[Q] [q]usb mode[connects then closes]

thank you if you would like to help.
me problem is my galaxy s 2.3.6 rom
usb mode.
first usb cable....charges...but usb mode not recognized.
second usb cable....charges...recognized usb....connects and just closes.
well that sums it all up.
i just want to have a usb mode back.
and can anyone clarify if you can flash is you don't have usb mode..
if usb mode cannot be fixed atleast i want to be able to flash..

u simply put ur fon in download mode by presing down vol+home key+power btn and connect it to pc through ur usb cables. chek in device manager that ur fon has been added as new com port and also verify it by odin. if ur fon is recognized by odin then ur usb cables and fon is working fine.

im just afraid that i my DOWNLOAD MODE will be affected by the USB MODE error..

thnx for increasing my thanks meter, download mode cant be affected by any software. Its built-in facility to recover your from all kind of rom failures, personaly i tested this when i destroy my rom and boot loader too and my fon is jst showing samsung popular pc-phone

thank you for your help sir.
i've just fixed my usb port.
i poke cleaned it with a needle and it sparked and shut down.
thought it was broken but then i restarted and usb mode is recognized.
hope i can flash again soon.
do you know a CWM KERNEL for a 2.3.6 android version?
i only know how to flash rom using ODIN not CWM so i dont know which CWM i need to flash an ICS rom.

ok flash any rooted kernel, like semaphore through odin. download and put ics rom zip file to your sdcard, goto cwm recovery by pressing vol up+menu+power then select install zip from sdcard then browse ics rom zip n press ok

Rooting on Micromax funbook pro p500

Hello guys this is my first post on xda
and i have got a rooting tutorial for Micromax FunbookPro P500
ROOTING
Downloads
1) download the Rooting software from the following link
http://www.unlockroot.com/
2) ADB drivers

HOW TO ROOT
1) Now that you have downloaded the UnlockRoot exe file you will have to install it. It may take some time. Close the application after you have finished installing it.
2) ADB drivers are required to make sure your PC detects the tablet.
First try to install it normally but if it fails follow the method in this tutorial as it is.
Make sure you have enabled USB Debugging on your tab. Go to Settings > Developer Options > Turn On USB Debugging.
Root:
Now finally open the UnlockRoot application. The interface will look like this.

I'm using MI BOOK MI3 tab....and its worked for me like a charm....thanks bro its very useful for root any devices .....

no shell root found
it says "no shell root found". wht shud i do?

After checking USB debugging, just plug ur device to PC with data cable. Tats it. U must see, USB debugging connected in notification.

[Q] Help (uninstallation method ) error running exec

Hello
first ,i install program for kitkat 4.4 and my old 4.0.4 (
the device can't open again ,so i wipe data/factory rest and wipe cache partition
my device tab 2 p5100
after this it's work and when i try access network by WiFi i get "obtaining IP address" after a short time it messages "Network disabled. Poor connection" ( my S3 connect fine and pc )
try to fix this problem after 2 days i found anther one have this problem and he upgrade the system and work fine
i get the android kitkat 4.4.1 and when try to connect the device by USB odin can't see the device ( my S3 connect fine)
USB debugging is enabled ,i think now the problem in avast anti-Theft so i try to uninstall this program
when i try to uninstall i get
Could not write to /system directory (Error running exec().
Command: [mount] Working Directory: null Environment:null).
Retry (it is recommended to retry at least one time)?

the problem was in root
after superuser active by root explorer the WIFI work fine and uninstall anti-thift

Moto g OTG problem

yesterday i brought OTG Cable i tested mouse(wireless) and it works [emoji2] but..
today when i connected my pendrive/mouse it doesn't recognise
help

dunno Wats ur problem but for usb drive just download the Es file explore from play store them go to the settings > LOCAL > UR USB NAME > Click it try this.. hope it will work on ur moto g..

no i have Es file explore
but it dosent show any new drive
and i tested 1 and 4 pin from multimeter and it show 4v

Otg support
My moto g reading the usb through otg but when i unmount the storage and unplugged the usb a msg comes in the bar it tells. To mount the storage and when i try to clear the msg from the notification bar it doesnt get clear another problem i am facing is when i plugged in the usb mouse through otg i had wirk reallyhard to move its cursor and when i plugged it out and trt to open gallery or inage video an error msg comes saying no external storage and nothing is opening unless i switched off the device and then open it kindly help on thrse topics.

Its minor bug in 4.4.2 Update its fixed in 4.4.4 so dont worry... But on ur 4.4.2 u have to reboot it every time when u gonna use the usb to get rid of notification symbol...

I factory reset my phone and it work

Samsung Note 4 Costum Rom Installing

Hello, I've found a Galaxy Note 4 in my room and decided to put twrp or something on it but when i plug it in my laptop it says device not recognized
I've tried everything, Kies, drivers smartswitch
I rebooted in download mode put the tar file in odin in AP
And I get
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 0)
Please help me

Hey man, try unplugging and plugging it in again..... and maybe head into windows update and look for a driver wanting to install that is waiting for approval.....
What is the exact error message displayed on the laptop and what do you see in odin when you flash....send screenshots pls.

Yea a blue bar should appear saying (0) com showing that a device is connected.
kindly first try going back to stock rom....then try the twrp using odin.
Try all of these and see if it works....

The cable isn't a problem i tried 5 cables , same thing, i guess twmorrow i ll try on my dads laptop

hahaha download mode is not bad on your main phone. just dont flash anything accidentaly

Ok butt how i exit download mode

I was having problems entering download mode but i entered it

cool it works....
to exit download mode you just hold power button and volume down...
doesn't it tell u when you load in the download mode tho?
