Just purchased a brand new A9 (factory unlocked)
When i insert my sim it will not connect to my provider... it works with my wifes vodafone sim no problem but not with mine....also not asking for a sim unlock code like if it was network locked....spoke to my provider tech support and he reckoned it is partial blocked ??
But if i buy an unlock code i have no way of entering it as no prompt to do so..
Any ideas or help would be much appreciated...
Thank you

i have a t-mobile sim G1 still keeps asking for a sim network unlock code

Hello i bought a G1 on E-bay and have a T-mobile sim card when i power on the phone boots and goes into a screen asking me for a :SIM network unlock pin.
Why should i enter such a pin as i am already using a t-mobile sim.
(phone is UK version i live in the Netherlands).
Any help would be appreciated
It's because you have Netherland T-Mobile SIM card.
It has different network id.
You have to unlock it first or use with UK T-Mobile SIM card.
Finish
Simply enough As long as your account has been in good standing for 3 months (you paid ur bill)
Call the customer service
ask for representative
then ask for your G1 Sim unlock pin
they will ask Why you need it (probably offer roaming plans)
simply explain you are leaving the country and would like to use your g1 with another (local) sim card. While you are gone. THEY SHOULD give it for free
if not a small fee attached to your account (15?!?)
((as for why it does it. Different region codes each country has its own))
Thanx for your reactions, the problem is now solved got the code of of E-bay.
Goingh through customer service t-mobile UK was gonna take to much time for me.
Case closed.

Hello Filipe.
I don't know any way of unlocking the sim for free on the newer phones.
I'm from Portugal too and I think that every store that sells cellphones unlocks the SIM. My father took his phone to a store to unlock it and he payed 15 euros I guess. it's not to expensive
Best regards,
kaeOzZ
Are you trying to unlock the sim from the network or unlock the phone from the network ?

The phone from the network
There is many different techniques usable through just googling and seeing whats out there however i believe the easiest/most secure way is paying the providers fee :crying:
However their are lot of websites that say you can do it but most say it still costs you would need to find the one for your phone + network etc so i cant really help that much but send in a thumbs up if i have

[Q] SIM network unlock PIN - Moto G

Hello,
I bought a Moto G cellphone in Chile. Now I came to Canada and I bought a prepaid SIM card at Bell. The phone's asking for a "SIM network unlock PIN" - the cellphone was unlocked for all companies in Chile. I thought it was unlocked for every place in the world.
What can I do?
bump! does anyone knows how to fix?
What is your system version? Does it has the "utdms" on the system name? I think if it has that, it is network unlocked. Otherwise its networked locked.
That sounds more like the SIM you bought is locked with a PIN. I think the message is different if the phone is locked to a particular carrier. How many digits is it asking for? A SIM PIN is 4 digits, while a typical unlock code is 8 digits.
that's exactly what it asks me... no particular number or nothing.... i don't know what to do about it, i want to be able to talk in my phone!

Network partially unlocked

Hello,
maybe somebody can enlighten me or help me.
I have SM-G930S which my girlfriend made the account for me here in korea. When I brought my phone to my home country (manila), I used local sim and it recognized and I even used it in philippines.
However, now she wanted to use with her local sim (KT Telecom), it is not recognizing or not acquiring any signal at all from KT. I know that her sim card is not locked to current device because I try to use her sim to my old S3 and it does acquire signal from KT.
Now my question is, is there a way to unlock my phone so that she can use it for her own telecom? Right now, my phone is registered to SK telecom.
Thanks

Galaxy A50 ( SM-520W) Network Pin blocked

Hello friends,
I got Galaxy A50 network locked from foreign Country ( Canada ) , Firstly, It was asking to enter network unlock code but i didn't had any unlock code. Then, i gave it to one shop for unlock network code. They took 2 weeks but could't fix it. Then, I contacted back Canada to carrier with which my mobile was locked. I explained them everything. They said that your contract is over now and they can provide me network unlock code for free. I have given them my IMEI number and they replied me back with unlock code. I was very happy. But, When i turned my mobile on with new sim card then it was telling " Sim Network PIN blocked, Please Enter sim PUK code. I believe that shop people entered wrong network PIN too many times. So my question is , Which Sim network PUK code my mobile is asking??? The SIM that shop people used or the original carrier back from Canada or the sim i am inserting in current situation?? I have tried to put PUK code of my current situation and original carrier back from Canada but no success. What will be next possible way to fix it??
Please help me out
Thanks
Inder
