Hi so I recently flashed my buddies one s with cyanogen mod and pacman ROM and the ROMs both work flawlessly other then the problem with wifi. The wifi doesn't seem to want to hold a connection. Is there a radio I can flash to get this working? He keeps complaining about the wifi dropping right after connecting. The problem only happened after I rooted and flashed his phone. Any help would be appreciated.

I have also this problem with my One S. It seems that it doesn't want to connect to all WiFi networks since WiFi doesn't work in my home but it works in my school. Someone suggested to me that the problem is bad version of wpa-supplicant binary. I didn't have this problem until I flashed CM10.2 Stable. Sometimes WiFi won't connect before I switch WiFi off and back on. Currently the only solution seems to be changing the settings of the WiFi router if possible. Make sure that WiFi channel is 11 or smaller and try changing the encryption settings.

hey guys
today i FINALLY fixed my phone and downloaded a rom called "SuperVillain_Shensation-1.2-unsigned.zip" which worked fine and the new rom installed happy days!
however, for some reason, everytime i try to turn my wifi on, on the sensation it just doesnt seem to do anything.. it only connects to my 3G network :/
is there anything i could do to solve this? or is it probably best to just download a new rom?
all help would be appreciated!

I am an unhappy user of a Samsung S3 since yesterday. I have received the phone, unpacked it , charged it. It powered up ,worked fine. This is not my first Android device so i decided to root it after half an hour of use +/-.
Win7(64bit)/ Odin 1.85/ CF Root SGS6 v6.3. Rooted fine. Time for a new ROM ? think so too CWM recovery/BACK-UP installed CriskeloROM SIII ICS v2. Works fine, can receive calls make them, text message , browse net through 3G.
But the problem starts with wifi - it connects to my router,obtains an IP adress but there is no internet. LAN is connected because i can see other users on the network and access a GoFlex drive which is shared on the home network.
I was stupid enough to root the device before checking if the wifi worked, so i have no clue if it worked before i rooted and installed the custom ROM.
Anyone have any thoughts, on things i could carry out in order to get the wifi working?
p.s from the router side of things everything looks fine.

Hello fellow developers,
I am having a problem with my custom rom. I was using FoxHound previously but their latest update i.e 1.9 didnt quite impress me, with much more battery drain than 1.7 and 1.8. Anyways I shifted to PA 2.54 now, but the Wifi does not detect any wireless other than the one in my room and it doesn't connect to that too, it asks for authentication, accepts but they nothing. It says "saved, secured ......."
earlier I had MIUI too, no WIFI problems. I installed stock JB today and it still had an issue but after a hard reset everything was fine. I flashed my phone AOSP too today, the same WIFI problem was there.
Any help?

Well guys, i'm new here, but i'm lost i can't find a solve for it, i have razr HD xt925 and every Custom ROM i flash come with WiFi issue (ReVolt,CyanogenMod,PacMan,Carbon) and when i come back to Stock ROM it works perfectly what can it be? And can you guys help me? I don't know where to ask anymore. The WiFi issue is that in the Custom Roms it keeps showing that it is connected but many times the WiFi don't have signal but it keeps showing that it's connected and normal and when i back for Stock ROM, no problems, works perfectly
Hi guys, I got the nexus 5 a while back and I have successfully rooted and flashed Cataclysm ROM with the Elemental Kernel.
I have a really strange problem where the WiFi does not work at all. I turn the WiFi on, but it does not scan and find any networks, so I cannot see any WiFi networks in the area. I reflashed the ROM cleanly and the problem went away for a while, but it is now back and I cannot find and networks around me.
The only network it picks up is my home network that I set the phone up with when it was working, but now I have to enter even that manually.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Does the wifi work when you do not use the Cataclysm ROM and it was completely stock? Or before you even started did you just root it and load a ROM?

hehe yeah, i had stock for about 2 days but then cataclysm persuaded me!
That is strange because I am running it along with Franco Kernel and I am doing fine..... Are you doing anything else?
