I just picked on of these up. I love it so far but I really wish they made a case to go on the phone with the battery mod on. Or do they? I can't seem to find one. Anyone have a link? Thank you.

With the battery mod on can you still use NFC? has it been rerouted or something? will be a shame if you have to remove the mod to use android pay! (only reason i want to upgrade from oneplus two)

I don't use nfc but I can't imagine it not working with the battery mod on. Could be wrong though

The NFC antenna is located above the camera. It works with the battery pack on. At least it did to pair my headphones. I can't say if AP works, but would imagine so.

What kind of battery life do you get with this mod attached? With the Pixel XL and V20 being so expensive, I'm having to look elsewhere for a phone upgrade. My two top picks right now are the Moto Z and the Moto Z Play and battery life is a big deciding factor...

The Moto Z Play without a battery mod is a battery beast. If you add a mod to it, I'm sure it would be ridiculously good.
Please report...
...here the availability of White Wireless one on Web sites.
@today is available only on motorola.com but they don't ship outside US...
I use a leather hip holster style carrying case for the phone. It fits very nicely with the battery mod on it:
https://www.amazon.com/Motorola-Pre...=1476190869&sr=8-1&keywords=agoz+moto+z+force
Full product codes of different models:
- MT-381-BLK Black Incipio Offgrid 2200mAh MOD (only available in europe @today... )
- MT-381-WHT White Incipio Offgrid 2200mAh MOD
- MT-382-BLK Wireless Charge Black Incipio Offgrid 2200mAh MOD
- MT-382-WHT Wireless Charge White Incipio Offgrid 2200mAh MOD
Finally picked one of these up but I can't tell if it's even charging the phone. I don't see a second battery symbol like the manual says. But it vibrates and flashes the screen when it's attached

With the Mod attached, it seems like I get about FOUR times as much life, which doesn't really make sense because the mod is adding a little less than 1x in battery power, so you Should get 4820 vs. 2600 = 1.85 x the battery life.
I really like the Feel of the Incipio battery mod, the curved shape and the texture, and the Moto Z included clear bumper gives it a little more protection, but I worry about dropping, and wish there was a tough case that I could add to the combined phone plus mod, that would give me complete protection when I am out walking the dogs, and other stressful and potentially damaging situations.

After attaching the battery, go into settings. In the Device area the last option should be Moto Mods. Tap on that see if shows anything attached. You may have to update software for the mod.
Also, I don't see dual batteries normally when attached. If I do the "double pull down" from the top to get to the quick settings, THEN I see double batteries listed. Normally it's just the phone battery shown at the top. When the mod is charging it I see a battery with a bit "+" on it.
Let me know if that helps.

Thanks for the advice. Turns out it was my boot image. I had flashed a boot image with no force encryption and it didnt play well with my US based firmware.

Is there someone who can sell to me one on eBay/PayPal from USA?

3h today. Alot of browsing, some Youtube, benchmarked my sd card, a reboot, messed around with a few other apps. Rather low screen brightness. Adaptive brightness. And a few other factors too. 60% left. With mod.
Short version. Most days I only need to charge every second day. At worst 1.5 days. So far no need for a charge per day.

Yes. Personally I need to use the phone rather heavy to need a charge within 24h (havn't needed yet). Games and/or longer sessions of videos I guess. Other uses should be above 24h.
I'm pretty lightweight on installed software and possible battery draining background activity. Pretty hard to be sure how it would be for a other person.

Single and kit links above - all you need is a nail clipper to clip off some of the black plastic so the battery sits flush in the phone. I also removed the red label on one side (it just peals off). Some have said that it fits without any mods though. Im still in the testing phase of my read chictech. Before power cycling it the battery life was terrible, now that Ive cycled it Im seeing better battery life then stock OEM. I unplugged @ 7AM and I have 65% battery life left on Virtuous 0.70 with moderate to heavy usage throughout the day. HSPA+ on full time, WIFI on full time....see for yourself, I think the singles are only 15$, thats what I got.

Ha! Thanks for the idea! I just pulled my TP2 battery and clipped off the tab and now have an extra 200 mAh for free. Might give me an extra hour or two of battery life. I don't know about those 1800mAh batteries though.... if the 1500mAh has a tough time fitting (closing the battery door), how bad will the 1800mAh be? Might require an extended battery door...

I was wondering if anyone can recommend to me a good extended battery that doesn't add bulk or the requirement of a special backplate to the s4?
I don't seem to have as much success as most people here on the phone with battery life, and if i'm lucky I make it to 3 hrs screen on time on each battery (I carry around spare batteries but this is still annoying).

I don't believe there are any options for extended battery without bulk. You could do the zerolemon 3000 mah batteries. You get two of those and then you could always have a spare battery ready to swap when the other one dies. Other than that, you're going to add bulk if you want an extended battery.

I would advise you not to use batteries by this brand. I've opened up an extended battery they made for the i9300 and discovered that they use spacers to add weight to the batteries instead of using two batteries like the reputable brands(anker, hyperion, zerolemon). The closest you would get to an extended battery is the 3000mah zerolemon.
The battery arrived today and I am giving it the first charge. I will see how it goes and report. I hope it does not mess up my device ...
So far I am using it for 30-40 minutes and it is charging and charge progress seems normal and the temperature also.
I will be back after a couple of days to share the whole experience

If its got a 2 year performance warranty they must be pretty confident in it

It depends on your screen brightness. I am using an 100% stock rom. I get on a full day around 5 hours screen on time with my brightness ranging from 0% to up to 20%.
I also tried this, use the phone with the brightness set to 0%. I managed a staggering 1 hour screen on time while just losing 15% (was whatsapping for an hour).
I don't like the stock battery life as I have to recharge my phone twice a day.... I usually go leave the house at 7AM and come back at around 6PM with around 10% left. Then, I charge it fully and by time I go to bed, the phone already has lost around 40% battery (I use the speaker alot and download Torrents). Then I start chatting with friends in bed and go to sleep with around 10-20% left on the same day (although that's at around 2AM). Thus, even with my battery life, I can't make a full day.
Although I must say, I am a heavy user. I use whatsapp, browser, music player, snapchat, facebook and the camera to take pictures alot on a daily basis. I use my phone with the lowest brightness possible as long as I can see what's on the screen to prolong the battery life.
@hare899500 and 9505 has the same battery

Sorry I didn't get back sooner.
I use the Opteka exclusively and am able to get a full day, but it depends on how you use your phone.
They don't advertise a huge upgrade, it's only marginal. you will not get anything above ~2800-3000mAh to fit inside the existing back cover.
That being said, I have yet to have any issue with the Opteka brand.
They also make camera batteries and accessories.

So you think it is better than stock?
Going to replace my original at some point. I never really have issues, though. But they are so cheap I might as well do it before it starts to become a problem, I only go above an hour or two of screen time when I travel by air (can't imaging spending 20%+ of my waking life looking at a 5" screen...don't know how you guys can stand it, lol).
i have polarcell 2900mAh battery for about 2 months, and I am really pleased with it.
Ok, I dont have stock rom, but compared to stock battery it gave me a great results.
About 35 hours without charge, and 2h 40min screen on
Good luck with this one. Most ebay battery is faking the capacity, if the size is just same as the original battery, there is no way it can be 3000mah, u can't beat the physics law.
But I just got another ZNC battery from amazon for $3.99 for a deal [I'm a new user, can't post the link here, if you guys interested, can search 'ZNC battery' at amazon to get the deal]. I have been using it for 3 days from now, works great so far and last just like the original one. I'll report it back this weekend, if I got time for the capacity test.

You can't flash any updates from the other variants. Wait until the bootloader gets unlocked so you can flash a few roms/updates/etc. Until then, we have to wait for att to push out an ota.

That is 100% correct. QHD/2k screen was not needed and is the BIGGEST battery hog for this phone. Its a shame, this phone could have been the perfect device, but as strange as it sounds, the screen is just too good and came to soon.
It is a shame. I was getting significantly better battery life on my Oneplus.
Out of curiosity, what are people doing to increase battery life beyond things like lowering brightness, turning off wifi, bluetooth, etc. . . .

Alright. Just like what happens with many smartphones, third party sources have started releasing batteries with a little more juice than the Original LG Batteries of 2800mAh. I have to admit it, i was kind of counting on it because it happens a lot of time. But how reliable could they be? Would NFC work with them? Will it make our phone explode? From 2800mAh to 3250mAh is 450 more juice to drain. Has someone tested it? I've posted the link and a couple of pictures.

I just recieved two of them from Ebay. Charged one in the charging cradle, took a little longer than the stock battery. Installed it in the phone last night and will report on my findings. Everything seems fine so far.

Can you please also try the NFC feature if you have another phone with NFC capability? And also, whether the SOT improves or if it remains the same. and finally, in comparison to the other battery, how long does the phone last , based on your average usage (say: wifi on/off, usual brightness or auto brightness, etc. ) Let us know. Thanks
On my Thread I found one that has 3600mah found at AliExpress

I have the G4 and I'm sure you can find one for just 1 pcs
Here's one from brand TQTHL which I would trust as I have 2 for my G4 and both work great

I have tested for two day and although I haven't gotten any numbers to prove it...the battery works great. It does last longer with the same usage...but I wouldn't say that the difference is huge but it does have a little more endurance. I'd say that if you are looking for an extra battery...this is not a bad choice especially just to keep as a spare. Everything works fine as well.
Also...it may take a few cycles to get the battery calibrated...my first discharge I was disappointed because it dad extremely fast but after letting it run down and charging it a few times it seems to last a little longer than stock. I'll leave the battery in for a while and if I get time to collect screen on before I charge it I will.

I think one would see a real difference if it had 900mah ane up more than usual. I was kind of expecting for that though. Hahaha. But i have the feeling they will release an eveb bigger one. Something like 4000mAh+ but you have provided us with great detail. Thank you. If you have the SOT in the future feel free to provide if
I doubt we will see anything much larger in the same size. Batteries have limited capacity/cm3, and LG, being one of the best and largest battery manufacturer, maxed out on that value. The problem here is the physical size of the battery cell...

Actually Zerolemon emailed me and said they are working on a battery for the G5 as we speak. They can be miracle workers lol

They managed to do that by replacing the back cover with their own "case", including an extra-size cell. The G5's different battery removal mechanics make it a lot less viable option, especially adding the bottom module (which houses not just the USB connector, but speakers, microphone, and some antennas) as a cost.
My original comment was directed at the allegedly 3200/3250mAh cells popping up for 5-10$ a piece. There's a reason why official LG cells are 25$, and these after-market ones cost less than half of that. Sure, LG needs to cover the development costs, but I'm pretty sure the after-market ones are so cheap mainly because of corner cutting. And that comes with extended hazard. But if you feel like ruining your 600$+ phone because you went cheap and paid 10$ instead of 25$ for a battery... It's your call.

They could create a module similar to the Cam+ that has an 'extra' battery in it. Maybe slimmer but further up the case.

I have been following the forum site for lg g5 modules development and untill now no one has has stepped up with the idea (no one that would have the knowledge to start building a module for the g5 at least)

It's just a matter of time and I think lg should be the one to do.

Yeah I could see someone make a module that has a slim but like a little bit more mah
Check out this thread I did for the Sensation (ages ago). It's not relevant to this phone, other than to say that you'll recognize some of the labels:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1753726
The TLDR: Actual mAh was was tested reliably (external discharge, outside of the phone) and batteries with the same label style as the two linked in the OP actually had roughly 30% and 50% of their stated capacity, and much less than stock.
I've got a G5 coming this week. I wouldn't be against doing another thread like the one I did in 2012 on the Sensation, if there's demand.
I have this one coming, so i will let you all know what i find. There seems to be mixed reviews, and even my Stock Battery had to be calibrated up/down charge for 3-5 times before i had good life.

The mixed reviews are in part my fault. I'm one of the reviewers with that battery and for some reason Amazon will not post my updated review, I've tried 3 different occasions to post follow ups but they won't post.
What I learned with that battery is it works, only it does give me the invalid battery message and the phone shuts off but only if I reboot the phone at 100% battery life, upon booting the phone reports 50% charge and shuts off. You have to restart it a couple times until it's used a percentage or 2, then it boots fine. I emailed the seller about it and they responded with the cells are tested and they only use quality parts, they sent me another battery but that one does the same as the original. With the issue with the note 7 and other phones/chargers I stopped using the battery. It might be perfectly safe but I can't determine that and the risk is not one I am willing to wait and see. Here's a link to another topic here on XDA where I responded about this battery.

So, after the first full charge and discharge to 11%, I'm getting very good times better than stock. This will probably increase with a few more charging cycles. My opinion is this battery is definitely more mA. I will review more when later.
Hi everyone,
i just wanted to share my experience with a battery from TQTHL built with the latest 2017 battery technology.
it's the most powerful battery i've ever seen for the note 4, insane 11800mah and when i tested it i got 12130MAH out of that battery so even more than the claimed 11800mah.
i tried the zerolemom 10000mah and the hyperion 9600mah but so far this is the best battery i've tested.
the battery comes with NFC and a good case cover...
just google TQTHL 11800mah or you can see a youtube video testing too
UPDATE 10/08/2017
check post 30 below for screenshots and insane battery settings
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73299611&postcount=30
Overall the note 4 is the only phone capable of having this battery life, i got 6 days of normal usage out of that battery.
Thank you, could you post som pictures for battery and SOT ?

Does the Zero Lemon fix in the kernel work with this battery?

I actually just got that battery. Can you please walk me through your settings?
@aminofgodseeker I'm currently on the MoDestRom v9 ROM, and am using the ZeroLemon battery. I'm on my second ZeroLemon, as my first one seemed to not be charging/discharging correctly any longer. I bought it maybe a month and a half ago and I recently just discovered this battery. Wish I had waited.
My ZeroLemon battery, I've drained it to 0% while on this ROM, and the ROM author had released a kernel that supports the ZeroLemon battery. It seems to calibrate well, as there are no 1% issues. I wouldn't know if the same setup would work for this higher capacity or not.
To give you an idea of how well my ZeroLemon battery worked one day, I essentially unplugged my phone at 7:30 am, used it more or less for 4 hours just searching the internet and then playing offline games while i was on a 2 hour plane ride, and then using it for another 5 hours for a car triip (with Google Maps). 15 hours later of extremely heavy usage, full screen brightness, not being plugged into power, I was down to 21%. I doubt a stock battery can handle that. Not only that, prior to the Verizon variant being unlocked, I'm pretty sure I would've gotten to 3% much sooner, had to deal with the dimming, and I would've survived on 1% for a very long time.
So maybe give that ROM a shot if you have this battery and see what you think. I'm sure if there was enough interest, if necessary, the author would modify his kernel to work with this battery.
Beware This battery doesnt have the NFC chip. My battery is going back to Amazon.
Does anyone know of a reseller who will ship to Australia? Everyone I've found so far seems to be US-only and my Zerolemon is dangerously bulging!
I'm very curious about this battery. Can that has this battery tell me, how loose the charging cable connector is when using this battery? I'm on the ZeroLemon battery at the moment, and while the battery works fine, the charging port isn't very secure, as the insides are wobbly.

There is no reason for the battery to have any effect on the USB socket of your phone. I also have the Zerolemon battery on my Note4. The case that comes with this battery gives you full access to the charging port without any obstructions.

With your ZeroLemon vs the stock battery, is the charging port more loose?

Like I said before, there is no effect on the charging socket of your phone when using one of these batteries with their case. It is impossible for the battery to cause your charging port to feel or become loose. Something else is wrong with your phone. It's not the battery.
Can somebody else test the NFC in the battery?
