So i modified my goggles i made for my g4. And heres my findings.
After trying a few apps 2 outa 5 said i no gyroscope detected and shutdown.
The other 3. Run just fine no frame lags or nothing. In my opinion the stylo can do decent vr even with a lower resolution screen.
I do see pixels but not bad at all. Just some of the downside of the screen. I played with some of the first oculus rifts. And just as good as they were.
I ordered some lensess online for just a couple bucks. My g4 setup is a old pair snowboarding goggles. I got a double otg cable that i plug my ps3 control in and play games.
Should work the same on stylo.

Got my pro last week and just wanted to share my observations.
Had the Kaiser before (still do as i still haven't sold it)
Loving this device so far with the stock rom, going to try DCS rom later today. I used throttle launcher with the kaiser so getting to use the real touch flo 3d was a treat. Still have a problem with the audio tab, as it seems to crash when ever i load it.
GPS is a downer so far out of the gate as it took 20 min for me to get a fix yesterday and then i kept losing it (using TT7) gonna try gpsgate for now until that problem is solved.
didn't like the fact that it came with a charger where the cable is also used for pc sync (the kaiser came with a complete charger and a separate usb cable) but I still have a couple of other Usb chargers so its all good.
the nice difference has been the camera. you can see the difference in pictures with the attachments. the touch pro may not have the best video camera in the world by far, but for stills it does a damn good job, better than I have seen before on windows mobile.
usb 2.0 has helped as I lost my first micro sd reader, and then my second one has stopped working.
Keyboard is pretty good. hardware keyboard i still keep missing the "a" button and hitting the caps lock. software keyboard is pretty good sometimes the word suggestion can be annoying especially when spelling names.
if it turns out that this device can get 3g in north america, im laughing. if not, I will be selling it as paying $30 for 6GB of edge data, will not be worth it in IMHO.
left to test: video playback with vga encoded vids and tv out (when i actually purchase the cable)
I can get it to connect and play for maybe 2 minutes until it starts freaking out and I have to disconnect it. The latency is great up until then. That feature is a very important one to me but it won't work. I know it's in beta but i'm not sure if that's what needs to be worked on or if they just want to reduce the latency more and improve the image quality. I have other miracast devices and they act the same way with the exception of 2 of them. The nexus 7 doesn't work right, i have a galaxy s4 clone and my main phone that work badly.
I used it one night while playing ShineRunner with my wife. I had her screen miracast on the TV so I could help her out. It worked great for about 10 minutes then started acting up and I had to kill it.
I wanted to know the same thing and am shocked nobody has really tested a few devises for least lag and shuttering.
I bought the Actiontec ScreenBeam Pro and updated its FW.
I'd say the lag is minimal and is not my main issue now.
Random shuttering can be a pain. It can vary from a only few times to a lot. At this point it seems to be trigger by some games more than others.
Afterburner with a touch profile shuttered a lot (35% of the time) not sure if it a resource issue with the touch profile or general interference in my room.
I played dead trigger 2 with native controls shuttered a lot less(10-15% of the time)
I had the device less than 5 ft during my tests.
This site has done some basic latency tests a handful of these miracast devices. It seems the Netgear Push2TV (PTV3000) had the least lag when used in a pc environment.
http://data.withinwindows.com/miracast-display-devices-and-windows-81-compatibility/
I think I will go buy the Netgear Push2TV tonight on my way home from work and test it.
Note
Having a game mode on the tv helps a lot with lag. If you stack the lag with the non-game mode picture processing of the tv and the miracast protocol it becomes very noticeable.
It's a good thing I searched the web first before buying a Miracast dongle. Sounds like it's not yet stable for gaming.
Playing doom 3 the back gets pretty toasty. I don't care as long as its normal.

Warm is normal, hot is not so normal.

Its a great tab.
Playing for an hour or two of doom and borderlands pre sequel got the temp to 37 38 c 106 f which isn't to bad it stays cooler when you use the case kick stand so it can get air. As soon as I stopped and just started browsering the temp dropped fast.
Normal.
Besides, if you play and get cold hands..
Where did you get borderlands pre sequel?
Lol
I actually have warmed my hands on an older tablet. The pre sequel is on the hub story a believe its fairly new on there not sure since I just got the shield.
I see. Pity I can't purchase on the Hub Store. No way to register/sign in. And Nvidia doesn't care. Contacted them several times.

If you have a shelid you can maybe just search the play store that's were the hub takes you
Playing broaderlands pre sequel it got to 41 c but it cools off fast. Looks like nvidia is pushing it to the limit
Haha tried that, but the Play store says it's incompatible with the Shield. They really don't wanna sell it.
Well that sucks. On the bright side your tablet will stay cooler I played it for an hour last night and the temp got to 41c still not hot but it shows that the game was pushing the device. Why can't you get into the hub.
Don't know, but hub always states that it's currently not possible to login for whatever the reason.
I think I am comfortable enough to move it to line 1 after rooting it.
Somehow I couldn't collect MMS from other former phones to N10, but this one worked 100%. Call record, text, MMS transferred from previous phones perfectly.
Something I really miss Moto gesture especially "chop chop flashlight"
This phone main cam has hard time to focus sometimes, but selfie is really good (almost no noise in low light).
12 hours SOT is clearly a winner and it beat down G Power 2020
Screen is a bit red tint so I have to install CF Lumen (root required) to correct it
The phone is rather fast and don't be fooled by 750. It works fast as 765G processor
60Hz screen is another shortcoming. I have to scroll slower to read text.
Speaker is actually good even it's mono.
The phone has headphones jack and it's capable for casual listening.
I think I made a good choice.
I wished it has US version when G 5G was out, and now I have it
The headphone jack is on the bottome next to the charge port - a horrible position. Also, since bootloader unlocking and flashing a RETUS stock on the phone I can get text messages but can't send any. Also, since deleting all google bloatware from the phone I can't use an app like Instacart, which now says it needs Google Play Services to run - which it never did on the Moto G7 Power after I deleted everything. Duck duck Go works but Firefox doesn't. It makes ZERO sense. We won't even talk about this B.S. with the Read Only system files.
This Android 10 bull**** has made me rethink going to Apple.
After a bit of Duck Duck Go-ing, I found that on some devices random restarts are a sign of the battery getting weak. To me it made sense because, similarly, a weak power supply will cause an old desktop PC to restart randomly.
I believe this is true of the G7. Those of us who are holding out and those of you who picked one up because they're getting cheaper are going to get some two year old batteries.
Just my thought, if you're looking at a used G7, buy a battery and install it. If you're clumsy like me (I often break screens when I remove them), buy one with a broken screen and buy the replacement screen, then install both at the same time.
I replaced batteries in two G7's last weekend. Both were random restarting before that. It's no longer an issue now.
Thanks for the heads up. My G7 was bought as open box, grade A on eBay (crazy rep. top seller) w/orig. box & charger...I used it for a year (moderate duty and never charged above 90%). Just I was gonna either root or ROM, I was able to score a brand new Pixel 4a for cheap from someone who didn't realize it was a 'small' screen.
Fast forward another year...Time for the usual hand-me-down to the wife & upgrade mine routine...but she don't like a small screen either! So next week the G7 is coming outta retirement and my Pixel 5a hopes disappear. Before I retired it I did a factory reset and charged it to 50% n tossed in a drawer. Loong story sry...but Q: Do you think yours was more due to heavy use thus high # of recharge cycles or just aging out n going stale?
If high # of cycles is worse than aging out, she should be ok with my G7...she's a very light user. She'll prolly get 3 days between once I get her on Greenify Pro w/ ADB perms. and 90% max chrgs.
And hats off to Moto for a truly robust G5 Plus! The Batt is still good and she's still nice n smooth...and magisk/twrp rooted and slightly more HP than the G6! The G6 had a good rep too tho...that last 2 'great' G phones made imo. The G7 with the damn A/B slot for 'dynamic' updating ruined it 4 me...smh
I think mine were both due to heavy usage.
Gotcha...thx man!
Anytime!
