Hi, I've a phone running 5.1.1 stock Xperia with 1gb RAM. I noticed that every few days, the System Apps RAM usage will increase from 300mb to 500mb and beyond which then causes a force reboot.
Is there any reliable method to detect the cause of this memory leak? It's frustrating having to use the phone every 2 days then see it freeze for hours before forcing a reboot, it's like seeing an animal kill itself and reincarnate repeatedly.

Yesterday I bought my Asus TF300T ... awesome but there is one thing I do not understand.
The tablet have 1 GB of ram... but if I go in settings -> application -> Ram in use show 680m occupied, and only 290 free.... strange cause happens at every boot!
So I begin search in this forum for some help, but I was not able to find any specific info about ram consumption....
Now I tried to install a custom Rom based on 4.1.1 (Clean ROM 2.1 ), but nothing has change, the ram consumption is the same as the stock JB version.
Just now i've try to remove some bloatware with TitaniumBackup, reboot but... 650m in use is too hight.
Can I have some information on the consumption of ram? Can I do something to increase the free space? I ask because I saw that some users have more than 600 mb of free space at boot

You can leave it alone for the most. You won't gain anything by having more ram that isn't being used.
This is how Android is meant to work. It caches process and stuff in the background so apps boot quicker. If an app needs more ram, the system will close processes to free some up for you.

Hi mozy!
Uhm ok but if I want to disable at startup one or more applications/services how can I do that? I undestand that android caches process but I wanna be able to know "what's inside" my ram and exactly how much it take. There's an app for this?

If you want to disable apps at startup you can download the app: "Autostarts"
from the Android market and for your second question check out the app "AutoKiller Memory Optimizer", also from the google play market

Believe me, ive searched everywhere and , i dont know exactly what my problem is, because the threads that ive seen, are so different from whats happening to me.
So well, like 6 months ago, my storage stopped working, i couldnt download apps, as my internal storage capactity reflected 0.0gb, neither i could take pictures or store anything, so well heres, what i consider to be the twist.
There are many things that suggest to me that the files are actually inside the device, first of all: clean master.
According to clean master my device has 18gb used, and 24gb free, what i remember to be exactly how my memory was way back, also if i run the cache cleaning on clean master it actually find 700mb or somethin, i havent run it to delete the cache because i consider something awful might happen.
The other thing, all my apps are still there, and i can actually use them, yesterday i was using skype, but i cant seem to update the apps, so well idk what is actually happen, and would appreciate any help.
Some other things to take in consideration.
I have never rooted the device, well not that i know of, i tried once but the device didnt appear on the terminal so i left it as that.
by that means i haven't tried to install a custom rom.

Because it would be so good to recover everything, but if it cant be done its ok, i just wanna consider what my options or option is.

Ive just had a update which Every thing seems to run fine but I thought i would check to see if the memory speed (ufs 2.1) where it should be around 800mb/s from previous tests and it has now fell to 550mb/s max with 480mb/s on average ive tried many times but I get the same speed. It seems like saming have reduced the ufs 2.1 speed to ufs 2.0 speed?

can I disable the updates & stop the notification?
I no you don't have to install but I dont have a clue about the notification if it's been downloaded I think it may keep notifying you. Maybe someone else can help you.
So samsung has reduced it's 2.1 speed to ufs 2.0 speed........

I know you can use BK Package Disabler (Samsung) to disable both SDM apks and that removes the notifications and the pop-ups.
I answered another duplicate thread you made (stop making duplicates by the way), but just if someone stumbles here instead, here is my answer again:
This is NOT true.
I have just tested on the latest update AQEB and UFS 2.1 speeds are maintained.
Which carrier is releasing this update and when was it released? One more question, for two minor fixes why is this update so big?

My phone is getting lag when i play games like Ml or SAO,can someone help me how can i make my phone faster,i just rooted my phone and download roe soft ram expander because when i play some games,it automatically quit,now after swapping 4GB my game is now loading and download data's but my still problem is super lag,i decided to delete roe ram expander and find some apps but nothing change,is it on my ram ?because after looking my ram it saids 312 mb ram free,but why when i play game it automatically quit like sword art online memory defrag,while playing its kind of smooth but after second tutorial it auto quit,every game I want to play either 70 mb to 1.6GB game or even Flappy bird! my goodness after playing that game up to 6 minutes its getting lag and lag and auto quit,please can someone recommends me apps or zip for my phone so i can play no crash or lag,please, i already try clearing cache and force stop andi already try hardreset my phone 3 times

Tablet extremely slow and unresponsive, it has developed problems over time. I'm thinking factory reset won't fix the problem (will only delete personal data and apps) and also may unroot it?

-Randomly turns off instead of going to the screensaver
-Generally extremely slow
-Every time I turn on the tablet I have to reenter the wifi password for some reason
-When I download a new app and open it it will say 'this app has stopped'
-I cant use browser (chrome) because it takes too long to load pages.
I've tried:
- Running AVG antivirus and malware bytes scans which has not shown any problems.
-Running CCleaner to remove junk files and unnecessary files/apks.
Any ideas? Should I look up how to make a backup with TWRP?

This is a very low activity device though, I noticed that there may be an Android 5.1 update for this device. Also, I saw a thread on Debloating it as well.
