Network partially unlocked - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

Hello,
maybe somebody can enlighten me or help me.
I have SM-G930S which my girlfriend made the account for me here in korea. When I brought my phone to my home country (manila), I used local sim and it recognized and I even used it in philippines.
However, now she wanted to use with her local sim (KT Telecom), it is not recognizing or not acquiring any signal at all from KT. I know that her sim card is not locked to current device because I try to use her sim to my old S3 and it does acquire signal from KT.
Now my question is, is there a way to unlock my phone so that she can use it for her own telecom? Right now, my phone is registered to SK telecom.
Thanks

cant connect to mobile network in japan

Hey guys this might be a weird one or very easy.
I bought my huawei ascend mate 7 in china in december 2014, has been working all good so far but while im in japan on holiday I havent been able to connect to the mobile network here at all.
I bought an "international sim" which is a sim service working through ecuador for some reason (dont ask lol)
and bought a data sim here in japan, both nano sims which ive entered the APN information for to no avail
My amaysim sim card from australia isnt working in the main sim slot either (although i didnt intend to use it so I havent activated roaming which is $8k per gb rofl)
When I go to the carrier list to try to choose a carrier the only ones that come up are chinese carriers like china mobile etc, im not sure if this has something to do with it since my phone has been working in australia using the auto select setting.
Any help would be much appreciated since ive lost my visa card and all sorts of horrid **** so im really pretty stuck at the moment.

Verizon HTC ONE M8 to work in Canada?

Hello all, I have an HTC One M8 that I bought while working in the US for a year. I am back in Canada and want to use it with Rogers or Bell doesn't matter who. I thought it was unlocked so I could use with anything but apparently I was miss-guided.
When I put in a Rogers SIM card it says SIM from Unknown Source or something along those lines. When I go into about in settings I can see that it picks up the signal for rogers and also shows my cell phone number. I'm guessing there is some sort of way I can make this thing work here?
Can I overwrite the ROM and put a Rogers ROM in? I have no clue. This is about as far as I get with phone tech.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi!
Verizon M8 is sold "internationally unlocked", so Verizon customers can use it everywhere in the world: not just the CDMA networks (Verizon's) but also in GSM networks (most widely spread standard). I live in Spain and mine works in a GSM/LTE network perfectly and it does too in France, Germany or Italy.
For your mobile to work in Canada, you have to make sure your phone is sim unlocked. If you purchased it to verizon you can ask them to remotely unlock it, as you've paid for it, and they will. They may take some time, but they will. Once it is sim unlocked, you will be able to use it with any other operator's sim.
Note that, even when it is sim unlocked (and functional), you may be receiving a notification of "unknown sim" when the phone starts and an icon in the tray. It's just a software issue, as it will work, but to make it dissapear you have to do much more complicated things (unlock the bootloader, get root privileges) and i'm not sure it is worth if you're not familiarized with these sort of things.

Please Help, I don't know what provider my phone is locked to.

Hello,
I received a phone a few months ago for free from a woman I used to babysit her dogs for. The phone is a Samsung Galaxy S4 and it has the original SIM card in it, but under the about phone, it says Network Unavailable and No SIM card inserted. The lady does not remember where she got the phone from, and I don't know what to do to find out what provider it is locked to or if it even is locked. I live in Texas, and the phone came from Oklahoma. The lady used Pioneer Cellular then right before giving the phone to me, switched to US Cellular. She had the exact same type of phone from both companies. Both was contract as well. Anyone please help me. I want to use it for Straight Talk, cause where I live is a country road and the service is sucky.
If you can root the phone you might be able to unlock it, making the carrier useless. Or you could try to Google the IMEI and see if that yields any results.

I went to a site called imeidata.net and these was the results:

IMEIData Database: Maintain
AT&T (USA): IMEI is not recognized in AT&T
Verizon (USA): Clean (GSM or Activated by other User)
T-Mobile (USA): Unknown
Sprint (USA): Unknown
Cricket (USA): Clean
Metro PCS (USA): Clean
Telus (Canada): Clean
Telenor (Sweden): Clean
Softbank (Japan): IMEI is not recognized in Softbank
AU KDDI (Japan):
I don't know what this means, can anyone help with it?

Unlocked note 8 AT&T but no gsm sim works

Hi everyone
I’m kinda puzzled with this note 8 and need some advice. Recently got a note 8 from AT&T and since I was traveling I had it unlocked to use by a third party company ( since att doesn’t unlock until Device payment is complete)
I got the code, unlocked the phone successfully. Before I left USA I put a working T-Mobile sim to test if connectivity, no luck, it doesn’t work, I tried a Verizon sim, nothing works....
Note... this T-Mobile sim and Verizon sim if I put it on a different device it will work...
any reason why this is happening

The phone is not unlocked. Seems like an error happened when you got the unlock code. I'd try again.
Did you use this device on the att network? I mean, do you have it activated?
If you unlocked it by codes and the message after inserting the code is something like "unlock successfull" then your device must accept other GSM SIM cards.
Also, I would recommend you place a 5 min call with your device, with the att sim card and then insert again the tmob card.
What is the message when you insert the tmobile card in this device?
I did the same thing by using a Tmobile SIM during the unlocking process, and it worked on TMobile right after I unlocked it. It sounded like you did not unlock it using a different network SIM but using some other method. I am not sure if that mattered or not.
I then traveled to Asia, and I bought and used a local SIM card with zero issues. The 4G LTE was faster in that country than AT&T... LOL

can phone be Network locked but has no brand?

I was asked to solve this problem by a woman I know.
She got this phone, S7 edge, SM-G935F, through her relative.
Her relative, bought this phone from internet and it had network lock.
I know this is a very repetitive story in this community but I didnt really find a solution.
First thing i did is see the message by plugging in my local SIM (Saudi Arabia cuz i live here) "SIM network pin blocked enter sim network puk"
and then I factory reset the phone to clear out some stuff that she has downloaded (just to remove possible errors.)
So found out that the phone is an international version, and the csc code suggests that its for Spain(?) (PHE) (And also when I factory reset the device and turned it on, the language on device was Spanish for the setup)
I was in Europe for a trip for about 2 weeks, so I had a Vodafone SIM from Czech republic. When I plugged that in, it did not say network locked, instead it proceeded to roaming state.
Now I'm wondering> The phone does not have a brand neither on the phone itself nor systemically. So I have no idea which network it's locked to (I'm thinking it's Europe tho (in general))
But from the vodafone sim working on it, is it possible that this phone is locked to vodafone? or is it the Saudi SIM that's locked to work on other regional versions of phones?
Because this will decide if I need the network unlock code from European service providers or Saudi ones.. I'm actually thinking of changing the firmware if that will unlock the phone. Is this possible as well?
Thank you in advance.
