before my s3 worked well with it's full stock rom. and when i began to flash the cm12 rom .my s3 wifi connection had problem. when im near the router it can access but it will only totally connect if i will place it very near to the antenna.
-and i tried flashing another rom from sammobile via odin. and the problem is still there.

I am an unhappy user of a Samsung S3 since yesterday. I have received the phone, unpacked it , charged it. It powered up ,worked fine. This is not my first Android device so i decided to root it after half an hour of use +/-.
Win7(64bit)/ Odin 1.85/ CF Root SGS6 v6.3. Rooted fine. Time for a new ROM ? think so too CWM recovery/BACK-UP installed CriskeloROM SIII ICS v2. Works fine, can receive calls make them, text message , browse net through 3G.
But the problem starts with wifi - it connects to my router,obtains an IP adress but there is no internet. LAN is connected because i can see other users on the network and access a GoFlex drive which is shared on the home network.
I was stupid enough to root the device before checking if the wifi worked, so i have no clue if it worked before i rooted and installed the custom ROM.
Anyone have any thoughts, on things i could carry out in order to get the wifi working?
p.s from the router side of things everything looks fine.

Hi Guys. I encounter a problem, a big one. I'm on DDLF2 CF Root+Deodex and my wifi won't connect to the internet. It works normally but it wont connect to the Internet. This problem starts when i flash Androman's S3 Style V.6, I follow the guide (no need flash prefix, using Jelly Bread before) and flash the data. After it boot, it wont connect to the internet :crying: . Clean install XXKPE then DDLF2 wont work at all, please help me, I'm a wifi user.
EDIT: Found the problem solver. Closed the thread kindly.
Which kernel do you use? I faced the same problem and fixed it flashing kernel CF root bam 14.fix. hope it help you.

i also have thae same problem but i have solved it. i just reflashed ddlf2 rom buy odin and my wifi is working perfect now
Hi so I recently flashed my buddies one s with cyanogen mod and pacman ROM and the ROMs both work flawlessly other then the problem with wifi. The wifi doesn't seem to want to hold a connection. Is there a radio I can flash to get this working? He keeps complaining about the wifi dropping right after connecting. The problem only happened after I rooted and flashed his phone. Any help would be appreciated.

I have also this problem with my One S. It seems that it doesn't want to connect to all WiFi networks since WiFi doesn't work in my home but it works in my school. Someone suggested to me that the problem is bad version of wpa-supplicant binary. I didn't have this problem until I flashed CM10.2 Stable. Sometimes WiFi won't connect before I switch WiFi off and back on. Currently the only solution seems to be changing the settings of the WiFi router if possible. Make sure that WiFi channel is 11 or smaller and try changing the encryption settings.
S6 Wifi Fail after Custom Rom Install

I've just recently (over the weekend) installed VaderRom on my S6, but after I installed the custom ROM (not after root/kernel flash, which was a few days before) I can no longer use WiFi. The phone connects to the Wifi – not problems there, the connection is "Very Good" – but it absolutely refuses to transmit any data over the network. Every internet based app says I'm not connected to the net.
I have a G920I, which I had already updated to stock 5.1.1; Flashed the unikernel appropriate to my model (no issues), got Root, custom recovery, etc. Then, later, I decided to install VaderRom – no issues with install, and everything worked fine. Except WiFi.
Tried XtreStroLite as well, just to see if anything changed, but no joy.
Tried flashing a new bootloader and modem (currently this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/development/guide-920i-modem-xtrestolite-support-t3154861), but no change.
Have now restored to a nandroid backup from before the custom ROM flash, but I still can't get any data over Wifi.
Soooooo............ Does anyone have any ideas? I've Googled, I've searched these forums, I've looked for the last few days for a solution, but I've not seen a single post that seems to cover this issue.

So I flashed the appropriate firmware from samsung-firmware.org, which has fixed my WiFi problem. So, problem fixed, but not solved. If anyone has an idea of why this happened, and how I would install a custom rom and prevent this from reoccurring, I'd be much obliged.
Dear forum,
a few days ago my cellular connection (i can't connect to my provider) doesn't work anymore. Sometimes a day it works for a few minutes, but mostly not.
I have a Galaxy S4 with Lineage OS (was perfectly running) and there was no update when it stopped working.
Meanwhile i tried to wipe and flash the OS but the error is still there.
My sim card is working in other devices and other sims in my don't work too.

Flash stock rom via odin
if after you flashed stock rom via odin it still doesnt work it could be a hardware fault
To eliminate any software problems you must flash stock firmware via odin

Flashed the stock rom as you said, but the error is still there :/
Even when it displays that there is a connection, every call just stops after dialing
So i guess it is a hardware fault?
