver is called "Flash MSM7227" and didn't find it.
I don't know wath to do, pleas help me, I'm despret!

Have you tried to load the bootloader?
Just press VOLUME +, VOLUME - and PWR at the same time and wait. (Until 'Enter recovery mode' message appears).
If don't appears, i think you bricked your phone, because you tried to do something very wrong. If this method don't work, send your phone to MOTOROLA and wait. There's the only thing to do.
So have you already revived the phone?
If not, do the following:
Press and hold CAMERA and VOL- buttons simultaneously
Connect USB cable
Phone will be detected as Motorola Flash Interface. And you will get the ability to flash it. It was tested by me.

[Q] Help Nexus S Totally Bricked!

Please help if you can, would really appreciate, dont know how to unbick my totally F$$$$### Nexus S Phone.
Even in recovery/fastboot mode on my Nexus S (Vol up+power), I cannot get my system to recognize the device....in fact, even in Windows, I am not able to get the system to recognize my device in Recovery mode/Fastboot mode....the only way it will recognize the device is if it is turned on the normal way, and hangs on the "Google unlocked icon" screen.
Some background info:
My power button recently stopped working...I thought it had to do with the fact that I updated NexusTools (was running a CyberGR rom...cant remember the name...had V4 Ultimate in it (downloaded from Rom Manager)).
So what I did was download/install (from the same developer) their hybrid ics rom....that did not brick it...but it also did not fix the power button...so after not liking the new rom, and the fact that it didnt fix my power button, I reflashed to the original rom I had installed (wiped everything, including doing a factory reset), and it just hung on "Google unlocked icon"
Now my phone does the following:
- First of all, the only way to power the device up is to plug it in (it automatically turns on and tries to boot without me pressing the non-functional power button)
- If I let it try to boot, it infinity hangs on the Google unlocked icon screen
- If I boot into recovery (by holding vol up button and plugging the phone into a power source), it hangs on the recovery screen...meaning the power button, as well as the volume buttons, as well as any buttons are non responsive.
- If I boot into recovery, the device doesnt even register on my system....
What am I doing wrong? What can I do to try and fix this?
I would truly appreciate if anyone reading this has some insights for me.
THANKS!!

yes, sounds like a dead power button(i have one myself).
try going back into your recovery, do a full data wipe(factory reset), then reflash the rom(and gapps). if still nothing, redownload the rom and try again. in your recovery, there is an usb option. use it to transfer your newly downloaded rom from your computer to phone.
Once I am in recovery mode it "freezes" though...as in not even the volume buttons work...they worked fine before, and even work to get into recovery mode...but once there they no longer work...nor does connecting the device in recovery mode to my laptop....so im kind of at a loss, as I cant even use Fastboot/adb to wipe/push anything on the Nexus S through my laptop

im guessing that your using cwm recovery?
give your phone a few smacks on the back near the power button, your phone thinks its being pressed in.
yes, it definitely thinks it is being pressed in...thats for sure...and makes sense...ill try that haha!
Yes latest CWM Recovery...5.0.2 or something like that...just updated that before phone died...
Weird...so i "smacked" the phone a bit...when I do it in recovery mode, it reboots the phone into recovery....so it definitely thinks its being pressed down constantly...but I have found no way to make it "un-pressed"...only briefly by smacking it...

in twrp recovery, theres an option to not use the power button to select(thats what im using), is there a similar option in the newer cwm recovery? tr\y pressing the soft buttons). also, see if sticking a fingernail in between the power button helps, to pull out the button a bit.
After continuingto smack it...as well as "pulling" on the power button, I am not able to use volume buttons and power buttons within recovery...flashing a new rom now...will let you know if that fixes it...otherwise I will try unbickable in ubuntu again and see if that fixes it thanks for the pro-tip of smacking it, haha!

LG G Flex 2 Bootloop

Hi everyone, first of all, I'm sorry if I don't speak very good English...
A few days ago, I tried to install Xposed using Flashfire on my LG G Flex 2. But the smartphone got stuck at the LG logo during hours, and it never started, it is in bootloop.
The phone was in Android 5.1. When I try to start it in "Download mode" (holding Volume up and link it to my PC), the phone starts in Fastboot mode (on the top left corner, it is written "[310] Fastboot mode").
When I try to start it in Recovery Mode (holding Power button and Volume down), nothing happen, the screen is black and the LED notification flashes very quickly in red.
And when I try to link the phone to my PC while holding Volume down button, nothing happens.
So I don't know what I can do, is there anything to do ?
Thanks for reading me.
P.S. : I don't know if it can help, but I have another LG G Flex 2 fully functionnal with me.

Bricked my Nvidia Shield Tablet LTE RoW after Nougat update

Hi!
I've read many threads and I haven't found the answer I'm looking for.
I've flashed the 5.1 update via TWRP on my tablet, and in the first boot it rapidly installed something, rebooted and never worked again. I can't use adb fastboot because my pc doesn't recognize my tablet. It shows as APX. I've tried to install the APX drivers and I can't, even after I reboot into advance settings.
Have I not read the correct post? Please help get my tablet back. I know it was stupid of me not to disable wifi before deleting the TegraOTA, I was in a hurry and forgot. Is there any hope?
Thanks for your patience.
Sounds like it took the forced update to kill it. If you can't get into the bootloader to use fastboot I don't think you'll be able to do much.
I might have done the same thing as you. If you do vol down+power does that still start up? if so this worked for me
https://forum.xda-developers.com/shield-tablet/help/help-stuck-nvidia-boot-screen-t3076462
I'm stuck now I'm on the stock rom and dont want to connect to wifi and get a killswitch, but I can't get a custom recover to load to change roms
Edit: When on the laying down android with "no command" if you hit the power+volup+voldown it will go into recovery settings. I guess the custom recovery isn't really flashing over.
Unplug USB cable press power for 30 seconds and then press the power and vol down should go to bootloader if your tablet didn't get kill switched. If it still doesn't boot and shows apx once connected then its been kill switched. Pressing power and vol up will place it into apx mode by default.

Need help with my phone

Good day everyone,
I have been facing a huge problem in the past weeks after I have done one mistake.
I was installing a newer version of TWRP recovery and instead of installing the image I installed it as zip.
My OS was gone, I couldn't get it to "recover" my OS in any way. The kernel seems fine.
I have tried to use a micro SD and USB cable to install a new ROM but TWRP couldn't detect my SD card and my PC couldn't connect to my phone.
I also wiped my whole data.
My phone doesn't boot in the recovery unless it's not charging and start with ONLY pushing the power button.
Holding power and volume up will make it vibrate 3 times and restart.
Charging the phone makes it stuck on the android logo after the battery status.
The phone overheats and the battery drains extremely .
The only message I got from TWRP is, "No OS installed".
Other logs are inaccessible or wiped.
I would appreciate any advice
Thanks in advance!
1. Turn off your phone
2. Enter the phone Flashmode by holding the volume down button, then connect to a PC (the led should be green and your PC should recognize your Z5).
3. Flash the FTFs in Flashtool.
Information about how to that can be found on this forum.

This might help.
