After hours of reading and doing stuff I know a lot and can do a lot thx to this lovely forum!
after a lot of trying I unlocked the bootloader but got infinite loading on boot. (which if I understand correctly is not a big deal, just put recovery CMW on it and install custom rom right?)
But for the life of me I can not put an recovery like CMW on it... can somebody please give me a file (IMG or simular) a tool and the method how to put a recovery on my Xperia L? (I can not access the phone normally with the infinite loading screen when I start the phone) ( I can use fastboot en flashboot with flashtool)
After a recovery like CMW is on the phone I can do the further steps myself to install thunderzap and an custom rom on it myself. The phone is bootloader unlocked with flashtool.
Thank you in advance! I love this forum ^^
This is the tool I used for the unlocking of the bootloader

Cheers
Ok now download this stock FTF: 15.3.a.1.17, flash it using flashtool (the tool you used to unlock bootloader). Now you fixed the bootloop. After that root the phone again, download this app, install cwm and install any custom rom you want.http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/development/app-recoveries-recovery-installer-t3187915 also find instruction on how to flash stock FTF using flashtool.
Thank you for helping out man, I appreciate it!
I tryed to flash back C2105_15.0.A.2.17_CE, but it didnt work. Is there a reason why is has to be that specific stock rom that you suggested? I got mobile model C2105 does that matter?
Unlocking the bootloader is the same as rooting? (I read a lot of text and to me that wasnt very clear)

No, you have to flash 15.3.A.1.17 because when you install custom roms, wifi will only work if you came from that FTF. Find that ftf of c2105, unlock bootloader is not rooting, unlock bootloader allowes you to change kernel, install custom roms... While rooting means you can play around with the system. Just flash that FTF, root the phone again and install the recovery installer app which I gave you the link. In case flashtool not working, you can try uninstall it and install a lower version (0.9.11). It works for me.
Thx it worked like a charm! Now only I have to find a solid super stable custom rom Android 4.4 or above. Anyone got any recommendations? ^^
Stryflex is good, its 5.1.1 cyanogen mod based. The 4.4 roms have rly annoying bugs of you want you can try out CM 11 (the free xperia ones are the most stable in my opinion but still has bugs here is 4.4 link : http://fxpblog.co/cyanogenmod/cyanogenmod-11/ )You can also try one of the cyanogen mod nightlys. RR also worths a try. I personally recommend you stryflex. Here a link http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...-stryflex2013266073-lp-official-sony-t3178049 . The problem with most ROMs is the battery drain. Good luck ! :good:
@noobp yes stryflex LP Ultimate V4.0 is awesome. I'm currently using it. A tip, if you install stryflex, you should not install gapps because gapps makes rom slow and freeze(you can get apps from apkmirror). I dont recommend 4.4, try any Lollipop roms and above, not all of them have battery drain.
Thx for the proposed roms. I like stability, battery life, speed, functionality in that order. I gladly give up everything except stability and battery life!
I have a problem trying to install a cuatom recovery.
I have bootloader unlocked, also root.
But, I can't install any custom recovery. i have tried install by different ways without success.
I have tried installing TWRP Manager app, but in the middle of the installation "something was wrong" message appears.
I tried with twrp.img and installig through Terminal emulator. With this method apparently is OK, but at reboot, it is the stock recovery.
Tryimg with a couple PC programs, through ADB, I had the same result.
When I did unlock the bootloader I got an infinity initial screen (the coloured "smoke" screen).
After that, I flashing the .14 stock ROM and tried that.
After, I flashed .17 and tried all that again, but custom recovery don't want to be installed. Any solution?

Try THIS if you are on stock ROM.
If you need recovery just to install Android 6.0 custom ROM then I suggest you to extract that ROM's zip and flash boot.img using flashtool or ADB.

The problem is that I can't install any recovery.
The other solution, flash boot.img, how can I do that?
Flashtool only let me flash .sin files, right? I can't see an option to flash any .img file
By the way, thanks for answer
Edit:
Yeeeah! TWRP installed from Flashtool! I had to extract boot.img from a 6.0 ROM and install it from flashtool.
Now I'm flashing TurboRom 6.0 .
Thank you very much!

Hi all,
Since a few days I'm trying to update my Nexus 5 to Android 4.4.4 but everything I've tryed has failed !
Today I'm running stock ROM 4.4.2 + root + TWRP recovery + Xposed
What I've tryed :
_ OTA : device reboot on recovery and does nothing
_ Flash stock using the latest Nexus Rom Toolkit from Wug Refresh : device reboot on bootloader and get stuck on a "downloading..." message while PC get stuck on "downloading bootloader"
_ Flash zip from TWRP : tryed several zip, all of them has failed
I don't know what to do next, so now I'm asking your help...
Also I hope this post is in the right section !
Download vomer's stock rooted 4.4.4 rom from the development section and dirty flash it from custom recovery. This should do the job.
You can find the mentioned rooted stock in my signature, section 6.6
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Before trying this custom ROM could you explain me the difference with the stock ROM and why I cannot flash the stock one ?
Is it because I have Xposed or something ?
And also after flashing the custom by vomer, can I try to flash again the stock one ?

The One which we are telling you to flash is the stock rom. Yes, it's because you have Xposed and other modules installed.. God knows what changes it has made to system.
There's no need to flash the factory images again as vomer's thread contains the stock itself.

All of your questions have already been answered, except the Vomer ROM one. While technically a custom ROM, it is only stock ROM with root. So going back to pure stock would be pointless.

Hello,
Please help me clear this up.... I have a TF300T which, until recently, had latest stock 4.2 ROM.
So I followed instructions carefully... unlocked bootloader, and successfully installed TWRP 2.8 and a custom KK ROM.
All fine but I now want to try a different one. All ROMs caution that I have to be on stock JB bootloader before installing. And that's where I get confused. Anyone can help me with precise instructions on what I need to do now, before installing a different KK ROM? Don't want to brick the tablet.
Thank you!

The prerequisite for installing a KK ROM is being on the stock JB bootloader, which you are on. Flashing the first KK Rom did not change the bootloader; it only changed the software that was run after the bootloader.
If you want to flash another KK Rom, just factory reset (from inside TWRP) and then flash the KK Rom from inside TWRP. After that, flash any GApps, mods, or kernels you want.
switching ROMs & JB 4.2 bootloader question

This is my question too!
I have a ROM that requires twrp 2.7.0.0. But the ROM I want to switch to says it needs the latest version of twrp recovery. The JB bootloader requirement makes me leery as well. I did originally start with jb 4.2. So I want to be sure as well. Can't afford to end up with a brick.

Thank you for explaining that. Makes sense... After you explained it.
I tried to install CM12 in my Xperia M2
But it is unsuccessful
I am not sure that my phone is D2305 or D2303
But D2303 was written on the package box
I was following the method and steps in this video
with cm-12-20150126-UNOFFICIAL-eagle and boot-recovery.img from galaxyfreak
One more thing is
After I installed the rom and select reboot system now
It respond that the root access possibly lost and ask me fix it or not...
Than black screen and tremble are present and I can feel the heat of the phone
I am very unhappy with the result and feel hopeless
U must follow instructions in rom threat... some roms needs to be installed over specific rom. Like here. U need flash via flashtool official 4.3 , flash kernel with cust. recovery and then flash CM. Follow instructions
thank you so much

I finally understand " You have to be on STOCK before doing this! Flash stock FTF (look into M2 general section)"
And I installed CM12 successfully
The touch sensor improve so much!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi all i just bought this mobile and i was curious to know if it was possible to install a custom rom.
I saw that the downgrade is the only solution to root and install custom recovery.
In my case i wish to know which file i have to flash with flashtool.
Thanks all

Yes
Update:
Downgrade --> Done
Root and DualRecovery--> Done
Backup DRM TA --> done
Bootloader Unlock --> Done
I'm trying to flash custom room rebooting in Teamwin recovery the flash goes perfect but after when i reboot the Z3 it goes in boot loop and i can enter only in the recovery the Z3 won't start at all.
I've tryied with 2 custom ROm and the original rom lollipop rooted and patched.
What i do wrong? I just put the custom rom in the Micro-sd card and i flash it using the teamwin recovery (before i wipe cache and Dalvik). Do i have to flash before the boot.img?
Thanks

You are either flashing an incompatible custom ROM or your boot loader is not unlocked.
Flash a stock FTF again, then goto the dialer and dial *#*#7378423#*#* then goto service info, configuration and post here what it says in the rooting status.

Well, neither of those require an unlocked bootloader, but that should not make a difference.
What boot.img are you flashing, both of those ROMs require a stock kernel.

i normally copy the rom zip on the external micro SD card
i go to teamwin recovery i do a wipe and after i do install
The install finish and i click on reboot
DO i have to do other steps to flash the stock kernel?
i didn't flash any boot.img and kernel until now
UPDATE
problem solved i flashed the stock 5.1.1 kernel before to flash the rom and the bootloop disappeared.
Now i'm with the custom Mod there is any possibility to restore the DRM functions with the custom rom?

Well, if you only want to stay on these stock based custom rooms there was no need to unlock the bootloader. You only need that for truly custom rooms like cm or aosp.
If you want these rooms with drm keys then do this.
Restore your T A backup. This will relocate your bootloader
If this results in a boot loop, then flash a stock ftf, and do everything again EXCEPT do not unlock the bootloader this time
Hi there, I want to relock my bootloader and install stock recovery for X507, EUI 019s, is there any guide to do that?
P.S: I want my phone back to stock, didn't find any link for stock recovery, also i don't wanna use sp tool as it bricked my device last time, so complicated.
Right now bootloader is unlocked and twrp installed.
Thanks in Advance!
