Hi All
I am using one plus one with cm 13. I forgot the pattern to unlock. Is there any way to unlock the pattern and login to the phone.
I tried to copy the data but I am not able to copy since the screen is locked.
I have tried to lock using Android Device Manager but that is also asking for pattern to enter the password.
Since I have not enabled the developer mode .. I am not able to use adb commands also ...
I am able to use the fastboot mode, but from that mode, I am not getting any option to unlock ..
Can you pls help to unlock the phone or copy the data before doing factory reset..
Thanks

Hi all a friend dropped her Galaxy Note 10.1 into me yesterday to see if I could help retrieve her password. I tried entering the password wrong so many times to see if forgot password comes up but nothing. She obviously skipped registering with google. She has photos on it that she wants off it. I told her she would lose everything if I reset it and it might be her only option. Can I root it or install Cwm on it or some custom recovery to bypass the password or does it need USB debugging to be turned on which I very much doubt is turned on unless she hit it by mistake !! I came across these methods maybe method 3 might work ? Not sure.
Method 3 (new):
It’s a quite simple method than the other two. By using this method you can crack / unlock both, pattern lock as well as pin / password lock. But before you use this method, your device must have a custom recovery like CWM installed on it. Note that you may also require to root your device just in case if it doesn’t work by having CWM only (it’s a far rare case though). It should work with CWM Recovery alone.
So, lets get started: firstly download a Lockscreen bypass file from the link given below:
Pattern / Password Bypass for Android
Copy the downloaded zip file on your device’s internal / external memory by any means.
Now, boot into recovery mode on your phone / tab. Note that, each device has a different method (key combinations) to get into recovery mode. If you don’t know how to boot into recovery, you can Google it or ask us in comments below (include your device model along with the comment).
After getting into recovery, select install zip from sdcard followed by choose zip from sdcard. Navigate to the file you’ve just transferred on your phone. Hit Power button to select the file and confirm the installation by selecting ‘Yes – Install LockScreen_Security_bypass.zip’.
As soon as installation gets completed, select ‘reboot system now’ to restart the phone.
Once the phone gets rebooted, you’ll see that the pattern / password lock is still there. But don’t panic, just enter any pattern / password and it will get unlocked by itself.
Thanks to XDA Recognized Contributor dr.ketan for this awesome script. You can find his original thread here.
That’s it! You’ve successfully unlocked / cracked the pattern lock of your Android device. Do let us know if you face any difficulty while unlocking the pattern lock. We’ll be more than happy to help you out.
Nobody able to help me before I have to factory reset it any help would be appreciated :good:

No problem thanks for the reply. Looks like I'll have to reset it so.
If you can connect with adb from recovery you could snag the files from there. If your on stock recover it can be done but I'm not sure how. Cwm has the option to mount usb

Hi there,
I have cracked the screen on my phone and was wondering if it was possible to access it via PC/USB or any other way to completely factory reset it (no personal data left). I dont think I can get ADB access, as I cant see what's on it, and the 80% of of it cant respond to touch. But it does have the following:
- Fingerprint access(able to unlock)
-Root access
-TWRP
-Unlocked bootloader
Will this be possible?

Are your volume keys working ? if yes then , flash a new recovery(non-touch) to your phone using odin(probably ur stock one) and then factory reset your device using the volume keys , if you dont remember the option sequence of your recovery than reply me your Phone's manufacturer and model number.
And I would suggest that in future whenever you flash custom roms , never flash a touch one .
Dear friends,
I have LG Google Nexus 5 (Hammerhead D821(H) 32GB) model. Some days ago I tried to install Ubuntu Touch OS through UBports Software in my nexus 5 phone. But I forgot to enable USB Debugging first. So when I started the flash process and try to unlock bootloader, one time it show lock state unlocked. But In reality it was not unlocked. Because of this reason Ubuntu Touch OS installation is not completed and it corrupted my phone. Now I am unable to boot in android also. I also tried to re-flash my phone with Google Factory image but it was not completed because of my bootloader is locked. I don't know how i can unlock bootloader now. I used Wipe Data & Factory Reset option in Recovery Mode but it is also vain. Please help me how can I correct my phone.
Assuming you have adb/fastboot drivers correctly installed, you have to reboot to bootloader by pressing volume down + power and keeping them pressed until you see the bootloader screen. Then connect your phone to the PC and issue the following command from a command prompt:
fastboot oem unlock
Keep in mind that unlocking the bootloader will erase all your data, just like a factory reset, so backup everything first!

Dear Sir,
I tried to unlock bootloader with fastboot oem unlock command many times. When I used this command one time it shows unlocked but when I restarted bootloader it again shows locked.
Eh, this is not good. In my experience, this happens when the eMMC has gone bad, either faulty or write protected for some reason. I have investigated the issue and I have not found a solution yet... Even desoldering it and soldering it to a uSD custom PCB does not allow me to write to it... I am afraid you are stuck with a secretly bricked phone...
I don't know if you already tried all possible, just take a look at this thread.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/go...nexus-5-doesnt-boot-access-adb-t2521691/page3
Or even look at this,LG Flashtool. You don't need unlocked bootloader to flash.

The thread is quite old,but needed links are working correctly,i've just checked.
How do you unlock (number) this screen? Tried various methods utilizing numbers and emergency call feature, which did not work.
I don't remember anything about settings that would allow me remote access, etc. And had no knowledge about downloading apps to help bypass a locked screen situation. The phone is not visible to my computer, either.
TY

It won't be visible to the PC if you can't unlock the screen, screen has to be unlocked in order for PC to access the device.
Your only hope is if there is a TWRP custom recovery for your specific model number, provided that your bootloader is already unlocked. If there is no TWRP for your device or if your bootloader is locked, your only option to regain access to the device is to boot into stock recovery and factory reset the device, you will lose your data on the process but you will be to access the device again.
If your bootloader is locked then you will not be able to save your user data because unlocking the bootloader will wipe the devices internal storage.
If your bootloader is locked, TWRP will not work for you.
If your bootloader is already unlocked by default and if there is a TWRP for your specific model number, you can flash TWRP then boot into TWRP and use the file explorer that is built into TWRP to navigate to the location where your password file is stored and delete the file containing your lockscreen password, then reboot the device and the lock will be gone. It may also require rooting the device in order for TWRP to be able to access and delete the password file.
Hi! I copied all my data from my Redmi 6A with broken display using ADB. I also changed the screen lock from pattern to pin using SCRCPY. But now whenever I enter the correct pin, it says that the pin is wrong. I have not forgotten the pin as I used the same one for all my devices. Could this be caused by some broken piece of hardware? Although I have copied all my data, but still I don't want to reset it. I can try all the possible 9999 combinations by running some script. Can it unlock it without damaging my device? It runs on Android 8 with MIUI 11.5. Any help is much appreciated.

Hi! I tried it but it says wrong password. Actually, I was a bit the night I changed the password and there may be a chance that I put something that I don't remember now. Is there any chance that a fall might have corrupted some part of the hardware? And if there is not, can I try brute forcing all possible combinations without damaging my data? I just don't want to lose some data that I cannot pull via ADB.
