I'm not responsible for any kind of damage to your device.
the following steps will do
1. search the forum for suitable device (sony lww wt19i in your case), see if there are some rooting methods available..
once you root the device go to play store or market and find app named "Rom Manager".
2. install rom manager when prompted install clockworks mod recovery make sure you have open wifi access in your reach.
3. once done look for suitable rom in the forum or google it .
4. do read comments regarding the custom rom .
5. place the downloaded rom into your phones memory.
6. if you are ready for the risks restart into recovery mod and install the rom .
7 congo you are done.

This device is not supported by Rom manager and clockworks.
For sony devices you need to read the device forum (As i stated above) and use flashtool to root (And flash stock ftf's) and to flash custom (Stock based) roms you need a CMW based recovery (A dev will have made one in that device forum I presume).
Furthermore, to flash custom kernel you will need an unlocked bootloader.
Sony only have official bootloader unlocking for some 2011/12 devices, so it may only be possible on this device if a dev has found an unnoficial way
very true

yes this is true about sony devices,..
not much of a grip on sony stuff
So, I have a ROOTED & UNLOCKED Xperia L which creates problems while installing a Custom Recovery. At first I tried the TWRP 2.8.7.0 which just wouldn't boot the phone and after using the Flashtool to reflash the Stock FTF; I tried the Rashr app and Minimal ADB and FastBoot to flash Recovery as well.
In every case the phone either wouldn't boot or just stay with TeamWin Logo Flashing intermittently.
I wonder what nooby mistakes are letting this kind of thing happen.
Long Story short - I need a decent custom recovery image (download link) that works on a Stock Xperia L that helps me take a full backup and the steps to install so I don't end up using the Flashtool everytime.

No need to flash any FTF,I faced the same situation when flashing custom rom u need to Flash working kernel in fastboot mode here is the link old Twrp kernel this will fix your problem.
*Note this kernel works only in 4.4.4 D2202/12
If file is in zip format Extract the file ,you will get boot.img file.
Switch off your phone by open back cover u need to click the off hole and charge your phone.
After hours of reading and doing stuff I know a lot and can do a lot thx to this lovely forum!
after a lot of trying I unlocked the bootloader but got infinite loading on boot. (which if I understand correctly is not a big deal, just put recovery CMW on it and install custom rom right?)
But for the life of me I can not put an recovery like CMW on it... can somebody please give me a file (IMG or simular) a tool and the method how to put a recovery on my Xperia L? (I can not access the phone normally with the infinite loading screen when I start the phone) ( I can use fastboot en flashboot with flashtool)
After a recovery like CMW is on the phone I can do the further steps myself to install thunderzap and an custom rom on it myself. The phone is bootloader unlocked with flashtool.
Thank you in advance! I love this forum ^^
This is the tool I used for the unlocking of the bootloader
http://www.flashtool.net/index.php
Cheers
Ok now download this stock FTF: 15.3.a.1.17, flash it using flashtool (the tool you used to unlock bootloader). Now you fixed the bootloop. After that root the phone again, download this app, install cwm and install any custom rom you want.http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/development/app-recoveries-recovery-installer-t3187915 also find instruction on how to flash stock FTF using flashtool.
Thank you for helping out man, I appreciate it!
I tryed to flash back C2105_15.0.A.2.17_CE, but it didnt work. Is there a reason why is has to be that specific stock rom that you suggested? I got mobile model C2105 does that matter?
Unlocking the bootloader is the same as rooting? (I read a lot of text and to me that wasnt very clear)

No, you have to flash 15.3.A.1.17 because when you install custom roms, wifi will only work if you came from that FTF. Find that ftf of c2105, unlock bootloader is not rooting, unlock bootloader allowes you to change kernel, install custom roms... While rooting means you can play around with the system. Just flash that FTF, root the phone again and install the recovery installer app which I gave you the link. In case flashtool not working, you can try uninstall it and install a lower version (0.9.11). It works for me.
Thx it worked like a charm! Now only I have to find a solid super stable custom rom Android 4.4 or above. Anyone got any recommendations? ^^
Stryflex is good, its 5.1.1 cyanogen mod based. The 4.4 roms have rly annoying bugs of you want you can try out CM 11 (the free xperia ones are the most stable in my opinion but still has bugs here is 4.4 link : http://fxpblog.co/cyanogenmod/cyanogenmod-11/ )You can also try one of the cyanogen mod nightlys. RR also worths a try. I personally recommend you stryflex. Here a link http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...-stryflex2013266073-lp-official-sony-t3178049 . The problem with most ROMs is the battery drain. Good luck ! :good:
@noobp yes stryflex LP Ultimate V4.0 is awesome. I'm currently using it. A tip, if you install stryflex, you should not install gapps because gapps makes rom slow and freeze(you can get apps from apkmirror). I dont recommend 4.4, try any Lollipop roms and above, not all of them have battery drain.
Thx for the proposed roms. I like stability, battery life, speed, functionality in that order. I gladly give up everything except stability and battery life!
I have a problem trying to install a cuatom recovery.
I have bootloader unlocked, also root.
But, I can't install any custom recovery. i have tried install by different ways without success.
I have tried installing TWRP Manager app, but in the middle of the installation "something was wrong" message appears.
I tried with twrp.img and installig through Terminal emulator. With this method apparently is OK, but at reboot, it is the stock recovery.
Tryimg with a couple PC programs, through ADB, I had the same result.
When I did unlock the bootloader I got an infinity initial screen (the coloured "smoke" screen).
After that, I flashing the .14 stock ROM and tried that.
After, I flashed .17 and tried all that again, but custom recovery don't want to be installed. Any solution?
Pd: sorry fory bad English

Try THIS if you are on stock ROM.
If you need recovery just to install Android 6.0 custom ROM then I suggest you to extract that ROM's zip and flash boot.img using flashtool or ADB.

The problem is that I can't install any recovery.
The other solution, flash boot.img, how can I do that?
Flashtool only let me flash .sin files, right? I can't see an option to flash any .img file
By the way, thanks for answer
Edit:
Yeeeah! TWRP installed from Flashtool! I had to extract boot.img from a 6.0 ROM and install it from flashtool.
Now I'm flashing TurboRom 6.0 .
Thank you very much!

First of all thank you all very much for your kind effort to bring Xperia C back to work. nice job!:good::good:
I tried to follow your instructions to install custom roms on my Xperia C, but at the second steps I've been stopped! CWM cannot be installed cause my device is on S1 Boot Version 2.14.J.0.68 and "wmshua" is not working anymore (some say it needs connection with its website and the site is down for a while!)
so I need your help to know if any other program can install FTF files (and CWM afterwards) on my device? any other way is possible?!
Thank you again
