Galaxy j5 update - Android Apps and Games

Hi .
Not being a techy person I'm struggling with the new update on my galaxy j5. Since downloading it it freezes on sites like play store and Facebook saying connection timed out and I also get a black screen for my home page . I've tried resetting my phone it works for a little while and then stops. Not keen to do a factory reset
Please help as I've said before I haven't a clue when it comes to mobile phones.

I would try and clear the cache and dalvik cache. To do that, you must boot into recovery.
Though I don't really think it will fix your problem. Your problem may be caused by the new update, thus only a factory reset could probably solve it.

[Q] A strange Failure to boot.

Hi
I am having a problem that just cropped up on a Xoom 3g running unrooted, Motorola Jelly Bean 4.2.1. I am using it on wi-fi only, no Verizon account. The unit will get past the M screen and then ususally hangs up when it gets to the screen with the expanding colored rectangles. Sometimes the home screen will flash up for a split second, sometimes with enough time to log in. In either case it is back to the colored rectangles shortly, even if I get it to log in. I can get to the factory reset screen during the boot and do a full factory reset reload the apps and settings. I have done this twice. It works for about 20 or 30 boots and then colored rectangles show up in the middle of a session and its back to the boot problem.
Questions:
Does anyone have a quick answer?
Will rooting and reloading Android help or it is a hardware issue?
Thanks for any help
John
Have tried a full factory reset without restoring your apps and settings to see if the issue persist?

It seemed to work ok with the apps installed for a while. There were a couple which were suspect and I did not reinstall after the factor reset. It could be a problem though. Maybe I will try the reset again with only a couple of apps. I am still undescided on the root and updating the OS.

Hi again.
I did some thinking and now I suspect the Bluetooth connection. I had enabled an app that required BT (Logitech Harmony Hub). I also enabled the BT but not the app after the second factory reset. I did another factory reset and did not enable Bluethooth. The unit has been running flawless as before. I did a little searching on the web and found a guy with an identicle problem but it was not clear if it was resolved.. Does anyone know know if this is a common problem and if there is a solution. I could not find anything elso on the web or in the formum that helped. If this is a persistant problem, I am wondering if a custom rom would help.
Thanks
John

[Q] Nexus 5 crashing and rebooting

I have a nexus 5 that crashes constantly. I tried everyting, factory reset, reinstall new factory image, installation without restore of settings from the play store, hard reset, soft reset... Out of luck I guess.. Normally I would RMA this device directly, though now I have a little problem because I live in the Netherlands and the phone is ordered from the google play store in Germany... This makes it troublesome to do so, so first I would check if there are any options/known problems that could cause this.... Or is there a way to diagnose what is causing this probem? Hope someone can help me..

Patrick

Samsung Galaxy S6 Overheating Issues. HELP

Somebody pls help out. Woke up this morning and found out that my Samsung Galaxy S6 popped up an overheating message. Can't open apps only phone and contacts. I've wiped off cache and done a factory reset yet the problem still persist.
It will show me the 'overheating' pop up log and shutdown by itself. Any idea on how to solve this issue?

That weird, save your data and flash a new firmware + wipe everything see if it solves your issue.
Maybe a strange question:
- Is your phone actually hot?
- Do you charge your phone under your pillow (if you do; DON'T)

Cannot pair after Factory Reset (S8+/Pie, S3C/Tizen4)

Hello guys,
I'm facing an extremely strange problem.
I factory reset my Galaxy S8+ to Android Pie and I'm trying to sync it with my Gear S3, which I also factory reset. The problem is, while the syncing starts, at the final stage of the synchronization, the Galaxy Wearable app force closes and the watch remains stuck at the "Check your phone to complete the setup process ". No matter how many times I try, delete the Galaxy Wearable cache, the Accessory Tool cache, it always occurs, even after Master Reset of the Watch
Any help would be totally appreciated.
Edit: it seems that the two devices actually connect via Bluetooth. Even so, every time I open the Wearable app, a message "your device has been reset. Do you want to set it up" or something pops up, CONSTANTLY, not allowing you to do anything. Meanwhile the Watch is stuck on the galaxy swirling image with the "check your phone message "....
Had the same problem...the solution is to uninstall gear s plugin apk and find an older version of it and install it.After that problem will be solved...

galaxy J700M optimizing apps at startup

Hi, I need help as to how to fix the optimizing app 1 of 1 at startup. the phone is a galaxy J7/SM-J700M 2016 android version 6.0.1. I am desperately in need of help in solving this issue. I have tried everything I found online tips or ways of solving it. I tried factory reset, wipe cach. I have also taken it to my carrier for repair, they had solved the issue, but it only lasted for 30 minutes or less. it is the same as with the factory reset and wipe cach methods. the problem would return after it doses an automatic update.
the carrier technicians said the problem is Facebook and messenger, so I disable the Facebook and messenger app, the issue still persists. Is there a fixable solution to the problem? My cell phone works great, it's the green screen with the two spinning gears with the message 'optimizing 1 of 1 app'. I am on a budget so a new phone is out of the question. please help. Thank you
