Hi guys,
I downloaded the full OTA 571 from the link here. Unzipped it and found one file "update.app". I loaded this file in "dload" folder on my SD card. Then followed what I normally did before to upgrade from SD card. but it failed right away....any idea what's going on? Thanks!
Same issue here... I'm on c900b560

You don't need to unzip OTA package. You should leave it in zip file.
Only full package you need to unzip.

First change region to eu. Here's how to do it:
Download this file:
https://mega.nz/#!UsZz1JJY!8y92sSzjRhalMhrq2dImF87iNneJ8HpXmh6KQ8Eo8LI
now copy oeminfo to dev/block/platform/hi_mci.0/by-name/ and set permissiom to 0777
now copy custom bin to system root/data and set permission to 0777
Go to system root/system and edit build.prop
ro.build.flavor=JAZZ-user
ro.product.model=JAZZ
to
ro.build.flavor=MT7-L09-user
ro.product.model=HUAWEI MT7-L09
save and reboot. Now download full package C432B560 unzip it to get UPDATE.APP and flash it.
Now go to updater and download OTA B571.

Hey Pablo,
I did what you said, the region changed, but it didn't help to update to b571 via normal update procedure. I had to use TWRP backup.
And build.prop keeps changing those two lines back to JAZZ, but this doesn't affect the region or settings->about phone menu.
So I think there is something else needs to be fixed to get rid of JAZZ.

You guys had the clockworkmod bootstrap installed. Uninstalling it does not restore two files that were changed in the system partition. This has been discussed many times in this forum. The bootstrapper backed them up when it changed them so you just need root (I use Root Explorer) and restore the two backed up files. Once you do that the OTA should install.
[Removing CWM Recovery]
1) Delete file /system/bin/logwrapper
2) Delete file /system/bin/hijack
3) Rename file /system/bin/logwrapper.bin to /system/bin/logwrapper
4) Delete directory /preinstall/recovery
If you had the boot into recovery hack then you need to restore this file also.
[Removing CWM on Boot]
1) Delete file /system/bin/mot_boot_mode
2) Rename file /system/bin/mot_boot_mode.bin to /system/bin/mot_boot_mode
Hello guys... I have never had clockwork mode recovery but I have some custom recovery, busy box, debloater that I have used to get Google Now on my Leaked 1 ICS Android... I receive error after rebooting and I don't know why and don't know where to find the logs... Now I uninstalled all these applications that could have caused some changes in the /sys folder and I am trying it again? What should I do?
UPDATE: Update error again!

First off check last_log in cache and look what error it is giving.try a factory reset from the recovery.if you removed bloatware to install google now that would probably do it.you gotta replace them.but first check last_log

Sorry for my noob question but how can I check last_log in cache? I am sort of new to this kind of stuff!!!
1.root your phone
2.download es file explorer from market (free)
3.open es file explorer, enable root explorer in setting, go to cache/recovery

Are you rooted???
If yes use any file explorer root explorer,ES file explorer and the when you are in the root of your device you will see a cache folder there you will find last log
If you are not rooted in while updating just press vol up+vol down it will show you the details why the installation is failing.note the apk or lib that gives the error you need to fiz them.and btw try a wipe data from the recovery most files will be back up.

Simple answer, no.
You need either find and install DLNA.apk or fxz back to 2.3.6.
Sorry my question was not really understandable... The last question didn't have to do with the rest of the thread... I was asking for the backup cause I didn't want to lose them... I FXZ back at 2.3.5 and now I am at 4.0.4... I made a full backup when I was in the Leak #1... Now when I restore it back, will I have all my configurations or it is not worth it to restore it? And also will that restore the damaged file of DLNA as it was or nothing to do with that!!

You can not restore a backup from a different release, it is not wise and can cause a boot loop..... What are you worried about losing? Do you sync mail, and contacts and such? If you do you should be ok. The ONLY thing you will have to do is reinstall apps, and that is easy in the play store, just go to the my apps tab I think it is, and install all the ones you have in there that you want back on the phone. Yeah it is a PIA, to do an fxz then ota, then reinstall all your apps, but that is the price we pay for "hacking" our phones sometimes.

Try a different root browser (like root explorer) - I think ES has issues with actual root operations.
Other options might be adb or terminal emulator - but need to know a few commands for that..

Also, if I have a modified system or framework with anything such as Xposed, will flashing the system.img for the current android version always revert it so I can sideload the newest update? And if I have a custom kernel I would have to do the boot.img as well?

Yes, to both your questions. If you have a custom kernel you'll need to boot.img too
I edited stock ROM to get bigger performance, and speed

Hi..
first of all thanks for making this.
I have put in this rom (mega link: SpeedRom_V_1.0_TechTex198.zip) in /ex_sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS | sdcard/TWRP/backups
In TWRP (v2.8.7.0) when I am under Restore I cannot Select "Stock Edited ROM SM-G318H"
Please suggest.

I am afraid I could not understand you here.
This is what I have done:
I tried this location in the internal storage:
sdcard/TWRP/backups
I also tried this location in external sd card:
ex_sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS
In both the cases, I could not select "Stock Edited ROM SM-G318H"
I hope I am quite clear in what I have done so far. I am using TWRP (v2.8.7.0) to do this work.
Please help.

Hi,
I've tried this but without success, have you tried in your device? Witch TWRP?
After unzip the folder and put on twrp folder I reboot into twrp / restore from external SD but don't appear that folder, no twrp folder or backup folder or firmware folder, I think the version of the twrp isn't correct (2.8.0.7) for this device SM-G318H, can you provide the correct twrp?
If o try install that folders appears but this is to flash zip

You must flash theme mte 9 via twrp.
What's your full model? MHA-LxxCxxxBxxx?
You can flash this link for fix theme.

My themes are located in /data/hw_init/version/region_comm/oversea/themes
It's fixed by flashing hw data and public data.
That will fix missing apps, and system update too.
It's fix by add default theme only.
thanks for advices. i solved my problem with rebranding method. Now i m on custom rom and everything is working well.
this is my solution ( made by me ) after trying many solutions over this forum @ other forums
just
1- delete any folder for themes u made (as hw_init or themes in root folder or at any site )
2- make folder & name it ( HWTHemes ) in internal memory
3- download this folder & put it inside (HWTHemes )
4- go to themes app and chose ** Aqua theme ** & apply it
5- no need to change any permissions
this was try on huawei y 7 2017

I can't do that. Some error appears.
I tried to copy the zip to external sd card and flash through twrp. But said can't mout system....
Mount things is my real problem right now...
The folders in twrp appears with random names. I think the things are encrypted... How can bypass that?

I'm been able to get the themes working again by flashing update public and full ota through twrp with external sd card...
Will this method work for the Huawei p10? My themes don't apply when i set them either using a custom rom.
