hey guys
today i FINALLY fixed my phone and downloaded a rom called "SuperVillain_Shensation-1.2-unsigned.zip" which worked fine and the new rom installed happy days!
however, for some reason, everytime i try to turn my wifi on, on the sensation it just doesnt seem to do anything.. it only connects to my 3G network :/
is there anything i could do to solve this? or is it probably best to just download a new rom?
all help would be appreciated!

Hello I'm new here and had a question about my htc inspire or desire. somebody installed a custom rom I guess to unlock the phone for me everything works but the wifi seems to be not working. Its connected to the router and it shows gr8 signal also shows its connected but some how I dont have any data or access to the internet it says web page cannot display? and I cant use android apps or market or gmail. Plz help thanks

My problem solved. It was caused by the custom rom. So what you can do is try to go back with the stock rom or install a new rom and flash it. Make sure you have backed up all your stock rom so incase if something goes wrong you can get back to your old rom.

I have a little problem with my WiFi conection.
I have reairep my Sensation thanks to ganeshp (Thanks man!). I had to install a ROM ´cuase we couldn´t find the original one for Sensation Vodafone in Spain...I´ve installed virtuous_inquisition-v4.0.2 wich is quite good. But I can´t acces to Wi-Fi (problem I have since I installed IceCream).
Ganehp says that probably is a Hardware problem...there´s anyway to check it, or repair my WiFi conection
I ´ve flashes my boot.img as a solution people says works, reflash the ROM with and withour any wipe,...

If your wifi manager shows the network for a couple of seconds and then disapears use wifixmanager. Its an apk which should fix that problem upon installing the fix but requires root. If the wifi signal doesnt catch at all flash a different kernel probably sebastians kernel and it should start working. The last resort is to use another rom. I had a problem where the wifi wouldnt catch at all so using lightning 2.0 rom with sense 4.0 now with sebastian kernel. works like a charm

Yesterday sudelly my wifi and BT isn't working, Wifi giving me "error" when I am tring to enable it.
Today I flashed a new kernel with a new ROM and it is still not working.
I tried to use Wifix manager and it didn't help either.
Anyone one got any idea what to do?
I am currently running CM10 by Kang rom and his kernel.
I'm not to familiar with that rom but have you tried to do a clean install with full wipe? I'm running jelly bean too but different rom and was having Wi-Fi problems it just would not connect. So I did a full wipe and another clean install then it started working perfectly for me. It' couldn't hurt to try. Hope this helps. It worked for me. Best wishes

Did you have the problem with the masseage "error" on wifi?
Mine kept saying "connecting" but never connected. It just kept connecting over and over. But would not actually connect. After I wiped again and did another install it connected without a problem however I never got a message actually saying "error".by chance have you tired another rom to see if it connects ? Could be rom related? Maybe try another rom and see if the error continues to appear?
Or is this happening on all roms you install?

First I tried to reinstall my old rom and still didn't worked but now I tested with different rom and still having that issue.
I hope its not an hardware problem.
Have you tried wifix? I believe you can download from here it might help.

Im having same problem! But in JB roms my BT IS working so I think its not hardware problem coz BT and WIFI are on same chip. And more and more ppl are getting this problem and looks like no one can help us. So pls DEVS help us somehow .

Could be a hardware issue. It's happening on my phone too, and i've flashed several roms.
This occured right after I dropped by my phone, and since it's both BT and Wifi, which the antenna's are located in the same relative area on the phone - i'd assume that's the issue.
Well guys, i'm new here, but i'm lost i can't find a solve for it, i have razr HD xt925 and every Custom ROM i flash come with WiFi issue (ReVolt,CyanogenMod,PacMan,Carbon) and when i come back to Stock ROM it works perfectly what can it be? And can you guys help me? I don't know where to ask anymore. The WiFi issue is that in the Custom Roms it keeps showing that it is connected but many times the WiFi don't have signal but it keeps showing that it's connected and normal and when i back for Stock ROM, no problems, works perfectly

When I slide the wifi "on", it immediately slides back to "off". It didn't even scan for networks. Does anyone know what is the cause of this problem and how can I fix it? The last working custom rom I used was the Infusion rom. Right after I install the stock firmware, the wifi no longer works anymore.

I got the same exact problem after I flashed the faux kernel. :/ Were you able to find a solution yet?
