Has anyone tried this battery from china before Heliothion 9600mah. I haven't been able to find anyone mentioning about them. Might just try my luck here.
Will it show proper battery percentage?
Will it hold charge as it claims?
i'm interested too

I'm curious as to what the best standard size high capacity battery for the Samsung Galaxy S is.
After some searching the Andida 1850mah battery seems to be the best choice, but I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the other high capacity batteries such as the 1800mah one that's floating around on ebay:
cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150532499575&category=20336&_trksid=p5197.c0.m619
Any help would be greatly appreciated
On the seller's feedback page I found the following comments:
not 1800mAH battery, last no longer than a normal nattery. But a good extra batt
Correct battery got here faster than expected from China no less better than OEM
Battery works great. Seems to provide a bit more juice then stock
This battery is junk. Only lasted 6 hours with my phone in standby. Don't buy
The battery work ok, but not last longer then my 1500mah original battery.
Yeah there's mixed reviews on it so I was just wondering if anyone had any personal experience with it.
Also, i'm curious if anyone knows anything about this:

Does anyone know if i get one of those extended life batteries that i am hearing so much about and i was wondering.... If the system is set to read the stock batterys stats then is there anything different that i have to do once i put one of those higher powered batteries in the phone? Do i just have to calibrate it? i want to get one for the extra life but not at the expense of having stats that are way off. thanks in advance!
I havent seen any yet but If your looking for ways to zave battery just hold the lock button and turn off mobile connection
Sent from my cellular device
Not being rude but there are literally hundreds of posts like this. For this phone alone there are about 4 or 5 threads. No need to start another one. Please just post in an existing thread about extended batteries.
Look up Powerskin for your phone as well.
I have read a bit about calibrating our Sensations battery. I have bought 2 spare batteries on ebay (same mah) which are charged from a wall socket. Now my question is, will switching batteries mess up the calibration? Or does the device "know" which battery is used and apply a different profile or something like that?
Thnx!
I was wondering about that too. I just popped a larger battery in my Sensation and it seems to be giving me longer battery life, but I'm not sure I'm getting all I can out of it. Anyone out there have an answer to the calibration question?
Yes, and especially what happens if you keep switching batteries?
I'm actually half way making an app that switches the battery calibration. Is anyone interested?
Sent g.
What exactly will this app do?

I'm pretty sure it's not yet supported by the software...
it's an older phone at this point. maybe it's losing power faster than it can figure it out? hopefully one of you out there knows a fix for this. thx

The G5 isn't THAT old, geez.
Anyway, my V20 was doing this, and it was just a ****ed up battery, misreporting it's percentages.
You can also try to do the battery stats cleaners if you are rooted, but I don't know if those even work anymore.
What I would recommend, is let the battery die, then charge it with a 900mah charger.(Something from an older phone) and let it sit without touching it.
Sometimes letting it charge with the slower chargers helps get it back to life

thanks. I may try that. though i charge my batterIES in an external charger that I guess is standard speed. definitely not as fast as charging by phone itself

The rechargable battery is kaput. The fix is to replace the battery.

thanks. makes sense. I'll keep an eye on all three, see the differences.
The battery being kaput isn't exactly true I don't think. I have 3 different batteries and without fail at 15% it will tell me the battery is dead and it will then proceed to shut down. No bettery saver, just a black screen. Phone has been doing this since I got it. Stock rom or custom doesn't matter. Not sure if this is the right place to post, I have a H850.

I have this problem and at 20_30 % gone.
I think that is something on kernel.
Can it solved???????????
Replace battery. Only sure way of isolating The issue
Phone shutting off at about 15-30% power without warning
This is the third phone I've had it was just replaced about 3 months ago I should say third replacement... Gets really hot messes up here in there... Recently I updated with the new 8.0 software... Now my battery cuts out at about 24% like clockwork so I replaced it with a new factory battery bought a T-Mobile for too much money... And it does the exact same thing... The bloody unit used to be able to do maps I could text and do other stuff at the same time and it would last you know for a while now if I do maps and a couple of emails or mean or text it's dead within an hour dot-dot-dot all since I've gotten that new 8.0 software

Definitely get a new battery, I had 2 batteries for my phone and both were doing that, ordered a new one off Amazon and it drained all the way to 1%

I'll second this. My main battery did start to swell a little besides the sudden shutdown at 15%. I also know that this swelling can eventually cause the fingerprint sensor to malfunction. Beware. Anyhow, I decided to use the "almost dead" battery to game for long hours while charging (PUBG). My healthy new battery was used for normal usage besides gaming. Hope this helps!
Hi!
My x2 started to freeze when charging. I started to wonder if it's because of the charger, because I lost the original one and just started to use a samsung charger I had in the drawer. Although I've been using it for a year now..
If someone would be so kind and post a pic or the details of the original charger so I could try if that would remedy the problem.
Thx
My experience is that the original charger is actually not as good as the Samsung charger by any means. The original charger I believe is actually out putting less than in this specification which is 2 amps. The Samsung charger is much better and charges the phone faster. However I have also noticed something really weird in that sometimes after charging the phone overnight my battery is only at around 80% or so and this is random because it only happens sometimes and most times it charges fully. Not sure if anybody else has seen this Behavior

So the original charger is 5V, 2A? Thanks. I'll try some other charger. It may be busted. Or I have to do a factory reset and see if that fixes the problem

Yes, yesterday my 2 year X2 started to do the same. I was stunned when after short time of charging I realised so phone was freezed and got quite hot on the back. Orange light slowly blinking and after restart it was 80% charged. I suppose it's problem with original charger. I have to look for another one...
//Edit - this is not original charger but Samsung - 5V/2A which till now was working without problems. It's not depends on charger type, occurs even during connecting to USB in PC.
//Edit - if you switch off charger and let it be some time, the phone starts anew. But, what is interesting, newly made TWRP nandroid backup turns out to be delted from SD card.during this 'blackout'..
//Edit - it starts occur not only during charging.. But in such case after self-acting restart phone goes to bootloop so it is needed to restart it manually and then it starts realatively quicker than normal.
Hmm.. could it be the battery dying? I'm using simply international B202 ROM. If changing the charger doesn't help I'll flash the newest ROM in and if even that doesn't fix it I guess I'll change the battery.
Same problem on mine but not when charging. Try my LineageOS 13 ROM, it's faster than EMUI and should make the phone feel faster again. I think Huawei is pulling an Apple and slowing our phones down as the battery dies.
I did a TWRP factory reset and the problem vanished! Hope it won't come back.. I'll try your lineage ajsmsg78 if necessary thx for the tip and all your work!
I have been having very unusual battery issues lately and I do not think it has to do with the charger at all but rather the physical battery itself.
Symptom 1: After charging overnight, by battery is only approx 79% charged
Symptom 2: Battery does MUCH quicker
Symptom 3: When battery gets to approx 20% it does right away giving the popup message that the battery is dead and the phone will turn off in 30 seconds - sounds like defective cell
Symptom 4: Putting the phone on charger when battery is critically low (10%) for 3 minutes, the battery level jumps to 90%
Does anyone know where we can buy a GOOD QUALITY battery to replace for the X2? I know there are some links on AliExpress but I do not know if I can trust those aftermarket batteries in terms of quality and life and reliability.
Also does anyone know how easy it is to replace? I have good soldering skills but don't know if here is more involved than that.
Edit: In the unlikely event that this is a software issue, I might try to clear my "batterystats.bin" file.

Unfortunately all those symptoms talk about battery dying state...

I thought about it either so will try it soon. Maybe switch to Lineage OS but I greatly appreciate smart case function in EMUI...

I took apart a Mate 9 and replaced some insides and it was really easy. The X2 shouldn't be any different. You don't have to solder anything, just pull up the flex cable connecting the battery to the motherboard and then pull on the tab on the bottom of the battery to remove the sticky tape underneath it then use some force to pull it up. I only see aftermarket batteries for the X2 so you may not have any other choice but to buy one of those. Your battery is definitely dying though.
