Guys I downloaded cm security n using cm launcher. But my friends say that cm security is not good and the cm launcher drains phone battery fast. So I want to know is that true. If it's true plzzzzzz tell me which which launcher is best n security app too
I use the "total launcher" launcher, because you can 100% customize it... For app lock I suggest you use "applock".
Sent from Lenovo a6000 1GB version.
No bro am asking about cm security n it's launcher. Not other launchers
You said "tell me which launcher is the best and security lock" lol
Dude am asking that if cm security is gud or bad. That's it
Its bad for the battery and ram consumption. I just listed some better ones

Without installing a custom ROM, I dont know of a way to just remove it. But, you can install a new launcher from the market. Try Nova or Apex. They wont change everything like the dialer and notification bar, but they do change a lot.

Some lauchers do, but some don't... you will have to try different ones to see which is for you. Try ADW or Launcher pro.

some more than others, but it doesn't affect mine too much
Im using Apex and just installed it today so I cant really give you to much detail on the battery life just yet. I would just experiment. The good thing about launchers is you can always uninstall them and try a different one without messing up the original Touchwiz.

I ment that windows and ios apps/operating system send data to to microsoft/apple
i know android software even if its stock crap **** is open source but i can imagine some evil samsung devs (or whoever) developing apps wich spy out ur data cus they think the mayority of the users dont understand even one line of text in the source code of the app
so may it be dangerous/not clever to use stock apps?
does somebody know something about that?
it would interest me
I wouldn't say that google is a saint either...
One look at the data available to "maps" and you can have all doubts clear...not to mention that data is collected on the basis of "personalization" of advertisement (admob)...
I usually stay away from closed sourced apps, and prefer open source apps and platforms wherever possible...
And let's just not get started on the extent to which manufacturers and carriers mess with android and its privacy management...

If you want some of the extra features you'll need to look towards something like Mahdi which has hover plus a lot of other stuff.
Give a chance to stock in this device. Most likely you won't need 99% of the stuff Touchwiz conveniently shoves in your face and you will feel a device at least as twice as fast.

OPO... my mind is always tempted to write OPPO... which kinda is true.
The build quality, included storage (64GB vs 16GB), software and even battery life are better for me.
With that much space, not having an SD Card is not a problem to me.
Camera seems to be good, maybe not as good as the S5 in daylight but very good on it's own.
My S5 even when having top of the line specs (38k+ in Antutu) lagged thanks to Touchwiz. Never again.
^^ what he said. I've had galaxy devices since they were released. Believe me cm is MUCH better. Take some time to immerse yourself in the settings - it will really amaze you how much faster cm is.
Cm is actually one of the plainer aosp ROMs - check out carbon or liquid smooth - tweaktastic!
But... Touchwiz is the Satan of ROMs! Touchwiz is so slow and filled with useless blaotware from Samsung. I'd rather use Sense 6.

I like touchwhiz because of S health.
I really want to buy a OPO but i use S health every day and i will miss it so hard.
Never found a decent alternative (accuracy or battery usage)
I find touchwiz to have better interface than native opo. What I specifically miss on the opo is
1) having the home screens wrap around.
2) let me sort my total list of applications my way.
3) unread count on sms/mms.
4) easy creation of home screens to the left.
I haven't noticed touchwiz to be slow on my S2.

Does it have fullscreen music cover art on the lockscreen?
What was the main features which made you upgrade? The main one tempting me is the Move to sd option but its not quite a big enough reason to upgrade consdidering many apps can still do this on KK.
I'm totally on the fence about lollipop. I waited and waited on the update but now the thought of re-setting up all my zooper widgets and all the xposed modules i will lose I'm kinda putting off the upgrade.....
Plus I'm not crazy on the Material design.... i actually prefer the blurred/transparent look than bright colours and flat shapes. Blurred UI xposed module is a great little app that does this.
Can anyone tempt me to upgrade? Any nice features i don't know about? How is performance?

WiFi is working without any problems here...
UI is only what you see but it's not everything about UI, 5.0.2 is faster, smoother then KK and safer (all security patches and updates)...batery consumption is better optimised...
Xposed is working fine now and it won't be long while we get all modules we had on KK here on L.
There aren't reason for you that could force you to upgrade but that's logical step to do...
Try..if you don't like it, downgrade and stay on KK but give it a chance... I'm sure you'll change your mind

if you want to keep using EMUI as launcher you gotta root your device and flash the modded stock rom that someone here on xda made. I you don't care about it just install another launcher, they all have app drawers.
Idk about the different phone models though

oh ok thnx for the reply , any hint on where can i find the modded official emui ?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-7/development/rom-erykinemt7-v1-0-0-mt7-l09-b137sp03-t3044695
this is the rom I meant, it needs unlocked bootloader, didn't test it but it looks like it's working fine.
I haven't flashed any roms on the mate 7 yet so you better not ask me for help.
I think you know about the dangers of flashing roms and stuff like that, so prepare well and be patient, otherwise you can **** up which will cost you a lot of time..
I would rather suggest you to just get a launcher, Emui isn't that great so flashing a to rom only for an app drawer seems useless to me: silly:
You could try App Swap on the play store. This will give you an App drawer via the home button.

I have to disagree with you and I'll explayin you why, please take some time to read that:
A launcher is just a small part of what makes a phone worth buying, not only looking at the fact that you can replace it so easily and also that stock launchers are way worse than custom launcher anyways, but also because this phone offers a lot more than just its launcher.
Take me for example:
I love rooting and testing roms, flash things on my phone and customize it till it's perfect. Still I choose this device, a Huawei which has such a weak modding scene, there are almost no roms while other phones like Samsungs and HTCs or any other brand with so many great roms, so much community support and so on. Still I bought this phone because it has a huge screen which is perfect for me because I love watching videos, series and animes. I could also get a galaxy note, which has all the modding and community stuff I previously mentioned. But they are way more expensive and I don't want to spend too much on a phone because I have other things I need money for. Then why didn't I choose the Huawei P8 Max with an even larger screen and better specs? Because it's too big in my opinion, it's not really comfortable in my everyday life, holding it with one hand is really difficult. Next factor is the look and feel, if I pay hundres of euros for a phone I want it to feel like it's worth the money, and this phone definetly does, it's aluminium, the screen to body ratio is great and the overall looks is fantastic. Then I need much space for all my music because I listen to music where ever I go, and this phone has an sd card slot. I also love the fingerprint scanner, it's way easier and faster than unlocking with an code. And most of the bad things about the phone are the things I don't really care about: camere is not the best, but I only make some photos at parties or some snapshots to send them to my friends, none of that requires a good camera and if it would I would rather spend my money on a real camera and not on a phone. The cpu/gpu is also not the best anymore since you get better specs with the newer and cheaper Huaweis, but since I only do simple things with my phone and only play games which don't need much power (so none of the 3d/realistic games) I am satisfied with this phone. The software isn't the best too but I can live with an older android version, it works just as fine as the newer ones, and I don't really care for the security issues. EMUI also isn't the best software out there, but I replaced my launcher with smart launcher which I've been using for years, and the only thing from EMUI I notice is the notification bar, which works fine. Almost forgot the batterie: 4100 mAh (!), which is huge, the big screen drains some battery of course but by far not enough for this batterie.
Now tell me which phones you know which cover all of my claims? None. There may be some alternatives which are similar to the mate 7, but none of them is better.
I hope you actually read this and change your mind, and if not atleast don't insult people as retards for having different prioritys than you when buying a phone.

That's your opinion, many of us love and are used to an app drawer
In EMUI 3.1 / Lollipop it is possible to hide apps. Once hidden they are placed into a hidden app drawer.
To hide apps, use 2 fingers to pinch out (spread) the screen. The hidden apps drawer should appear where you can then add apps by selecting the add icon. Hidden apps can still be launched from the drawer as normal..
I installed smart launcher pro, chose it as default launcher and it works nice. I also installed Google Now and then set that as default and uninstalled smart launcher. It's only a launcher, not the whole UI for the phone.
The only thing that could be an issue is if there are standard widgets the 3rd party launcher will not use, like the built in message app for instance. I want to root my Mate7 to de-bloat it and I'll use Google Messenger instead.
