Ever since this update I am having lots of issues. I am getting a 907 vm error everyday. I am getting connection issues and no Internet connection errors in all my apps. Touchscreen has a horrible lag now. In music apps like Spotify after a song ends it uses to go the next song automatically now I have to go back into the app for the next song to play. I wish I never did this upgrade...any advice
Sounds like a factory reset is in your future.

Disable Power Save, it block background data making all apps says "No internet".
Go to settings and select Battery then go to upper right and select More then Optimize Battery and deselect apps you are having issues with such as Voice Mail. Works for me.

Hey guys, I've been using pandora, and I've noticed that pandora is skipping literally every other song right now. As in, it'll load the next song, the artwork will show, nothing will play, and then it'll skip to the next song which starts playing. This is really frustrating since its skipping some great songs...
Can anyone offer any advice?

Try clearing data...and cache for pandora...uninstall...reinstall
If it continues check your stagefright settings in system/build.prop ...change http from true to false.
It may be network related. how are your buffer/load times for things like youtube and websites or other streaming services?
are you using the most recent pandora app?

I changed the setting to false like you said, and then wiped data and uninstalled pandora and reinstalled, and so far 4 songs have played without a skip! It hasn't done that in these past 2 days of monitoring, so I'm inclined to think its fixed, but I'll keep watching.
Thank you very much.
Edit: 7 songs in a row now. May I ask what that stagefright http setting is for? What does the true and false toggle do?
http://freepine.blogspot.com/2010/01/overview-of-stagefrighter-player.html
true is on
false is off
leaving wifi notifications on and not being connected (i.e.e driving around) can cause issues too....it interrupts music when it finds access points.
personally I use auto wifi enabler...it turns your wifi on and off based on gps location....so it comes out when you are near a known access and turns it off when you leave that area
how are you guys editing that file? I can make changes and i save when i exit but when i go back in and check its still set to True
Dammit, sigh. I switched ROMs to GSinfuse, and then serendipity 7, and the skipping is continuing on both of these. I did the same thing as before, changed the stagefright value to false, wiped data and reinstalled, and the problem persists...I've tried it on 3 different connections now, and it does the same thing. Any advice?
I've tried multiple version of pandora, including the latest off the market, same thing happens in all of them.

Same thing was happening to me...i googled and found this thread so i followed for my samsung captivate and no go. So when i flashed a new ROM I tried it once more but this time I:
> force stop Pandora, cleared Pandora's data, then uninstalled
> changed stagefright=false
> reboot recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache (why not, right?)
> restart and installed a modified Pandora apk by yak on another droid forum and everything seems to be working now.
hi
Bug is straightforward --
Over on the Galaxy S6 non-edge (Verizon branded), over Verizon 4G, Google Play Music either will not load songs at all, or will load them after several minutes of loading. 1080p videos on YouTube load in seconds, so it's not directly related to my 4G speeds.
Works fine over Wifi and with other devices.
I've tried the following with no results:
Uninstall Google Music App Updates (with phone restart)
Reinstall Google Music (with phone restart)
Reset Phone Settings (with phone restart)
Restore Factory Settings (with phone restart)
Clearing Google Play Music cache and data
Sometimes a song or two will come up that decide to load. If I skip on to the next track, the next one will just hang for two to three minutes before playing.
Any ideas?
My Google music has been working perfect over 4g when I'm at the gym. That's weird bro

My next step is to replace the phone with Verizon. If that doesn't fix it then.... well, hopefully that fixes it!
I'm having the same exact problem with my phone too I thought it was just me
Sandman, which market are you in? I'm in the Atlanta area, been having this issue all parts of town so I don't think it's a certain tower.
I'm in Maryland and both the DC/Baltimore areas have been giving me problems
I'm having the same issue! I'm in the Atlanta area as well (Clayton County for work. Dekalb County in the evening). All other streaming music apps work fine except for Google Play Music. YouTube loads a little slower than I would like too. Even on WiFi it still loads up pretty slow.
Same here
I am in Atlanta also and have been having issues.
What makes me feel A LITTLE better is that i checked my wife's S5 and it is having the same issues as my new S6.
Sounds like a Google Play problem and not an S6 one.
google play music
I am having the same problem...also on my new s6...as well as my wifes s5.....we are in the warner robins area south of Macon....Plays fine over wifi for both phones.... it has to be a bug within the app itself... I hope there is a fix soon...it's annoying!
Got mine working [fixed]
Okay...I was able to fix this.
I went into Manage App section and uninstalled update for Google Music and then I cleared cache in the same screen. Also, make sure you go to the play store settings and select the option to NOT update apps automatically. After having no luck with Google support for about an hour, I was able to do this and my music has been working fine for about an hour while steaming.
Edit:
It appears as though the cache has to be cleared (using the same process above) every time you connect to a wifi and then go back to network. I ran into the issue again after connecting to wifi, but it is back to normal after clearing the cache. It will take about 15 seconds for the first song to start, but it will go back to normal after that.
It hasome been working fine for me since I have gotten home today. Music loaded quick on 4G and I was able to play songs from different albums without waiting for it to buffer.
google music bug
I spoke with a google employee today who told me that engineers were aware of the problem and are currently working on a fix...in the meantime she told me to uncheck "automatically cache" under settings ....I haven't had a problem with it playing over 4g anymore today...will play Instantly....hope this helps those who are still having issues
i am having an issue that i cannot figure out and i am hoping someone can help. i have a galaxy s6 through Bell and it is completely stock and i have not modified it in any way. i am having an issue where some apps, but not others, will not download data unless i am on wifi. i do have some apps that have background data restricted but i am having issues when the apps are in the foreground and are actively being used. i have checked to make sure that there are no data limits or restrictions blocking data, i have full lte signal and i have tried toggling between lte and 3g with the same results.
i have used the phone for 5 weeks at least and for the first 3 weeks all was good until this issue crept up and i had to do a hard reset. i started from scratch and reset the phone and all was good for another 2 weeks and now it is an issue again. as an example, i open the play store app and it loads up the icons and i can use lte and load all info and pics, etc, but when i try to download a new app or update an existing one it will indicate that it is trying to download but nothing happens. i can switch to the browser and it will open pages but when i switch back to the play store it says that background data is disabled when it is actually not.
today i have also had issues with google music where it will allow me to play radio stations over lte just fine sometimes and other times the icons will be greyed out and it will not allow the radio stream to open unless i switch to wifi. the settings are set up to allow me to stream over data, etc so it should be working.
i have had many android devices in the past and am usually able to figure this stuff out but i am stumped on this one. i tried searching and did not find anything. any help would be appreciated.

Did you check to see if power saver is set to on? Turn it off
If it's not that, check under settings > data usage and make sure "set mobile data limit" is OFF
Thanks but neither of those is the issue. Some apps will work while others will not. Gmail will get push email but I cannot download apps or stream music in play music. Frustrating
Disabling background data will simply stop the app using mobile data to do things in the background. I'd imagine the app recognises streaming as "background data".
I would turn off disable background data on the effected apps as the setting does not improve battery and has very little effect on data used.
I will try that and see. What confuses me is that the phone has been great for a few weeks and suddenly this issue comes back and I have not changed any settings from one day to the next
Ever since I upgraded OTA for marshmallow (i'm bone stock) I've had "connection" issues with multiple apps, regardless if i'm on wifi or 3g/4g.
The google sound search app (whats this song) says "you seem to be offline. Retry?
Google Voice when used pops up the screen saying "offline. check your connection" it does this too when I say "call x cell phone" unless i say "make a call first".
gmail app push notifications are non-existent. I don't email 80%+ of the time unless I manually sync.
Facebook app will constantly think I have no internet connectivity. I have to force updates which rarely works, or quit out of the app and reload.
Playstore does the same from time to time, giving messages about have no connection and to check it.
Voicemail will constantly give me errors: an error occurred, unable to connect to voicemail/visual voicemail. Paraphrasing here.
4 days ago I backed up everything over sftp to my computer and did a factory reset. This seemed to help for a little bit. The apps i've described above acted more normal, but since yesterday I'm having all the same issues again. I've never had any issue like this prior to the marshmallow update. Prior this i went into the settings and did a full reset of all network settings under ireless Controls or Wireless & Networks. that didn't help either
android 6.0.1, baseband G920vvru4cpc2, baseband 3.10.61 [email protected] #1, build number mmb29k.G920vvru4cpc2
no system updates available. What gives, and what else can I provide? Should I report these as bugs to google/verizon?
I also have issues with apps like i heart radio, pandora, after my upgrade, it'll play 1 song or not at all and then after one song it closes out. I tried uninstalling, restarting the phone and then reinstalling but the same issues, and tis with all my audio streaming,.. help!?!?
I've been having the same issues as OP, as well as with Facebook. I'll have to close it out 5 or 6 times before it'll give me the latest posts. It keeps reverting back to May 6 and when opening comments get a message that i'm not connected even though i'm web browsing just fine. Seems to be an issue with the OS and apps.
The Facebook app is junk and notoriously buggy so that maybe your Facebook issue. On top of that its a huge memory hog and might as well be classified as spyware with it's endless permissions (and yes they do monitor you and EVERYTHING you do via the app for "advertising and product placement" purposes). I suggest ditching the app and just access Facebook via web browser. That alone has solved alot of issues for alot of people I know, even issues that seem unrelated to Facebook. Its supprising how miserably coded the Facebook app is and how many problems it is the source of, especially given it's such a large corporation. As for the other issues listed, I personally experience none of them on my Verizon S6. I stream music and video just fine on youtube, pandora and spotify. No connectivity issues... ever. Not with voicemail, google sound search, gmail, play store or any other apps. Do you have a task killer or other "battery optimizing" app that is turning off your wifi and/or mobile data without your knowledge. Thats my only thought.
Settings > Battery > More > Optimize Battery Usage.
Uncheck any apps that are having the problem and see if that helps
Hi,
Wondering if anyone has run into the following issue with their Pixel. My phone is an international model (G-2PW4200) and I bought it exactly a month ago.
The issue is this: I seem to never be able to download any decent size file (e.g. a video on social media sites or apps like Facebook, YouTube, Whatsapp, etc., or to download any app on the Google Play store) via WiFi without the download getting "stuck" half way, sometimes not even at 10%. The download would get stuck indefinitely, and only resume once I disable WiFi and start downloading via LTE. Sometimes it also comes back if I just disable WiFi and enable it again. Another problem I have is that my phone seems to go offline when it's not being used for extended periods of time (that being in the 5-10 minute range given I look at it almost every 10 minutes) despite having WiFi during sleep set to be always on. I can tell this because when I try to log in to something like Whatsapp Web it complains that my phone is offline, and this is a problem that never happened with me with my previous phone in the same setting.
A few points to keep in mind:
1- I have "Keep WiFi on during Sleep" set to "Always"
2- This happens everywhere (at home, work, friends', public WiFi, etc.) so it's not related to just my router's setup, and it happens every single day and almost every single time.
4- System is "up to date" and I have the latest update installed (Android 7.1.1, build NOF26V)
3- I'm still able to browse web pages (via Chrome), and browse apps like Facebook, Whatsapp, etc. without getting interruptions or showing any signs of disconnect. It's only the above two issues that I see when downloading big chunks of data, and for some reason my phone appearing to be offline during sleep when it shouldn't be.
Any idea what may be wrong here and how I can fix this? I really would like to keep this phone, but this is really becoming frustrating.
Thanks.

Yes. And ironically enough I ran into the same problem immediately while restoring my backup as the phone was trying to redownload the previously installed apps. It would get stuck not downloading anything but not complain about a lost connection until I disable WiFi and switch to cellular data.
This reminded me that the first time I ran into the problem was also the very first time I used the phone when also downloading my apps.

can you test your wifi performance with another device?
and also try some download manager like ADM and check download with it.

Given that this happens everywhere, not just with my home WiFi, I know the issue is specific to my Pixel. Unfortunately no one at work has a Pixel to try it, but all other devices connected to the same WiFi spots are fine.
I was told by someone that disabling LTE and sticking to 3G cellular data will fix my WiFi issues. Will be trying that at work today.
