Hello I'm new here and had a question about my htc inspire or desire. somebody installed a custom rom I guess to unlock the phone for me everything works but the wifi seems to be not working. Its connected to the router and it shows gr8 signal also shows its connected but some how I dont have any data or access to the internet it says web page cannot display? and I cant use android apps or market or gmail. Plz help thanks

My problem solved. It was caused by the custom rom. So what you can do is try to go back with the stock rom or install a new rom and flash it. Make sure you have backed up all your stock rom so incase if something goes wrong you can get back to your old rom.

I own a Motorola Defy. I am kind of new to android developement. i had 2.2 on my phone and wanted to upgrade, followed all the steps available online for cyanogen 7.1, liquid arc, etc. with all the ROM's i had the same problem. Everything goes fine, until i reboot my phone. The moment i do that after installing new ROM. I loose network connectivity and a pop up msg comes up continously saying android.phone.com stopped responding. From there i have to do the complete wipe once again. i read in some forum about flashing radio, however i dont see this option in my recovery mode at all.
Anybody who knows how to resolve this????????

However, I was already running Froyo on my defy. I can also go back to that via RSD or by restoring it to the ROM i backedup before i started this testing. My concern is why i am not able to Install this custom ROM and make it working when all others can do it without any issues. I am still running Cyanogen nightly ROM (2.3.7). I also know the moment i restart my phone it will loose network connectivity and will keep getting those pop msgs. Is there a way to curb that.

You can look for MIUI for the defy. I have also MIUI on my Defy and it works perfect

I was missing the defy baseband update. Thank fully that fixed the network connectivity issue. Now i am running ICS 4.0.1 perfectly. Except the camera everything is working smooth. Had little issue with restore from Titanum backup. But an unregistered version of TB fixed it.

today i FINALLY fixed my phone and downloaded a rom called "SuperVillain_Shensation-1.2-unsigned.zip" which worked fine and the new rom installed happy days!
however, for some reason, everytime i try to turn my wifi on, on the sensation it just doesnt seem to do anything.. it only connects to my 3G network :/
is there anything i could do to solve this? or is it probably best to just download a new rom?

Hope you guys can help me. I'm lost right now. (COMPLETE NOOB)
Yesterday I rooted my htc amaze 4g with Hasoon's tool and it worked. Then I installed the Speed 8.0 rom on my phone and everything worked except that it did not recognized my mobile data. I could not even see the 4g in the corner next to the signal symbol.
After that I thought my Wind phone might not be 100% compatible with that ROM (since the rom might be for tmobile phones or something) so I tried the FastAmaze rom but the same. Now I'm trying to go back to the Stock rom, but I cant.
I tried downloading the RUU but once I start the process, it can not be completed. I don't get an exact error it only tells me that the usb might not be connected to the phone or to check the battery. I tried the same thing many times.
I really need data on my phone (Plus I'm paying for it). Can someone help me to restore the STOCK rom or to get data in the Speed or Fast Amaze rom? To avoid future problems I would prefer to just stick to the Stock rom, but if is not possible then as long as I can get data on my phone I'm happy.

Well guys, i'm new here, but i'm lost i can't find a solve for it, i have razr HD xt925 and every Custom ROM i flash come with WiFi issue (ReVolt,CyanogenMod,PacMan,Carbon) and when i come back to Stock ROM it works perfectly what can it be? And can you guys help me? I don't know where to ask anymore. The WiFi issue is that in the Custom Roms it keeps showing that it is connected but many times the WiFi don't have signal but it keeps showing that it's connected and normal and when i back for Stock ROM, no problems, works perfectly
I have an ls980, cloudy g2 is the only rom that will install, but there is no network connection, and no nothing will work to fix it. already tried every fix on the internet. my backup from 5.0.2 got deleted so i cant revert back that way. I just want to go back to unrooted, but nothing works. having so many problems with drivers, ( phone not showing up under port), so I cannot flash back to stock. please help me, I am leaving tomorrow for a trip, and I would like to have a working phone.
TWRP version 2.8.6.1, rooted with kingroot.
