i know i have my phone number showing so i would appreciate it f you would ignore and not call or txt the number shown in the video it is a work number of mine ... i do not poses the knowledge to edit the number out sorry
and it is a private video on my youtube account so only you guys can view it
Earlier today (4/4/16) i was confronted by my dad about not picking up my phone so i checked noticed 1 missed call and a txt message. time went by i decided to call a family member and the call would not connect, tried customer service (metropcs) from the phone again phone call would not connect. so i decided to call metropcs to see if m account was in good standing or if they were having some service failures in my part of town. It comes down to checking the device i picked it up rapidly and heard a rattle from the rear of the phone so i removed my sd card and sim and shook it again and heard that same rattle. That is when i decided i would record ths rattle and post it to see if anyone knows why this is happening ( i cannot open the phone because i just received the phone from amazon less then 2 weeks ago. i still have warranty)
should i be concerned my replacement phone will do the same ?????
id imagine you guys would not troll the phone number i have in the video. that is because it is my work number.
thanks in advance

Mine does the same thing something rattles around inside around the camera/ SIM/ fingerprint scanner area. It's done it since I got it first I thought it was a button, then I thought maybe it was the spring mechanism inside SIM slot 2 so I put a dead SIM card in that I had laying around but it still does it even with that in. I aIso have a microSD card installed so it's not that either.

Na it's still under the manufacturers 1 year warranty or else I would. Plus I'm pretty sure I'm going to be selling it soon. Sadly I love the phone, best phone I ever had but it's been out 6 months now and doesn't have any attention from developers. I need ROMs ,kernels and mods to flash. That's why I buy Android phones. I bought this one thinking with the price and this thing having the hardware specs it does that developers would be flocking to this phone. So it looks like I'm going to be heading to Nexus land because one thing I learned from this phone is that I can't own a phone without a fingerprint scanner again lol I love that thing.
My assumption is that the rattling is from the camera sensor being shaken around. The Pure XL (and its many other named "variants") have OIS capabilities for the camera, where the image sensor can move/tilt a tiny bit to compensate for small movements when taking a picture/video, which will not result in a blurry product.
I'm not sure if it is supported in other camera apps, but it's automatic in the stock camera app when you focus on something when taking a picture, but for video you have to turn it on in the settings (Gear>Anti-shaking).
If you turn the phone over so that the rear camera faces towards you, focus the rear camera on your face with the dedicated shutter button, and move the phone around slightly, you can see the sensor tilting to track your face.
On a side note, not sure if you guys have this problem, but when I don't use my Pure XL's camera for a bit of time (and don't have the stock camera app in my recent apps), it takes a really long time for it to automatically focus when I open the app, but if I shake it around, it will start focusing right away.

From what I understand - the socket to hold the front camera is indeed on our beloved HTC Fuze units.
My question is this:
1. Can we order the part from HTC?
2. It looks like it would be easy enough to install (just cut a hole where it should be) - but what about device drivers and such?
I see that there IS indeed someone out here that has a unit with a front camera - perpahs we can get the drivers off his unit or extract them from a ROM that uses this?
Thoughts....suggestions...???
Thanks!
Not worth it if you ask me..... finding the part is going to be a btch....
better off simply buying an unlocked Touch Pro and enjoying a nicer keyboard layout while you're at it
hmmm...well interesting thoughts. My only issue with that is a) I'm on ATT so a touch pro isn't going to help me out and b) I thought the sprint version of this unit didn't have the front camera either???
I haven't had the guts to actually take my fuze apart yet - I wonder if that camera is acutally there and just simply covered up by the case. My guess is that it's not so they could save the 20 cents on the part..haha.
Tell ya what though - I'm getting sick and tired of these USA carriers ripping us off. The sprint one doesnt have the FM radio - none appear to have the front camera - the verizon didn't have the gps until recently...like WTF they keep selling us these bull**** crippled devices for? Blow 100's of bucks on these units and then the damn carrier turns off or removes all the cool stuff in em? geeeze! Its enough for me to sit down and write a letter to my senator and complain about these unfair practices....
Edit: Ok I just sent an email to HTC asking for the part number and if they would sell me the part - so we'll see.
Also - can anyone clear this up - which versions of the phone actually DO have the front camera? I've seen some websites that compare specs but they seem inaccurate as the website also said the sprint one had an FM radio ability and the fuze did not....
no american phone will have a front camera. they restrict whatever they can to save money. most notably the amount of stuff on the iphone limited to wifi only because att says so. att does do video share but since it takes it from the wrong camera, they hope people will buy the service and never use it. if they put on a front facing camera people would be doing anything they could to use it for free on their network. they would have to pay extra for the bandwidth used by their customers and get nothing back. that doesnt sound very american. the unlocked touch pro doesnt work on american gsm 3g so it would be useless to try to do video with it. and cutting apart your fuze will probably do alot of damage to your touch screen. you will break it, dont try.
"... that doesnt sound very american...."
No it does not. But guess what! I'm willing to trash 3 or 4 units to get it to work..and belive me I will. I have the part # now and have 6 front cameras on the way. ($56US) and they will be here next wednesday.

actually i am surprised they dont have mini usb camera's that we can just plug in to the phone yet. That should be cheaper and less work
Explain me please....
Can anybody explain which are the models that allows video calls. I leave in Argentina, bought my touch Pro in Paraguay and as long as I can see this one does have the front camera. When I try ta make a video call a Warning say to me:
"The 3G network is not available. Do you want to make a voice call instead."
A this time I have a beautiful "G" icon showing at the top off the screen and the Wap conexion icon also Showing the "G" letter and full five bars strong signal meter. Thank you.

It may have been an idea to also purchase a new TOUCH pro flex cable for the screen aswell?
I haven't personally opened a TP up but my understanding is the front camera fits onto the same mebrane which connects to the front speaker/light sensor and the screen and as such, it is likely the Fuze may not have the socket soldered on for the camera?
good luck!

not to sound rude, but the ones that allow video calls witht he front camera are the ones that has the front camera. Just take a look at the actual product, if there is indeed a camera on the top right of the screen (where the ATT logo would've been), then you should be able to do video calls (again, considering that the network you're in has the capabilities.) Good luck
if you get it in, good for you. i wonder how much support there will be though. if the device hasnt removed the ability to use that from a bios-ish point. but if you get it in and it doesnt work, you can pretend you have a non american touch pro by looks alone.
i wonder how much a mirror costs...
Over 9000! pennies.....

Thank you for contacting Google. This is not a good thing or a bad thing, but just a feature inherent in all cameras. The camera will focus on whatever object you point it at and will remain focused until another object enters the field of view and then the camera will try to adjust it focus to encompass the new object in its field of view. Foe example, when you are video taping a football game and you are focused on the cation on the field and then another fan walks in front of you and this disrupts the camera's view and its focus while that person is walking across the field of view. I hope this explains what is going on for you and I will be happy to continue to answer your questions.
Yup i ser the same problem im in canada and bought it from google play store.. Any fix? Is it hardware prob? I think mine is the first batch coz i ordered it after three days it was released

Anyway I can turn it off? Its very irritating
So my phones perfectly normal right?
Happy new year friends !!
Hi I just got my new Note 5 from T-mobile and I noticed main camera is not dead center unlike my note 3 or other phones I have I went back to the T-mobile store and guys there noticed the same thing and we checked the one on the display none of them were centered actually any body know about this issue store guys did not want to exchange it because they are all like that they said. any body know anything about this issue?
Mine is the same way, went to the store and we looked at the displays... All the same. =/ The guy suggested it might be because it's their first unibody design, which sounds plausible.
Camera lens of centered
Just confirmed with tmo tech that it should dead centered and mine sounds very loose clicking when moving phone around.
I think Samsung made some defective phones again lust like note 4 camera issues.
I believe it is due to the lens stabilization. If you turn the camera lens to face you, then open the camera app, the lens snaps to center, and visibly moves as the phone shakes.

You sir are absolutely correct! I found this out later last night as well.
Fwiw both mine and my wife's S6 have a lens that moves off center. It doesn't affect pictures or videos in the least.
Mine was recording clicking sound made by camera moving around as phone shake when recording video at tmobile store guys recorded video in storage room where it's very quiet I returned it I don't think I'll buy another note5 or any samsung phone untill they start to make good devices, my wife has the s6+ and does not any issues that I had with the note5.

What do you mean by this ISO?. I think you meant to say this is OIS which is moving camera lens assembly yes it should move and wiggle when not in use, when in use it should move to compansate motion and it shouldn't make clicking sound that records in to the video.
Foy your information if I was intrested to iphone I would buy one instead of an android device with or without OIS built-in $800.00 device premium price premium device I expected from samsun.

I don't understand how your camera lens is making such a clicking noise laud enough to be caught by your mic... If that's the case than that's really something wrong. And peopel are over reacting returning their phone for lensbnot being centered when that's normal if you want recordba video and while spinnign stop recording and you will see how the lens is not straight

Hi!
So I've been using my Mi 4C for like one and a half month now. Since day one a noticed a shaking sound from the rear camera area whenever I put in on its back on a table or simply tap the area, is anyone experiencing the same? It is as if some part in the camera is moving a tiny bit, so it's not really effecting my use of the phone, it's more about if I should do something about it.
Im noticing the very same thing from day one. I thought it was just me having accidentally knocked the phone too hard to something, but since everything works without any issues, it doesnt seem to be the case.

I honestly thought it was just mine! Also noticed it from day one. I think I saw a metal shield over the processor area in a teardown, I am pretty sure that it's the source of the noise as it is exactly the spot where the sound is coming from. I don't thinj it is anything whatsoever to fuss about, but it does take some of the otherwise quality feel from the phone.
I was thinking the same thing, except from that the phone feels very "robust" for its price tag but since others seems to have the same noise I guess it's how it's "suppose" to be...
Mine has it too and my Mi4i had it also...
Doesn't happen here, I even place my ear close to the phone. Could it be a defect for one production batch that didn't happen on mine?
Mine too.
It's normal, think it's the optics. Had many phones with this. Including nexus 4 and a little bit on one plus one too.

You have to shake the phone right way in order to hear it. Seems like flat area up and down movement causes it mostly. Ex. If you put the phone on desk.
Alternatively that part may be stuck somehow in your device
Same here, it reminds me of the rattle in the iTouch 5G camera.

Done, I still don't hear anything. Why the hell am I looking for it anyway? :3
So from what I can tell from all of the answers the noise is obviously something many seem to have, but it seems normal and not harmful. If anybody happens to open up their phone they could maybe have a look in that area, but personally I think it comes from within the camera... (I might open mine up if I find a good place to buy the dark grey back cover...)
Hello all,
(This is might be slightly long but I need to mention the full context..)
About two months ago, my rear camera stopped focusing on object further away with a min of 30 cm after a slight knock to the top edge, no harm or real damage done. I looked around and found this was a common problem and best thing to do is to send it to the warranty expecting a quick fix.
This is where the problem started, I sent it to the country I bought it from as it turns that my local huawei store doesn't accept any device from a foreign country. Few days after it was taken inside they notified me to send for someone to take it from the office/store. My friend went and received it and quickly checked if the camera got fixed and yes, it was back to normal.
Before I sent the phone in the first place I had a hard factory reset to make everything easier for the operator if he needed to do something, so all the fingerprint configs and such were not just used.
I came to that country to visit and take the phone back, once I opened the box again, I found a slight scratch, a small metallic bar missing around ~1 cm on that same region and a tiny hole on the right side edge of phone that is supposed to be covered under that bar (the type of holes done by the small bits screwdrivers). It seems that the technician open the phone from that angle via that hole to remove the upper face (the screen and such) to fix the camera motor or whatever was wrong in the first place. I decided to go talk to them only to find out that my fingerprint sensor is completely lost is not capable of following/detecting any finger print. I assumed that the circuit is connect or that there's power because there's vibration when I try to set up a new print however the sensing mechanism is either destroyed or altered after that camera fix (it makes sense since they should be right next to each other..)
I went to that same warranty office yesterday and now they won't fix the sensor because of that physical damage done by their technician and their defense was "whoever picked it up the first time should have noticed everything before leaving that store door". I was/am livid and cannot think straight since then.
I can supply some photos of the phone to help picture the situation.
tl;dr: I sent my phone to fix camera to the huawei warranty office, they fixed the camera but the technician did some damage while opening the phone and made the fingerprint sensor not functional in the process, now they won't take it back because of that damage and now the warranty is void.
I am asking for ideas or something to do to move ahead, I am wondering if this scenario is legit in the eyes of other folks and if I should try hard contacting huawei's global warranty and report this whole thing on a bigger scale.
Thanks!
