Hi there,
I don't know why this isn't an option for all keyboards, it's such a quality of life improvement.
Anyway it would be cool to have a number row for the Sense keyboard.
I would do it myself but unfortunately I am not a developer.
If someone is willing to do this provide me a donation link .

I found them recently and tried them (trial is free).
One is for thumbs the others for pen.
From my experience SlideIt is a must !!! Thumbkey is not bad as well
Are they so new that I found no thread on this venerable forum ?

Videos are available
Have you tried them ? What do you think ?
I just saw the video and did some searching and I found this thread. It seems pretty cool.
uh. no. i'll take the default keyboard and stylus anyday
WOW!
The first app is incredible!!
I must try it....
Is there an ITALIAN vocabulary for it?
Now the keyboards are for free !!!

As they should have been from the beginning....
the first one is a cool idea but look combersum...
also the keyboard looks bad... i like my cmkeyboard w/ iphone skin much better
A good surprise
I downloaded SlideIT demo without any expectation. I heard so many times about a breakthrough.... and 50 words/minute ?? hum....
But this time I have to say I was really surprised. This is certainly the best keyboard available.
Sliding +grafiti + prediction give really good results and speed is improved.
The demo is very powerful. It is worth to try it
I guess you have to use the stylus, huh? I like PCM and TouchPal because you can use the stylus or your fingers.
I like the premise, but I don't know it I see it becoming my main form of input.
Not quite a "Breakthrough". Now, if I could just think it and my PPC does it, that would be a Breakthrough.....

Thank you for the tip
I tried the demo also. Shame its Qvga on my diamond touch. Anyone who can modify it to a VGA version?
Posted an update on the Blackstone forum, but I figured it is useful for others as well.
IBM have finally released ShapeWriter Text Input for WinMob. It's available as a 30 day trial version. I've been very impressed with it, you might want to check it out.

im using FingerKeyBoard2 right now
i used to have PCMKEYBOARD v.23 and it was ok
im wondering what you guys think what the best keyboard is.
CooTek TouchPal for me
Also Touchpal for me
TouchPal FTW! I've used it since it came out, and haven't found anything better. It's all in the auto predict. I can type about 40-60 WPM on my desktop 180-220 WPM with TouchPal and my thumb.

Couldn't agree more with the members above ! And I've tried most the favorable keyboards out there.
Absolutely the best keyboard app ever. Watch the video and read the whole page to unlock its true potential. Look.......HERE
Oh and FYI, CooTek is about to release a new version (V4) by the end of April. I was offered to beta test the pre-release version, and of course I said yes! I will be posting first impressions, etc here at PPCGeeks and the cootek forum.

Yeah that one is good and was my favourite but it doesn't have the deep layers of Touchpal.
Overall, touchpal is more intuitive.
ya i use to use the cooltek one but it was too slo for me
i like things u can use using ur thumb and nvr acually looking at ur phone
lol because im still in high skoo and i text in class lol
touchpal is also one of my favorites...
My favorite is PocketCM Keyboard 0.14
Finger Keyboard 2 is great but ergonomic don't suits me : I'm still looking for a better layout
Hey
What in you opinion is currently the best dialer for ASOP (other than the default one and excluding CM's)?
For me the AOSP Dialer is the best. I don't feel the need to change it at all, although the Cyanogen ROM version does have extra features. The stock one was fine for me though too.

Thanks for your opinion
There has to be others I imagine...
There is no "best". It's all tradeoffs between features/lightness, providing some specific features or providing other ones, then there's the matter of looks.

Well on a general level:
"Best" SMS: Handcent
"Best" virutal keyboard: Swype
"Best" ROM: Cyanogen
Yes like you said there are tradeoffs but on a general level....
Im looking personally for feature rich

Nope. It's purely your subjective view. I don't use Handcent, so it's definitely not "best".

I'm totally ok with the stock Gingerbread keyboard so, again, nothing "best" about Swype. And if you ssh into Linux boxes, Hacker's Keyboard is a must.

In that case install Dialer One, and drown in the thousands of options it has
But on the other hand, myDialer Lite has pretty much no configurable options and yet isn't far behind Dialer One in what you can do with it (well, there's the big difference in that myDialer isn't a Contacts organizer, while Dialer One is). So one could definitely see myDialer as "better", because it gives you the works without requiring you to sift through thousands of options.
See what I mean about there not being a "best"?

By nonofficial standards it is. Integration, quick reply, etc. make it better than stock and others out there.
Thats why (but as you commented) by nonofficial standards it is the "best"

Hacker's keyboard is the "best" for ssh. On another note, it is designed for tablets not phones.
Swipe has been known for its quick typing, great prediction, etc.

Yes there is a "best" but like I commented: by nonofficial standards. That means what you think is the best, might not be for me, you or for the garbage man.

This sentence makes no sense. How can something be "best" if everyone chooses differently? Something that is best will have community consensus that it is the best and will be the most used of all apps that offer the same service. None of the stuff you write above meets that criteria.

A team that wins a sports event might not be the "best" They might have won on luck or another situation.
Another example
Hey Guys,
since i don't have the permission to aks this in the development thread of this rom, i have to ask here. sure it would be a lot faster, but rules are rules...
My question is about this awesome rom: Primo-S - 1.0 - beta
So, i want to know if i can change the skin of the bottom dock in the sense launcher? Maybe like the dock in this one? Especially the transparent skin
Would be great to know, if somebody use it before and can try for me.
Looking forward to test this rom and thanks a lot for you anwers!!
Greetings, henp
I think i need to say, that this ROM has just come out! It's still very early in development! Sense 4.0 isn't even officially out! So the answer to your question is no, however if you go to personalise in settings, you'll see skins and while it may not be transparent, it does give you a bit of variety.
thanks! will try out in a few minutes.
Maybe you know which languages are available?

Please mod, close this, or that one. -.-
jellybean keyboard is not same with perfect keyboard. there's two version of perfect keyboard. the first one is a free version with limited option and the other one is pro version with a lot more option. the last one is a paid app and it is forbidden in this forum to share the link to public. please make sure which one is it. if it is the pro version please delete the link from this thread. sharing is a good thing but we need to obey our community rules. don't worry, you can still put the link from the market if you want to share the app to other
anyway, this is indeed a good app. I've been using it for months and have been my main keyboard since then. definetely worth to try.
hahaha wth XD
