my new D6633 Z3 dual ....i opened the package my self
turns out to have a speakers problems : sometimes it makes noise with notifications .... i never thought its a problem ...
anyhow .... my phone got splashed with water in a pool , IT DID NOT touch the pool , just a splash in the lower speaker ..
5 minutes later .... no screen and no touch response !!!!! .....
so in a maintenance center they opened the phone and found water coming from the lower speaker which turned out its NOT completely sealed , or broken sealed , which makes the noise also in sounds .....
my friend who bought also same phone with me Had EXACTLY the same issue ....
i had to replace screen with 115$ ..... SHAME ON YOU SONY !
BE CAREFUL FRIENDS ...
If they acknowledged that the water came from the speaker not properly sealed it's entirely a defect and you shall not pay anything (even out of warranty).

True, but in my country there is no sony service centre, so it was my friend who fixed it for me. ( commercial service center)

I think that you somehow ( by pressing power button as you mentioned) broke the display :/ so the only solution is to change the display by yourself or samsung custom service but i hope that im wrong!

If your screen turns out to be really broken, don't be afraid of switching it yourself.
Just don't make the same mistake I made (twice). Buy the new display from a store that's specialised in mobile spareparts, not from ebay. If the display doesn't look exactly like the one you took out of your phone, send it back. I had a bent and scratched one and one that had lower resolution and no brightness control. Insane, who hopes to make profit from that?
This page shows you how to disassemble a G3: http://www.formymobile.co.uk/i5800disassembly.php I recommend using a guitar pick for all steps.

thanks for trying to help turboblaz, but i have already disassembled the handset and inspected it from all sides, there is no bleeding ,crack or scratch of any kind on it and moreover the placement of the power button is such that it wont harm the display even if its pressed with a moderate to hard pressure.

thanks martialaw ,yeah i know hw to dissamble this handset ,actually i hve done it twice before, once for replacing the menu key button and the other time for replacing the audio jack. moreover i know a good shop which sells good mobile spare parts
i had checked it with the service centre , the price of the audio jack there was 650 inr along with the replacement so i bought it from that spare shop ,it costed meh around 150 inr n works perfectly fine even after 6 months. So im guessing that the price of the lcd display at the service centre would be around 1500 inr and at the local market it would be around 500 inr,but i am just worried about its contrast and brightness as u mentioned and moreover what if the display is fine and the problem is with the board or other things.

sounds familiar. I spent 1200 inr on ebay, twice, both crap. Then 2100 inr in a proper shop, which finally looked like the original part on the circuit area. Dunno if those prices can be compared, I converted them from Euros for you. Go for a original part and try to keep the option to give it back if it turns out the error lies within another component. gl&hf
Hi. I have a Sony Xperia M2 Aqua, which is supposedly a waterproof phone.
However...
A couple of days ago, my phone got an accidental contact with water for a couple of seconds (4-5 maybe) -
completely submerged - and then both the loudspeaker and the ear speaker lost much of their volume and just
sounded very faded and fuzzed out...
This lasted for a approx. day... the next day my phone was back to normal by itself.
My question is: is this situation 'normal' for a waterproof phone? How does this phone really handle water?
Can anyone tell me? Or should I go ask for a refund on basis of false advertising and features?
Tell me your 'watery' situations with the Xperia M2 Aqua - if you had any and how it was like. Thank you for the support.

It'a normal for all waterproof phones. My dad's Z2 is also like that.
The M2 Aqua is IP68 certified. That means it should be completely dust tight and indefinitely resist immersions beyond 1m:

This if it is sealed, though (all flaps closed tight). If anything was open it has probably got wet and started to work again after it dried up internally.
Thank you all for the feedback.
One last question: if it ever happened for the phone to become damaged by water
while having all its ports waterproofed, does the warranty cover the repairs?
Or should I not expect any support or refund?
[EDIT] Miche1asso, all ports were sealed. Only the loudspeaker and the earspeaker got fuzzed
as I mentioned up above.
Hi,
I expose my problem , I made my z3 fell and I broke the front glass screen, the touch being out of order, so i got to a fix shop in order they repair my phone..
..1 month later I get my phone, ( they had antenna problem following the change of the screen and touch , .. )
here I am in possession since 2weeks and the screen starts to "take off" I guess cause there are no screws , and a "gap" be created everywhere around the frame , annoying, it is no longer water proof .. ^^
My question: have you a solution to pick the " self" that must t he use?
Sorry for my bad english.
Thank you to you, the community
Best regards.
Today I went out for fishing, and of course my s7 is with me, took a few pictures underwater, and then i noticed that camera is blurry, i check it out and saw condensation under lense , will they fix it on waranty for me or will they just say, hey he was underwater? I'll left him overnight in rice, when I was ejecting the sim and microsd slot out, there were fer drops on water od sim card and sd card ? And I can see that sticker in sim slot is red ( means it was wet ) ... any sugestions ? Thank you
Lol...it's water resistant not water proof...it was designed for like rain or quick splashes or drops..not deliberately dunking your phone.

Dude, so u think i didnt know that ? I asked for advice what to tell them on waranty service , my s5 was 2 meters under water filming pike about 200 times and never a single problem

If the device still works properly, the condesation will go away in a few days. I dropped my s4 in water and had the same condesation on the front camera but it went away in a few days
The condensation will go away with the time. Make sure to avoid wet places or keep your phone with the screen facing down and the SD/SIM slot out in a dry place for some time. It will help to dry the condensation faster.
Thanks for help guys, I'll wait 2-3 days, now I record 4k video + flash + charger = ultra hot phone, opened the sd/sim tray, and puted him in rice.... btw. 4k limit is not 10min, i'm curently at 14mins
ok now my volume up button stopped working, omg
UPDATE : i sent him to warranty service because '' VOLUME UP '' is not working, now just wait and hope for the best
UPDATE : samsung accepted warranty and replaced my mother board, they stated something stupid like '' a result of the use of devices''
took my phone 6 months ago. When the summer comes, my phone began to overheat. i live in a very hot place. after that, on the screen, yellow spots began to appear . I called the Sony turkey. They told me to send to the service. i send to service, service says that ; this error is user side error .they say the phone is bend , they said screen change is required. The phone does not have any bend. they lied, they all know, snapdragon is become very hot in a hot country. they knew it was a chronic error in xperia z3,z3+, z5. After that, sony turkey says it was my fault.
Shame sony, shame sony turkey. Shame of all.
i used xperia z, xperia z2, they dont give any error. i trust in sony but now, i hate them.
Please look at photos. I dont bend my phone or I dont sit down on it. And I have this spots.

Based on your provided screenshot, I agree with you that its not bent and no signs of deformation either.
Just the yellow spots on edges somehow they looked that the screen is pressed hard against something. Normally screen damage to overheat is just on a single spot.
But also please take a look on this one as this might help your claim. Endpipe of the heatsinks installed on Z5 likely corresponds to the positions of the yellow spots:
If im right, heat pipe design is to dissipate heat away from the source to its ends. So heat is concentrated there
hi,
i have the same issue, but at the left side.

Same thing is happening to my father's Z2...
So, this is not just for z3+ or z5...
Same thing happened to me at top left edge, and few days ago it grew a bit larger along the edge, most likely due to overheating.
