Hey,
after repairing my display and opening the bootloader and oc loosing my DRM Keys i have a blurry camera and the autofocus doesnt work really anymore..
i have an existenz 5.x rom and the DRM Mod.. but it doesnt fix the problem.
Well, is it because something went wrong while dissembling it or because of the lost DRMs?
And is there a possibity to, at least, get a sharper camera focus?
greetz
Same problem here after replacing my battery.
Anyone fix?

Unlocking bootloader sure lowers camera quality but not to that level that it can focus anymore. It could be that some dust particle fell into camera unit while you were repairing which made camera blurry. I could be wrong tho.
problem fixed
I had my screen replaced and then i couldn't focus, lately i brought back to the repair shop and he took out the back cover and found there is a "glass" piece near the lens, so it jammed the moving of the lens so it couldn't focus. Took it off and problem fixed
So if you can do it yourself, steps would be
1) hair dryer etc to heat up the back cover
2) take out the back cover slowly away from glue
3) just clean up the stuff around your lens
4) glue it back

Silly question, but the DRM keys, camera, and other issues involved with this device after you unlock it. Does anybody know why this happens and if it's intentional? These problems seem super unrelated to one another.

Hello, I have recently noticed that my phone (HTC TP, ROM 1.90.404.1) takes odd pictures, I think it has something to do with the frequency and/or intensity of the light that comes from the object you're taking a picture of.
I have added a photo that I took, in the picture you see a lamp aimed at the ceiling. Note the weird colors.
I only have this problem with the 3.2 MP camera on the back, the camera on the front of the device is fine. Now I didn't buy the phone for it's camera quality, so it doesn't bother me that much. But I'm still curious.
Does anyone know whats going on?
regardles if you bought it for the camera function or not.
the camera function is on youre phone and it should work.
looks like youre camera doesnt work goed, so if it was my phone, i brought it back for repair.
Bump.
E-mailed HTC via the support site, waiting for a reply.
I don't want to have to hard reset
Anyone got any ideas?
This is probably a faulty device. I'd return it.
The photo looks normal to me
Did you store any kind of mind-driving / psychidelic substances near your Touch Pro?
Well a hard reset did not fix it.
I suppose I'll start looking into the return policy/warranty while I wait for a reply from HTC.
OK well another update.
The good news is I figured out what is causing it.
The problem is the IR filter or rather lack thereof. I asked around and someone told me I should aim a remote control at the lens, press buttons and see what happens. Well I see a nice bright flash on my screen whenever I press a button
Now how to fix it. I think placing a simple IR-filter in front of the lens might do the trick.
Looks like the hardware is fine.

This is not your problem. ALL digital cameras do the same 'trick', even my 12 MegaPixel super Olympus i've just got. I've even used this behavior to help fix a broken remote a few years back.

Awww but the effect seemed the same. So maybe it's still something to do with the frequency?

Looks Poloraized, bad senor if u ask me.
All the photos I've taken with my Sensation have become very bad quality, and pixelated. Is this a software of hardware problem? The lense is a bit dusty from inside, but I can't do anything about that...

I guess the dust should be the main reason.. neither HW nor SW. No idea to clean the lens from inside.
If you havent make a major changes on your Phone's software, i.e. installing new Rom, Firmware, etc, It could be a HW problem, if the dust is inside the lens cover, I would suggest you to send it back (if still covered by warranty) or to a technician so he can clean it properly.
When I take pictures with the front facing camera they come out looking pretty blurry and very bad quality. Is there something I am doing wrong? Does this happen to anyone else? The regular camera is fine but not the front facing camera.

are you sure noting is blocking the front camera? My front camera is fine. even though with less mpix it takes decent pictures under a good light.
Nothing is blocking it. Maybe it is just my phone

It might be but before doing any actions. Try something like instagram and see it that makes any change. If not master reset your phone and try again. If that step does not help. If you are under warranty get a warranty replacement.
Did you make sure the lens is clean? I remember when I first got my S3, I freaked out because of blurry pictures, but then I realized the lens had a film over it and just needed a good wipe.

My nexus camera seems to be broken. The lens constantly moves and shifts around, making non stop clicking. I can't take videos because doing a simple pan results in a shakey video that jumps up down or shakes sideways.
Has anyone else experienced this with their nexus? Is this a hardware problem or the camera focus issue people are talking about? Because this is really bad, worse than just getting unfocused photos..
Edit: I'm thinking my image stabilization is picking up wrong input and trying to correct the lens for no reason resulting in the constant shifting.
From my understanding IS is either working or not, so if the OIS controller was broken I'd get no image stabilization, so it could be software (not just the camera app, something in the internals of the system)
Does anyone have an idea what is wrong and how to fix this?
Is the cell repair shop using oem products to replace?
Sent from this crappy Nexus 5

I 100% agree with this. Mine is completely clean with no problems - no sounds or anything.
Hi to all!
I'm experiencing a weird issue with then main rear camera, not the wide one...and the problem is that the camera most of the times refuse to focus properly the scene, resulting in a blurry photo.
As you can see on the attached photos, i've just taken a random shot opening the camera app, touch to focus and then shoot...with a blurry one.
Then...i've done a weird thing: just tapped with my fingers close to the camera lens, taken another shot...and then camera focused properly the scene...
I've cleared cache of the camera app, reset settings of camera app...went into safe mode and taken many other shots...with the focus problem that was present on two of almost 6/7 shots...
The phone it's less than a month old...and taken a little hit near my desk, but nothing dangerous or dramatic...could be this the cause?
Anyone can help?
I am also facing focus problems
When trying to focus nearby subjects it won't focus at all. Tried testing it alongside an S10 and the S10 got into focus without any effort, but my S10e did not even properly focus objects 10cm away. Wonder if it is a software issue or a hardware one.

In my experience, close objects was focused properly...but distant objects/scenes/landscapes was absolutely like an oil paint...completely distant from what advertised by Samsung and tested in many and many reviews.
Seems like an hardware issue, i really don't think it depends by a software glitch...

Having the same issue with an S10E bought in Australia.
Tried everything: clear cache and reset app, even a full reset did not work.
I've just installed the June's update and the touch focus is no go.
Have you had any improvements since you've posted this issue?

Yes.
Simply had to return the phone to Samsung repair center and asked for a replacement.
They tried first to repair the camera, which obviously didn't worked, then gave me a new phone.
End of story. As I expected, an hardware issue.

Do you know if Samsung tried to change the camera module or the hardware problem is elsewhere ?
I've left the country where I bought it and I'm pretty sure there is no international warranty, so my only option is to buy a new cam module.

Yes, they've tried to change camera module at first, but the problem isn't there, I think there was something related to the mechanism of the automatic lens aperture which maybe it's not only depending by the camera module (don't know if I was clear on that).
But, honestly, for a phone oly 15 days old, they just have to change the phone, not try to repair and maybe try again before the replacement.
