[Completed] LG Google Nexus 4 - XDA Assist

My device fails to remain switched on. After some while it switches off. Sometimes it seems something like turning on wifi toggles it but not sure. I have tried both soft and hard factory reset but still there was no use. It heats up a lot due to continuos loop of on/off. But when I switch it on, it is not completely switched on and somewhat stops in the middle of the process. It turns on only when I connect to a charger but within half an hour It heats up a lot. The battery is not drained when I switch it on. Also when once switched off it does not switch on on its own. So, i feel its not a hardware issue. Can you guide me regarding the problem with my device-LG Google Nexus 4.

[Completed] [Q] Nexus 5 Multiple Problem

I've been using my Nexus 5 for about 5 months now. Recently my phone have been having this "ghost touch" issue. My phone have a cracked screen so maybe that's the problem but I'm not entirely sure. Sometimes the touch screen doesn't work, sometimes it just presses at a spot repeatedly. The second problem is my phone sometimes dies at 80-70% battery if I play a game, use camera, or stream video. When it dies I can't turn it back on as it will die again while rebooting. It can only be turned back on by plugging it to a charger. Third is, when my phone dies or I shut it off, sometimes it will go to the "Android is starting. Optimizing app x of 152.". As I was typing this question, my phone rapidly pressed the recent screen button multiple times. Help is needed as I can't afford a new phone. And I just found out that I have been having difficulty rooting the phone. The bootloader is unlocked even after I've updated to 5.1 but I dont have any root access. I've tried multiple rooting method but failed. The battery problem is really getting under my skin as I love to take pictures but I cant really do that properly with my phone connected to a powerbank.
Hi thank you for using XDA Assist. I see you've also posted your question here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help/nexus-5-multiple-problems-t3089631 That is the correct place to ask your questions.

[Completed] OnePlus One non responsive, wont boot or charge (black screen), help please

Hi some help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.
Sorry for the long paragraph but I wanted to give you as much information as possible about my problem.
So I got my OPO last Friday, no issues so far until this morning when I had charged it from the night before, the phone worked as normal, after using it for about 20 minutes I was on the lock screen with about 90% battery. Suddenly the screen goes really funny, glitches up and freezes. Its hard to explain but anyway my immediate response was to restart it because this stuff happens all the time right? HAHA. Anyway the phone, once shut-down, was rendered unresponsive.
My first response was to put it back on charge using the official charger, no responce so I left it for half an hour. I unplugged it and pressed the power on button and success it boots, to a black screen again unresponsive!
I then charged it for a further 10 minutes and tried recovery mode it worked so I thought I would press reboot, it reboots to a black screen. Now after a good few hours of charge it is unresponsive completely no recovery mode or fast boot. Right back where I started.
So this is my problem: The phone doesn't vibrate, no charge light, no on screen response. Or any signs of life for that matter. I am really good with technology but new to android. I haven't tried rooting or anything and I was using stock cyanogenmod 12.
Here's what I've already tried:
-Charging it pretty much all day
-Recovery mode
-Fast boot mode
-All this with it plugged into the pc and plug charger
-Boot cycle
-No signs of the phone in device manager on my PC either.
If anyone could help or point me in the right direction that would be great thanks.

[Completed] LG g2 Shows 0% battery after lcd and digitizer replacement and turns off

I finally got the right digitizer for my LG-D802, and when I turn it on it will either go through the boot process, and then show 0% battery and tell me it's turning off because of the battery, or do a boot process with what looks like a buffering logo animation followed by a regular speed animation, led light flashes green and blue and then back to the 0% battery and turn off. If connect it with charger turns on by it self and the boot logo runs like slow motion, after some time reboot and does bootloop.
I can get it to firmware download mode, and cannot get it to factory reset. I also cannot get my win 7 to see the phone after trying tons of different drivers.
Please help

[Completed] Xperia Neo V weirdest problem ever ( wont turn on, but sometimes will?! )

Hello xda community ( first post )
So i own a sony Xperia neo V and i have a very weird problem. So I left it charge overnight and the morning i tried to turn it on but it wouldnt turn on. I tried a lot of things until 1 day later after removing sim and sd and pressing vol up+power it turned on. I backed up everything and tried to turn it off and again on but again it wouldnt!
O dissasemplied it and cleaned everything in case there is a short circuit. i unplugged and repluged everything i could inside it.
I left the battery out for 1 month.
I tried the battery on my xperia tipo and it was working fine.
I made a hard reset.
I made a topic on sony site they didnt help at all, they just said the obvious things.
Now I am trying this forum, my last hopes to make it work again. Right now i turned it on and it works fine! The power button works always in both press and long press. The screen and touch screen works fine. Everything works properly. No sim or SD inserted.
Help
Ask me whatever you want i will try to answer everything. Please dont tell things like remove battery and stuff i already tried these.
The weird part is that everything works fine! but still it wont turn on 99% of times. i tried to keep track of the things i did to find a pattern of things but it turns on totaly randomly. There is no procedure that has more success than just pressing the power button and hoping to turn on.
Additional info: It has suffered water damage some times in the past and many falls from about 1 meter. It always worked after leaving it on the sun for a day or two without the battery and turning it on. I found no rust or corrosion signs when i dissasemplied.
Thanks!
EDIT: I found out that if i change the pressure i apply on the battery connectors the device has a higher chance to turn on!

Phone froze - is it dying?

Hi.
I'm trying to find out if my phone might be dying on me or if it just had a bad one-time crash.
I have a Galaxy S7 (not rooted) that has had no issues for about one and a half years.
Yesterday, after I closed a piano app and a bit later went back to my phone, the screen wouldn't turn on, and the phone was frozen. None of the buttons did anything to make the phone usable again, and no display or light features did anything. I held the power key without success. I plugged the phone into a charger, and no light came on although the charger seemed to recognize that something was plugged in.
Someone else was able to find the shortcut to force reboot the phone (hold Power and Volume Down for 10-20 seconds), and that finally did it.
However, it seemed to me that the reboot took considerably longer than usual - the desktop icons would not show up for about 10 seconds, and many apps would open but not display any of their data for again 10-20 seconds. After a while, everything seemed to work again, but I'm worried.
So far today, the phone seems to be working normally. I just used Helium to create a backup of my app data, and it made my phone really warm - although that could be normal for Helium.
I typically don't restart the phone often, maybe once or twice a month. I leave it on and charging overnight.
In your experience and estimation, is it possible that my phone may be close to dying, or is it likely an app just crashed catastrophically and froze the phone?
Any thoughts on what could have happened, and should I prepare for getting a new phone, or is there something else I can try to check if the phone is still alright?
Thanks!
