Hi i am using Hercolubus Rom v 2.7 but i dont like default message application. when i install other application like GO SMS or OTHER then i recieve any sms on both application in default n other. So my Ques is How to replace default Message to Other Msg Apk ?
i try to remove default but when i did this.. message wont working So i reinstall rom again for working again.
Thanks n sorry for bad english
This is a problem with GoSMS. They have an option in one of the settings that you have to tick to fix the problem. I haven't used GoSMS in a long time so i can't remember where the setting is.
You can freeze/uninstall the app from Link2SD (even without linking your apps) or you can remove /system/app/Mms.apk from ADB or a File manager that supports root exploring (ES File Manager, Root Explorer) in this case you need to remember that you MUST remount the system partition as r/w.

[Q] Disappeared Multi-Window Apps?

Just installed Android 4.1.2 today.
For some reason, a few hours after, I noticed GMAIL and Youtube no longer had the Multi-Window Icon and capability to open in Mult-Window Mode.
I had to manually add it back in using the Multi-Window Manager APP.
What happened?
I had just installed Titanium Backup Pro earlier and backed up a couple apps (but no restore). Could that have caused something to do wrong?
bump
I installed the 4.1.2 Canadian stock ROM today and Gmail and YouTube are available via the multi-window options at the bottom of the screen. I didn't need to install them via an apk (which is good because that doesn't work on my Note for some reason).

Application is not installed on your phone

Hi everyone,
I recently decided to convert some system apps to user apps so that I can greenify them with the free version of greenify.
Most of them were successful except for the following apps:
1. Hangouts
2. Music
3. Internet
4. Play Movies
I used the titanium backup feature to convert them. I did it for a bunch of others and they were all successful.
For the apps above that failed, I no longer see a directory for these apps in both /system/priv-app or data/app. They seem to have vanished?
I still have the shortcuts for these apps in my app drawer / home screen but they are the green android icon and when I click on them I receive the following error: Application is not installed on your phone
Would anyone be able to help me with this issue? phone is SM-G920W8 with android 5.02 rooted with cf auto root and TWRP custom recovery using stock rom.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: managed to install hangouts and play movies through the playstore as user apps and all is fine. Can anyone provide the stock music and internet apps for 5.0.2? thanks.

Why not stay with the HiApp method? Just install Google play and then uninstall HiApp.

i did a factory reset but the problem is still there.
what could i have done wrong installing gmail from HiApp?
-after factory reset the first thing i did was giving full permissions to all apps, disable battery savers, autostart them, etc.
-thene installed only gmail (no other software all settings stock)
-give full permission to gmail
-no notification from gmail. whatsapp, etc are working
is the gmail-APP in HiApp a modified version for huawei phones or is it the same like in google playstore?
i installed b211 update from b209 whene it was in beta stage. maybe this is the problem? (i think the version b211 are all the same?)
Can't tell if the Gmail from HiApp is any different. Before I installed anything, I first updated from B028 (which was a forced install) to B029. Then installed Gmail, WhatsApp and so on. Never disabled anything globally, only gave permission to apps like Gmail and WhatsApp, like start on boot etc. I also lock them from being closed (by pulling them down in the running apps overview when you press the rectangle).
