Have you tried using adb to pull your files?
When you say your screen is broken, do you mean it doesn't display and touch isn't working? Or is screen not displaying but touch is working?
If you're unsure, try seeing if you can tell whether touch is doing what it is supposed to be doing but just can't see it. Devices in that state can still be worked with to pull data by finding and looking at screenshots of what you'd be selecting and using the screenshots to guide you where to touch to get to where you can connect to PC and transfer.

Cracked Screen - Need Data from Phone

Help!
Ive got a samsung galaxy s2 - originally it was on the UK Orange network, but since then I have flashed it with a different European firmware (unsure which one).
The screen has cracked therefore I can not use the touch screen at all.
I can not see anything on the screen except the battery level.
I need to take the data off it (pictures, vdeos etc.) which are stored on the phones internal memory.
When I connect it to my windows xp PC, it comes up in My Computer but when I try opening it it shows nothing.
I think this is because I need to unlock the screen (4 digit pin).
When I connect it to Kies, it says I need to enter the screen unlock code - But I can not due to the screen being cracked.
Only the hardware buttons work.
Is there a way I can connect the phone to my PC and get the data off?
I need somesort of app that will allow me to mimic/display the phone screen on my PC so that I can enter this screen unlock code to get into the phone.
Or can I do a refresh (restore factory setting/clear operating system) at boot up so that when it does eventually boot up into the welcome/set up screens, I can connect it to my PC to transfer the data off?
Can someone please help?
The is the Galaxy S 3 forums man, try the Galaxy S 2 threads.

Go to google play on your PC. Log into the google account for that phone. Install "Android Lost" from the market and download your data with it. It's a beta test program but it's free. If it doesn't work you only lost time.
When installed you got to androidlost.com to use it's tools such as wiping the data, or backing it up. I've used it to find phone location, make the phone talk, and take pics from the cameras (in case it's stolen). But I've never tested wiping or backing up data.

[Q] Nexus S - Black screen; can I recover my files?

Hey there. Well, the "Geeks" over at Best Buy deleted all the files off my Mac Pro and my Macbook. I'm devastated. So I've been looking through my old phones to try to recover as many photos as I can of my little boy & some other very important events. They were all backed up on the Macbook & Mac Pro. 4 years of pics & videos. Gone. *sigh*
I found my Nexus S and when I power it on it is stuck on a black screen. I know the device is on because the lights on the bottom are on. When I plug it in to my laptop (pc) I can see it in my Devices but I cannot see it as a drive, which is the way I used to transfer photos from the phone to my computers.
If I remember correctly (I've had 4 phones since I used this one) I had to swipe the screen down from the top to allow my computer to recognize it.
Is there any workaround for this since my screen is dead?
Thanks in advance for your help. <3

You could try to use this method:
[GUIDE][Windows] Making backups with adb
but USB debugging must be turned on on the device...
Do you remember what version of Android was installed on your Nexus S?
One good way to recover deleted files from nexus S is to use android data recovery software, download from: Nexus data recovery
Nexus root toolkit.. Your phone is unlocked?

Use PC screen as a screen for my S7? Screen shattered, but phone works

i was wondering if there's a way to connect my S7 (Tmobile version) to my PC and do some backups from within some apps and get data out of it by using the PC monitor and mouse to navigate the phone screen? i know i can go into file system and whatnot, but is it possible to replicate the phone screen on the PC? thanks a lot for any help
I don't really understad the question... What do you need, to mirror the phone screen on the PC and use its periferics or make a backup of your phone apps?

i have a shattered screen on the S7. the phone itself works - it turns on, it gets audible notifications, etc.. the only thing not working is the screen. i took it to 2 shops and they tried putting new screen on the phone but could not get the new screen to work. so i think there's some sort of short in the electronics from motherboard to screen. ideally, i would like to somehow get the screen working so i can do a backup to cloud of all my contacts, messages, media, whatsapp conversations, etc. but if i can't get the screen working then perhaps i could somehow connect to PC and get what i can from the files. i don't know how to get it to connect to PC at this point because the phone doesn't get recognized on the PC when i connect.

does this require the app to be installed on the device somehow, because i wouldn't be able to do it without a screen present.

I think running the program on your pc will install the app automatically via ADB. No need to interact with the phone

[SOLVED] Help me recover my mother's Note 6 Pro data PLEASE!

Hey everyone!
My mother's Redmi Note 6 Pro logic board got damaged and the screen is black. I tried replacing the LCD and it still does not show any image, but the touch is working fine. I have accepted that the phone is dead but I need to recover the photos and videos from it with a black screen while the touch is still functional.
So, I need someone to record his phone doing 2 things:
Unlock your phone from a PIN lock screen.
Connect the phone to PC via USB and switch to transfer data mode.
I would be more than grateful if someone could help me with this. Your video will guide me on where to tap on the screen (because it is dead!). It is the only way to save my mother's data.
Thanks a lot in advance!
EDIT: I managed to unlock the phone and select the "Transfer files" after connecting the usb cable. Thanks a lot to anyone that tried to help. The issue is solved.
Bro search in YouTube how to turn on debugging in Redmi note 6 pro and from there you can see where to tap and also join the official Redmi note 6 pro telegram group for more help

Hello there,
I just did exactly what I described in the original post. The touch was working but the screen was not displaying any image. After a lot of tries, I managed to unlock the phone, connect the USB cable and select the "transfer files" options on the pop-up window. I did it all blindly but thankfully it worked!
Cheers

Motorola G8 Power: Accessing data without opening lock screen

Hi. I just want to confirm the following first:
- The phone is mine.
- My fingerprint is stored on the phone
The screen got cracked so I had it lying around for 6 months before I got screen replaced. Now no pin code I have goes past the lock screen to open up the phone. I have set it to fingerprint unlock too.
My question is:
Can I access the data without opening up the phone? Going into some sort of developer mode on the phone?
Is it easier to bypass the lock screen and go to the fingerprint option?
I just need some pictures I have on the phone. The phone itself is not important for me to use anymore.
In advance thank you for all the help and if this is not in the right section please let me know where I should go with this.
If phone supports OTG then it should be possible to access user-data stored on phone connecting PC and phone via an USB-C OTG cable.
Thanks for your message. How will I know that the phone supports OTG?
EDIT: Seems like my phone does not support OTG. Mostly Samsung and LG.

Thank you for finding this out. What would be the software needed to use to get the data extracted?
Once connection is established you should see the Android's /data partion on Windows computer using Explorer.

Without needing to open up the Motorola phone?
Phone of course must got successfully powered on: Then it's detected as any USB-Host device, too.
I have ordered the OTG cable. It will arrive tomorrow. I will give you an update on how it worked here.
Thank you.
I just talked to Motorola support and their view was that it would not work. I will still try this but not sure if this has to do with the fact that the phone is in lock screen mode?
